Hotel is mid-size, on a piece of land that is adjacent to a creek that is accessible by walking outside. Daily breakfast provisions are plentiful, from waffles to yogurt. Staff is great - personable without being fake. It was a great bargain and was a pleasant stay.

Our second stay at this lovely hotel. Breakfast was nice with several options including hot eggs & meat each morning. Our only negative is that the bedding is thin and not warm enough in the cold months. We stayed for 3 nights in late November. We had to ask twice for extra blankets, even with 2 extra blankets on the bed we were still not cozy. We like to sleep in a cooler room, so raising the room temperature was not a good solution.

Very nice staff-I signed in with my 6 yr old grandson who inquired if they had a pool and when they said no he was disappointed-but the front desk clerk said some customers complained on the site there was information leading them to believe there was a pool. In any case she called the manager and we were upgraded to a beautiful suite which was more than roomy enough for the 4 of us with a nice microwave, refrigerator, Jacuzzi bathtub which the kids had a nice bubble bath in. Two free beers or glasses of wine with the hotel room was a nice touch.

I have stayed here many times, usually have loved the great service and intimacy of the place, but this time was disappointing. We were checked in to rooms at opposite ends of the hotel (annoying) we arrived well after the 3pm check in time, and BOTH of us arrived to our rooms to find they hadn't yet been cleaned. Which the desk didn't seem to know. When we finally got into room, it wasn't very well cleaned (long black hair inside one of the towels, ew) The window was open (ground floor room) and it was very difficult to get it to close and lock. IT was a two night stay, and we had to get the room keys re-activated twice. Annoying. And, the water tastes TERRIBLE> THey have a sign in the lobby about it, this is not a new problem for this hotel, so why don't they provide bottled water. Awful to wake up in the night, thirsty, and have no option except to trot down to a vending machine and pay $2 for water. Annoying.

Better than staying at hotel on busy Route 9. Small, nice hotel with nice architectural features. Perfect for visiting relatives in that area. Rates were very reasonable , I could not see the falls from the hotel facility, despite its namesake, but it sure is nice having Wappingers Creek outside my room window and the lobby which has complimentary breakfast set up with huge variety of breakfast foods. Terrance checked us in and he was pleasant. Unfortunately cob webs were missed by the maids above the curtains in my room. There was little space remaining in our room (with two queen beds) for movement when getting our family ready in the morning. I'll get a bigger room next time if available. Additionally, the pillows were very thick. I woke up at 3 AM with a sore neck . I couldn't get back to sleep, making the next day difficult. What's up with the super fat pillows? Otherwise pleased with my visit and will book again here when in the area overnight!!-- I'll just remember my own pillow.

Everything was well but not as good as my previous stay. There was a very loud party in the next room and had to call front desk for noise complaint. It was very late around 1 am and they still did not stop after it was addressed. Overall I like the hotel and all amenities, they have an awesome continental breakfast. I just hope next time they take charge and don' t let bad customers disrupt other guests.

The hotel looked great upon arrival. The check-in staff was not friendly and was more interested in chatting with each other than providing customer service to their arriving guests. We had a room that was not in the main wing and it was dark and dingy. Also, the room was not very clean. There was soap left in the shower, the toilet didn't look like it had been cleaned and hair and random paper were on the floor. At breakfast there was no attending staff member to replenish the food, clean tables, etc. another guest had to request a refill for the coffee pots, cups, etc. A staff member arrived to take care of it, but disappeared soon after. Not impressed with this facility.

It was ok - not great. Would not stay here again. The room was dark and cold.

The room was dirty, and sone of the staff were very rude. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was decent and staff were accommodating when we asked for a room with a view. The coffee making machine was missing from our room but the maid brought one quickly and politely. Mattresses were very good, and plenty of good pillows. What was a bit disappointing about this hotel was the a sort of tired decor. The bathroom was clean but with old towels and cheap toiletries, with the washbasin situated outside the shower and toilet area. Also, the bar and breakfast area could have done with a face lift. Middle of the road facilities at a rather hefty price, in my opinion

I stayed here with two of my friends for an alumni weekend and the college we graduated from. The distance from the college wasn't optimal, but it was much better than some of the other choices. The rooms were spacious and clean, but there definitely wasn't much to do in the area. Staff was lovely.

Very nice hotel in good area of Poughkeepsie. Exceptional extras such as the manager's happy hour and a great breakfast. Nice view of the Falls and the river.

It'a a bit hard to find, but once you do, you'll be glad you did.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Best Western. The staff was wonderful in answer all our questions about the area.

A little off the beaten path from the culinary institute where I was visiting but well worth the extra few miles. I really enjoyed staying here the staff was really friendly and the room was super clean and comfortable. It's about 40 min drive to Rhinebeck where there is a cute little town and lots of great restaurants and bars but again we really didn't mind the ride I'm pretty sure this is the nicest hotel in the Hudson valley area for the price. I would go back.

Exceptionally nice room for this price. Nice little breakfast area with good views. All of the windows made it quite chilly as it was bitter cold outside. One of the best motels we have found at this price.

Great...will use it again...The staff has always been helpful. The parking is handy and provides security for property and the Inn customers. A quiet restful place to stop after a busy day.

I did not have any experience at this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. my only real observation was that the desk clerks were not friendly. They were matter of fact, did not smile, it was business and that was it.

It has really nice decor with a refrigerator which was a surprise. My daughter and I were really comfortable in the room. The staff was really friendly and seemed very happy in their job.

Clean and nicely kept. Beds were comfortable. Room was modern. Some rooms have view of small river.
