Springhill Suites By Marriott Phoenix Downtown

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Very nice but basic hotel near to Chase Field baseball park and Phoenix Children's Museum. Also near to Univ. of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix. All rooms are mini suites with little sitting area, little kitchen and bedroom. Bathrooms really need to be bigger. Free but basic breakfast in the mornings but very crowded as space is limited.

Usually stay in the heart of downtown for conferences. Hotel rates had skyrocketed so looked into Springhill suites which is only about 2 blocks from the Phoenix Convention Center. Great prices, nice staff, fantastic breakfast included and free parking. Room was very clean. VERY happy with this choice and would recommend it to anyone!

My father had heart surgery a week before, they let us check in 2 hours early so he could rest. We had drove 3 hours for his follow up appt. The whole staff was very friendly & I would definitely stay there again!

The hotel was in walking distance to many shops and places to eat. Clean and staff was very friendly

The hotel is awesome! I have stayed here numerous times and each time, the staff is friendly, accommodating and downright fantastic! I love being able to take the shuttle to the ball park, walking to and from the ball park if I choose to, and really like the location of the hotel

The room was clean and nicely appointed. Staff were polite. Location was very convenient. We loved it.

The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was very good (lots of variety). The staff was welcoming and it was in walking distance to downtown.

The hotel was very conveniently located. I could easily walk downtown. They had breakfast which was good.

This is a very nice hotel - excellently situated and with very friendly staff. I recommend it to anyone - especially someone who, like me, has to stay in downtown Phoenix just about every week.

Good staff, well situated. I recommend it. What more can I say? I guess the carpets could be cleaner - I think my room had blood stains. There - is that long enough?

This hotel is located only blocks from downtown. The rooms are spacious with a kitchenette and pull out couch. The lobby looks retro and newly renovated. There is no place to order food but they have a snack place which costs an arm and leg. The pool is outside so probably too hot to swim in during the summer but we didn't try. The staff is super friendly. The hotel is clean. It is the best price for near downtown. we will definitely stay again and I recommend it!

As a regular business traveler, I appreciate a clean, well situated room without hidden charges for internet or parking etc. The staff here are not too stuffy and always ready to help with any problem. I recommend this hotel.

I was in Phoenix for work and was able to easily walk to and from the convention center daily as well as to restaurants for dinner. The staff was very friendly, and my room was more than enough for one person. The breakfast exceeded most hotel continental breakfasts, so I even chose it over what was provided at the conference most mornings. I don't have any complaints.

The room was very spacious. Had a kitchenette and two TVs, one in the sitting area (where there was a very big couch) and a slightly smaller one over by the beds. Some aspects could have been a little better maintained (very frayed edge on the bedspread, slightly stained tub) but the room was clean. Didn't use the heated pool or jacuzzi, but its a nice touch. Staff knowledgable about the local area and provided us with a walking map. Free shuttle from the airport is helpful, but be aware that you have to call to request them to pick you up after you land. Great hotel for the price and star level.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were large. I felt totally safe in the neighborhood (but not everyone did - I accompanied back a woman on foot from our meeting downtown around midnight who had minor safety concerns). There were two TV flat screens in the room, a couch, a desk, a fridge and kitchen equipment. A few things were a bit run down (the elevators are slow and make scary sounds, the building seems a bit old, and the automatic doors don't always work and the card keys took several tries at times). The free breakfast included was running out of things fairly quickly but would be restocked. It was mediocre quality, but the price was right at free! Free parking, free internet, free breakfast. This isn't a five star place, but does give very good value for the price. I'd stay there again.

The whole staff was trained with a strong customer focus and executed very well! Great breakfast buffet! The shuttle was free & available to the the airport and town. Internet was a little slow. Overall -- super - though

Having stayed at other SpringHill Suites, I selected this one located a block from the DBacks stadium. It was a fantastic stay. Even though the ballpark is a block away, the hotel staff were able to re-route the airport shuttle to drop us off and pick us up at the stadium. My 85 year-old In-laws really appreciated that extra service. The beds are super comfortable and the free full breakfast was great (eggs, waffles, cereal, etc). No having to find a restaurant for breakfast or having to pay for it! I highly recommend this hotel and we'll be staying here again for sure. Free parking too!

The staff was very friendly and answered questions on where to go. Breakfast was okay but for the price it did the job.

I was attending a conference and did not spend much time at the hotel. My room (it's an all-suite hotel) was very comfortable, with lots of room to relax when I was there. Free wi-fi throughout the hotel, and a free breakfast are both great amenities. The breakfast had a good variety of choices, but the quality of the food was pretty average. The staff seemed pleasant and helpful.

Really clean, great sitting area w/mini fridge/small kitchenette, good breakfast buffet, within close walking distance to downtown, and super-nice staff. Would 100% stay here again.
