We liked the Villa look and it was spread out. We had a basic room with king bed and it was comfortable. The club/bar/lounge is fun at night for drinks dancing and pool/ping pong. Food options were good. What I didn't like was we called the front desk twice and made a trip to the front desk and we still could not a few bottles of water. I ended up going to the bar for bottled water. Our room attendant Jonathan came through the next morning with 5 bottles. Jonathan was great. We always tip for good service. Waiters around the pool were sparse at 11am. After I gave them a tip they came by on a regular basis. I believe in tipping for great service. I would come back to Secrets but I've been to other Cancun resorts and had better service and food.

Got back to the states and still 5 days after leaving having symptoms from bacteria we got while there. We did enjoy the beach. A lot like Maroma. We wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Got treated like King and Queen. Every worker was very friendly. Place was very clean.Never made a bad meal. Best part was they have plenty outside chairs. Never had to get up early to save a spot.

Sometimes the staff seemed condescending. Dress codes were not strictly enforced at every restaurant except for one, which we were turned away from. Other couples had no trouble not abiding by the dress code and got in, while we were turned away. We went the next night when my husband had a change of clothes, but the principal of the matter still bothers me. Everyone was nice enough, but a couple of the entertainment people were snobby. Not very genuine. As first-timers, we didn’t realize we needed to tip everyone. We constantly were switching our bills for more $1 bills for the trip. No big deal, but it gave us anxiety to constantly have to tip when we were in the pool or ocean and didn’t have the money on us at that time. Really wonderful stay and resort besides some small issues. We loved the lagoon tour and water sports.

Not a large as some of the other Secrets properties I have visited, but still a great getaway.

Friendly staff, food was decent to great, evening entertainment was sparse, smaller resort but wasn’t too crowded at spring break, some nickel and diming to upcharge dinners or room, loved their commitment to conservation and did a display for autism awareness on April 2nd.

Rooms are close to the beach although the rooms were a bit noisy. You could hear the people on either side of you. The food is just ok could be a little better quality. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Made you feel welcome Food was good but sometimes we were disappointed. All resorts had issues with seaweed but worked tirelessly to keep the beaches clean. Facilty is older but meticulously maintained and clean.
