We spent two nights there on two occasions-- flying in and flying out 3 weeks later. The included breakfast was very nice- what one would hope for with out getting fancy. We certainly appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Rooms both times were clean, orderly, and well maintained. It was especially nice to know that there is an all night staff person- allowing late check ins such as we required. I have no hesitation in returning.
Clean, large room, with a small patio. Quiet, comfortable. Bed was nice. Staff friendly, breakfast not something to write home about but since ii is included, there is not much to complain about. I would come back again.
Room was reasonably clean and well appointed. Had iron and Iron board, mini-fridge, microwave,WIFI, TV. Front desk gals were helpful. Good breakfast, to include bacon, sausage, eggs and good coffee. Very pricey....compare to $50-60 in the states.....including tax we were charged $231.55 for 2 nights.
Worst mattress ever...A stretch to even call it a mattress. I thought I would have to sleep on the floor. AND, there were 2 beds in the room. I finally found a spot in the middle of the bed where I wasn't afraid I would fall off becuse the springs were popping out everywhere . I asked if all mattresses were the same and I was told yes. The hotel staff were nice enough to only make me stay one of my 2 nights and if it weren't so late, I would have left that night. Air conditioner loud all night - hot in room and windows didn't open. Not enough electrical plugs for phone and ipad. Had to walk 1/4 a mile to get some ice in the lobby. I had another reservation later in the trip at the same chain - I cancelled. Breakfast not bad, but when all you are really doing is sleeping and bathing, nobody wants to be poked all night in bed by mattress springs. Not even good for 1 night - they should refund me my money.
The room itself was fine for the one night we stayed there. Since the facilities seem to be older, our room had a strong musty smell, which didn't go even as we opened the window. On the plus side, the staff was very nice and personable.
Cleanish, small room. Requested non smoking room, but definitely had smokers in it at one point. Great location. What you would expect for the price. Has outdoor pool that we did not use. Stayed here for 2 nights. Close to hi way but pretty quiet.
This Canada's Best Value Inn in Charlottetown is an older style inn, (i.e. looks like a Motel 6 single floor layout. However, we LOVED it! The room was clean and the A/C works great, and due to the layout there is an open feel to the inn. We especially like the full breakfast. Inn has an outdoor, heated pool. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The price was excellent Highly recommend. Great location, near Walmart.
The hotel was okay, however the second building was in dire need of updating. Attention to details in the presentation department were.lacking. The spider webs need to be removed daily from the entrance of the doorways. As well as the ones present on the walls (it looked dried and dead for an extended period). The bathroom needed some updating the taps were vey outdated and the water was very inconsistent. It was warm, them ice cold and then hot. As long as you are aware, you can adjust for it. Otherwise in a pinch it's ok. Would my daughter and I stay again? In a pinch, but not by choice at this location.
I'm very happy wife smokes ,we had a smoking room for 7 days (26 of July-Aug2)...Great breakfast every morning (some people take extras for there lunch on the road) bacon, eggs, toast, bagels(assorted jams&cream cheese)coffee, orange juice ..sometimes muffins. always have.dry cereals, tea, hot choclate....Has a outdoor pool....some people complain because they expect it to be a 5 star hotel ..It very good value the price ,compare with some hotels that cost $475 per night just down the road from our hotel...Most people just need a place to sleep as most of the day you are driving to sitesee on this small island where everything is about 1-3 drive away ..a one hour drive to Anne of Green Gables House or Cavendish beaches ,Lobster Dinners
This is the only time I have ever checked into a hotel and then requested a refund and left the same night. Our room was dated and run down, but that would have been ok given the price. However there was a disgusting odour in the room and upon looking at the air conditioner we saw that it was full of mold. We immediately looked for somewhere else to stay and left right away. I was also very disappointed that they were unable to accommodate my request to stay through for the two nights I booked back to back but separately (we changed our plans after the initial booking). I was told we would have to check out take all our belongings then check back in later in the day. We ended up staying in North Rustico about half an hour away for significantly less and had a great stay.
