Helpful staffs from the beginning. However the hotel condition was not as expected. There was a bug crawling on the bed (I hope it was not a bed bug), I immediately brought it up to front desk then the front desk lady was very nice and gave a key to a different room. Moved to the 2nd room, I have to say the room/hotel probably had seen better days. Stain on the wall, peeling paint, no shower curtain for tub so after you shower, bathroom tiles get pretty wet. Water pressure was really weak, and shower head was leaking. I had reported and front desk fixed it after, then the water pressure got better. I could not wait to check out from day one. Oh, the next morning around 8am after checked in, i heard lots of banging noise, apparently the room across from me was under construction and nobody notified me prior. Sigh....was not a good experience at all. Positive notes, they did store my luggage and they also have a lobby area for you to rest after check out. Location is pretty good, lots of good restaurants around and near to train station. Close to Lourve museum and shopping areas.

Location and staff is what makes this hotel a great place to stay.

Large room, very central location with most things in walking distance.

Hotel is old and badly maintained. The workers were helpful.

This is a decent hotel with a great location. Since we were in Paris during the heat wave, a/c would have been nice, but at least they included very nice fans, which we used constantly. Our room did have a problem with ants.

It is a great location for all the attractions for first time visitors, but the hotel is old, no air condition.

This hotel was comfortable and in close proximity to everything. The staff was helpful. Overall the rooms are in desperate need of repair and upgrading. The WiFi is in and out in the rooms, but great in the lobby. I definitely would recommend this hotel to those traveling on a budget and in need of close proximity to train, bus, shopping, and overall decent restaurants.

No fancy amenities, but decent breakfast, large rooms (a little run-down but no complaints), and an unbeatable location for an affordable rate.

The bathroom do not have curtain. This is an old building , with no maintenance

Room is nice & clean, has a minibar fridge, staff don't know English very well but it's a killer location for the price.

This hotel is definitely outdated, but you will have everything you need. The room was very spacious for European standards, you have many shops and restaurants just steps away, and you are just a short walk away from Louvre and amazing gardens! If you aren't planning to spend most of your time in the room while in Paris, then this is the right choice. The staff was very accommodating and thoughtful. My friend and I were comfortable and happy with this choice.

Couldn't ask for a better hotel and location for the price we paid. One block from the Louvre and Tuileries and lots of great restaurants nearby. Our room and the hotel overall was a little worn (peeling wallpaper, carpet, etc.) but so what. The room was large, clean and comfortable. It has the feel of a classic Paris hotel. The buffet breakfast (12 euro) was decent and a great bargain compared to eating at a cafe. Small fridge in the room if you want to buy food at one of the nearby markets. There is a small hotel bar that doesn't seem to get much business. I think we saw people in there one night during our week long stay. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our week at Normandy Hotel and would stay there again.

Very convenient location. The hotel is older, but that is what you expect when travelling to Paris. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Not too many frills, but the location could not have been better.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Normandy. Great location, excellent staff, big room. The beds were very comfortable, the view was nice and had all the amenities that we required. The only thing that I could say bad is that I wish that the bathroom was cleaner. The grout needed a good scrubbing and dust had built up on some of the flat surfaces. I will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is in a perfect location for pretty much anything a tourist would want to do and/or see. It's a two minute walk to the metro and there is a great Italian restaurant right across the street. We stayed on the 5th floor and opened up the windows/doors to the balcony where we had wine and watch the traffic go by. While it is a little dated, the Normandy has a certain charm about it. If you are one of those people who needs to sleep in a 5-start hotel, this is not your place. But for those of us who really spend very little time in the room it works out well and is comfortable. We really had no complaints and were there for a week.

My wife and I spent four days at the Normandy. The previous reviews were spot on..... really nice staff, dated furnishings. Overall the experience was fine. The location is really hard to beat. I would stay there again, but I hope that they upgrade the rooms in the future.

The hotel is an older, smaller building, but it is in a fantastic location. The two hotel elevators are narrow, but this is to be expected in an older building. The furnishings are worn, and the rooms are small, however, it was all we needed for a place to shower and sleep during our trip. We visited Oct. 23-28 so the weather was becoming a bit colder. The room was comfortable and warm with the heater and there were adequate linens and blankets as well. Housekeeping kept the room clean, tidy and stocked with toiletries. There was also a mini fridge in our room. Our room was streetside with a balcony and we could hear traffic at night and the occasionaly group of people walking by, but not too late and nothing that kept us awake. We felt quite comfortable and safe during our stay, and the staff was helpful, polite and friendly. We went down to the breakfast buffet three times, and it was adquate for our needs. There was not a lot of variety, but you could make a meal of the fruit, yougurt, breads/toast, pastries and eggs. There was a variety of hot beverages and orange and grapefruit juice. This cost 12 euros, but if you're running late or don't feel like going out for breakfast, it was convenient. They can help arrange a shuttle to the airport for 18 euros/person as well.
