There was white paint on the shower curtain, gluing half of it together. Do I need to say more ? Plenty of mosquito bites to go around, too. Bathroom door did not close and wasn't sure the room lock actually worked. The floor was dirty and the curtains were half off the rode. Stain on sheets... I mean, I could go on...
Besides the place needing a serious update it was charming for a cheaper hotel. Nice property with trees. Saw wildlife like squirrels and turkies. The front desk lady was very nice. Small room. Clean buy smelled of mold.
Came into town last min for a cycling event. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and had plenty of room and large bathroom area. Does not have pool or any of the high end and updated amenities. Overall great experience and will be booking there again when I come to town.
Room was clean. Service was friendly. If you're expecting modern amenities with a pool and fitness gym, this is not the place for you, but if your expectations are a hot shower with clean sheets and a comfortable bed for a great price then I would completely recommend it.
Here we had a microwave, coffee making facilities and a refrigerator, all of which were missing from other NY hotel rooms. There was an adequate wardrobe, good bathroom and remarkable peace and quiet considering we faced the main road.
The Atlas Motor Lodge is nicely set off from route 9W in Highland, with a large amount of property, so it feels somewhat secluded. The owners are very kind and accommodating, and the room I stayed in was very clean, and with a very high-quality bed. As the owners are from India, it reminded me a lot of my travels there, and that was a very pleasant reminder. I found a sense of relaxation and friendliness and welcome there that set it far above other chain motels I have stayed at in the area. Highly recommend for a very comfortable night's sleep, or longer.
They do have comfortable beds, and the property is kind of nice, and they keep it clean and I've never gotten bed bugs here, but the problem is with the people who stay here. A lot of troubled people with drug and mental illness. The bathrooms are way below average, and very small, showers are 30x30, with low flow shower heads. Guys, your not going to like the commode, too small if you know what I mean.
After long train journey from Buffalo me and my friend took a taxi from the train station. we stayed 2 nights and and got very good service anything we asked about were to go how to get there they had all the info, nice people that run this place. Breakfast places and restaurants stone throw away perfect for us our agenda was visiting Poughkeepsie by crossing the The Walkway over the Hudson and then back crossing The Music Bridge perfect day we had. The autumn colours were starting and as we came close to the Atlas Loge on the same road was a Italian restaurant perfect spot for hungry walkers like us we rolled stuffed and happy to our home way from home and continue our train journey to New york the day after. Our room was big and comfortable and clean our travel took us visiting from Iceland to Toronto-Niagara falls-Buffalo-Poughkeepse-New York. The Atlas Loges was the perfect location for us We did visit on the 4th okt 2016
Stayed here for one night to go to a concert across the river in Poughkeepsie. It wasn't easy to get into the town or find a reasonably priced taxi and the hotel manager was extremely helpful. She called a few taxi services for me to find the best one, then made sure they were on their way. The next day she gave good advice on where to go for breakfast and then got her son to drive me to the train station. The hotel itself was fine, the room big and clean. Maybe not the best location for what I was doing but very nice area, looks good for going walks etc and it's very close to the Hudson River Walkway which is really cool.
Old hotel, need much TLC. Nice staff but not very attentive. Noisy. 4 AM some truck noise outside. Phone didn't work. Funky space. 3 pillows on a bed for 2? Whats that all about. Crappy nights sleep. Had no choice but to stay, last place available in town. Sorry, but it needs improvements.
