We truly enjoyed our hotel stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Poughkeepsie. It was conveniently located on Route 9 not far from Main St. and downtown Poughkeepsie. The personnel were accommodating and very nice. The breakfast was awesome! They served a variety of foods and there was plenty of it! Great place to stay! I highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express. Thank you : )

We weren't there long but it was fine. Convenient to the train station for a day trip to NYC and convenient to area colleges. Good hours for breakfast.

Hotel very conveniently located to visit FDR and ValKill. Nice pool. I love the labelled pillows, firm and soft. Brief visit but comfortable

We come up every year to Culinary to celebrate our anniversary. We know the area well. . .we choose to stay here! Lovely staff, clean room, convenient breakast includes lots more than bagels! Hot options, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea & lots more. . .our go to spot!

Convenient. A little expensive for location. Okay just for sleeping.

The room is stink like an old hotel The AC is Super Loud like sleeping beside a Tractor The Carpeting is dirty the bath room to small and no fan so it was too humid Not happy. The price to high for that kind of hotel

The location got us to and from the CIA with ease. We had a king with sleep sofa and it worked well for us. The room smelled a little musty upon entering but was clean. Nice little touch was the Bath and Body Works supplies. All staff were very nice. The breakfast was wonderful. It worked well for us for 2 night stay.

Good experience overall. It is an older property but was clean and staff were very helpful. Had a slow draining tub that was cleared by the time we came back to our room. 10 miles from historical homes and Culinary Institute of America so good location. I would recommend to a friend with the reservation that it is not a newer property and is a good base from which to sightsee.

So clean , very quiet, convenient, bed was super comfy and they had FRESH BAKED Chocolate CHIP COOKIES at check in YUMMY!!!!!!

Met our requirements.,Good breakfast. and centrally located.

My stay at Holiday Inn Express at Poughkeepsie was excellent. The room had plenty of space, and was very clean. The hotel itself is very clean, and staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is by far the best complimentary hotel breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, varieties of yogurt, fruit and baked goods. Even had sausage gravy with biscuits. I pass by the area often, and will definitely be staying here every chance I get. Highly recommended.

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of parking. I would definitely stay here again!

Good location for Poughkeepsie and Hyde Park activities. There is only one elevator, used by hotel guests and staff, including housekeeping, maintenance, etc. This made for lengthy wait times due to housekeeping staff carts. All breakfast tableware is styrofoam, real coffee cups would have been nice.

Convient, clean, accommodating. Polite employees, good breakfast. Great last-minute accommodations for college Graduation.

We stayed here while touring colleges and this was a good value. Beds were especially comfortable. Within driving distance of good ethnic food restaurants at budget-friendly prices (we had great Thai/Sushi and saw some other appealing places) and would recommend this for visiting colleges in area. We drove to Bard next day and it was less than half hour.

This is a nice place. It is close Hyde Park and Poughkeepsi. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable. The free breakfast is a very nice addition.

Was a very good location and price. It was great to get to my family's house from there. People at hotel very nice.

Indoor pool would have been nice, or at least a whirlpool.

When I booked room it was 1 king bed and sofabed and was non-smoking. My son and I arrived at hotel, dropped off bags then headed to New Paltz for Regional game with our school. On way home thinking of how tired I was...had been thinking and realized, we didn't get a king bed. When getting back to hotel I made them aware of this. In the end cost was cheaper than the two full size beds so we stayed. I just didn't appreciate woman at desk being quick to say (Before I even advised of situation) that I prepaid so there's nothing they could do. To me, that's even more reason why if I wasn't happy they should have made correction. I booked something at certain price and wasn't given it. Anyhow..the only other thing I would say was a problem was the shower curtain is fabric, no plastic liner inside so when you take a shower the floor floods (not good). Other than that..it's the best hotel in the area: clean, quiet with all ammenities needed. The stay was pleasant one. Thank you.

The hotel was very clean and well kept. I stayed in this hotel so I wouldn't have to drive after a part I went to in the area. I didn't spend much time in the room as I checked in late and came back to the room late. The refrigerator in the room is quite large and works very well. The bathroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It doesn't have the farm of other hotels I have stayed in but it wasn't used for a vaction more of a convenience factor. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone on buisness or looking for a convenient night stay.
