My stay was OK. The breakfast was nothing to be desired. You had asked for the milk for the cereal. Only offered you five items for breakfast. And three beverages
I was looking for an inexpensive hotel close to the airport for one night. I was pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem. Very pleasant, friendly owners/managers, nice little outdoor pool/hot tub (not a lot of seating), very nice room. I left before breakfast was served. If you're looking for a conveniently located hotel (15 minutes from airport/right off the highway), I recommend this one.
this motel was very reasonably priced and altho its a bit hard to find the first time, its really not hard. the owners are very polite and very accomodating. there is a washer and dryer right there for guests usage. the pool is small but nice. the hot tub wasnt working but it was still warmer than the pool and on the hot day, they both felt good.
Rooms had missing light bulbs Only by sink & inside bathroom had working bulbs AC knob missing, in a 2 bed room only received 1 face & bath towel , staff disrespectful to my friends that also stayed that weekend, if you have low expectations this is the place for you, I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.
Everything was ok. The only issue I had was in the restroom, it smelled like cigarette smoke. Not sure if the downstairs room was smoking or not. Since we were just staying there for a short time we sprayed perfume and was ok.
My business travels have me staying in hotels all over AZ, NM, and TX every month. I'd been able to find a decent hotel in most towns/cities I visit within the first couple of tries, but this area of Phoenix (near Tolleson) had eluded me for months. Some of my worst reviews are of hotels in this area. With this particular Travelodge, I've finally found a decent place to stay near Tolleson. While the geographic location isn't perfect, it also isn't frightening. There are grocery stores and restaurants within a couple of minutes (without having to fight traffic on I-10) many delivery food options nearby, and convenience stores within walking distance. It is also pretty quiet, being surrounded by other hotels. The room was surprisingly clean -far better than I have come to expect from 2-star hotel chains. Everything in the room worked -fridge, microwave, hair dryer, alarm clock, TV, etc. The shower had decent water pressure. There weren't any dubious-looking stains on the carpet, sheets, or comforter. Really, there's nothing bad I can say about the room. I'll definitely stay here again next month when business brings me back through. A couple of notes to add: 1) I am basing my 5-star rating on how well this hotel lived up to its national 2-star rating. As a 2-star hotel, this one definitely exceeded all expectations (there may be bits of wallpaper that are starting to separate, small bits of missing caulking, or other minor cosmetics which aren't perfect, but don't affect the room enough to subtract stars). If you are used to four or five star hotels, you WILL find faults which must be overlooked to stay in these budget hotels. 2) This particular area of Phoenix is HEAVY with commercial truck traffic (18 wheelers). While the noise isn't near enough to bother you at this location, it can be difficult to get back on the freeway -especially so between 5 and 9 am. In my experience, if you are traveling west on I-10 at that time of morning, you'll be just fine to make the right turn onto the freeway. If, however, you plan to travel east in the morning, and find a wall of commercial trucks already waiting to make the left turn from 51st ave. onto I-10, it saves time to cross the interstate, make a U-turn (or take a quick left into the lot of one of the businesses south of I-10 on 51st) and then go back north to get on the freeway with a right turn. The line of trucks trying to turn left on the freeway here can be ten or twelve trucks and they may only make 2 or 3 per light. Driving past and turning around saves some serious time.
This was the perfect place to stay while seeing a concert in Phoenix last night (3/29). It was a 20 minute drive to The Talking Stick Resort Arena. The owner/manager was very friendly at check-in and check-out. The rooms are very clean and spacious and the a/c works VERY WELL. We stayed in room 225, which was nice because you don't have the western sun beaming in to your room and heating it up. Also, the shower is nice and hot and stays hot, and warms up immediately! We didn't partake of the breakfast because we slept in. This was not worth $85. It should've been about $60 max - but it was the least expensive motel in the area - maybe because of the concert? Oh well, it was nice to just go back to the motel and not have to drive home 2 hours at midnight.
The room was very clean and the beds were excellent but the a/c didn't work and so we were rather warm but so tired we just tried to sleep. The staff was excellent also and we were so grateful to get the last room that night.
This facility met our needs for a 1-night stay before departing the area. Breakfast was ample with cereal, etc.
The travelodge was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. No problems with our stay. The price was affordable and the area felt safe. Easy access to the interstate. Food options and grocery stores nearby. Good place to stay. Would return.
