This is a large property and wasn't at capacity so there was always a chair to be had by the pool. It was a little tougher at the beach, however. Large rooms, not many with a view of anything but the surrounding trees but that didn't bother us. Some restaurants were great (Japanese & steakhouse), some were good (American grill, buffet) and some were to be avoided (Mexican, Italian). There isn't anything nearby the resort and their "shopping mail" is still closed due to COVID, so if you want to shop be prepared to spend at least $50 roundtrip for a taxi.

Paraiso Maya was awesome! VERY clean, very much appreciated steps taken during pandemic. Amazing location, close to beach, food was great (Japanese was our fav), service was excellent. Excursions were safe, not busy. Only negative would be lack of amenities due to virus (no hot tubs, shopping center closed) which is not the fault of resort. So all in all VERY pleased - 5 Stars!!!!

Staff was very good, very concerned. Deep Tissue Massage was great. Our children like the free sailing. The place is very large and spread out. Sometimes we got lost. We had to take bellboy driven golf carts most of the time. It was very busy so it was not always possible to get reservations at the "better restaurants". Japanese was quite good. Italian was good. Steak house was mediocre. Mexican was so-so. Breakfast and Lunch was buffet and generally superior.

The staff was amazing!! The food at buffets was pretty good. Just not hot enough. Property was beautiful

Food was good. Did not care to eat already heated hot dogs. Buns and meat seemed have been under heat lamp too long.

They have a gourmet restaurant that the. Waitresses don't know anything about it and they really mess our 60th birthday celebration that we were having on tjis trip it was very disappointing it was in Saturday night 9/7/19 we left the next day

We were really please with this property and I would give them a 10 if they wouldn't mess up our last night dinner at the Gourmet restaurant the waitresses were not attentive they were rude and mean the food was good but they forgot to serve 2 if our guests and they didn't give them anything untill one hour later they went and grad some shrimp and just trough it on the plate...we had to wait for the dessert a very long time any ways it was a terrible service

Wonderful family resort. Nice variety of theme restaurants for dinner and the food was excellent. Plenty to do between the daily activities organized by the hotel, the pools, wave pool, and children’s water park. Evening shows at the theater were very entertaining. The shopping plaza was just enough to make you feel like you left the resort, without actually leaving the hotel property. Every interaction with a staff member was positive- everyone is pleasant and accommodating. Room was spacious and daily housekeeping kept it sparkling clean. Will definitely be back at this resort.

Everything is amazing we love the place and we are going back soon again

It is always a pleasure to read that in your recent stay. It is such a delight to read that you enjoyed our top-notch gastronomy, especially our culinary jewel “La Geisha” Japanese restaurant. Best regards,
