The air conditioning was broken. It was 85 degrees in our room even though the patio doors were open and we were on close proximity to the beach. The hot water was not constant and would come and go while trying to take a shower. The room location was confusing and we actually tried to use our key on a similar numbered room but on the wrong side of the hotel. It was difficult to try and rest because it was so hot in the room.

Been to Singular a few times. This experience was horrible. Room with a great view but no hot water, water shut off, AC noise Plus the roof top Hot Tub was not working. Still a beautiful building but better service is needed. Staff try but there is so much they can do if things are not working properly.

Our ocean view was amazing on the 5 floor with a big balcony. Room was great for 3 people - bare minimum in the kitchen. Very close to a beautiful beach and the 5 - restaurant and grocery store near - walking distance But unfortunately we had 3 days without air conditioning and about 5-6 hours without water

Love it here. We have stayed many times over the past years. We had an ac unit go out for days and a water leak but the manager Melissa refunded us and made it good for us. We will book with her again. Make sure to stay at “beach residences” and not “Dream vacations” at singulair. Same building but very different management

3 days without Air Conditioning and 2 days without water. 30 degrees in the room and not having running water to shower or use the bathroom was not the ideal stay. As we contacted hotels to assist with a refund so we could move hotels for the remaining days of our stay,. The manager at Singular would not answer calls or emails with hotels.ca so we were unable to be refunded and move to another hotel. Our Christmas trip was a disaster and very stressful. I will never go back to singular. The city has cut off their water supply and now they get water trucked in.

The location is very good. Close to quinta avenida, close to 10th ave and laundry and groceries and close to the public beach with an excellent dive shop right there in Xico Dive Centre. The staff are not rude but they don't seem to care too much about concerns of clients. I booked a condo with 2 rooms and they gave use two single room condos. Since we were with adults this was fine but made logistics like coordinating meals and outings a hassel and we were in the two separate wings of the hotel with was super annoying and made things even more inconvenient. Additionally my shower was cold 6/7 days we stayed there and they were told every single day and maintenance was only in once that whole time. The rooms are spacious but could be cleaner (not unhygenic, just shabby) and the amenities are lacking (toiletries, towels, kitchen towels, kitchen utensils, kettle, iron or clothes steamer). The couch is uncomfortable and bed was a bit firmer than I prefer. The hair dryer in the bathroom was also not working. I asked for a partial refund due to the hassel and they declined to provide one. Overall, not a terrible stay but not a great one either. I would check out somewhere else if I went back to Playa del Carmen.
The pool is excellent but again, a bit shabby. Not terrible but like 85%/100%
