I think that if you want to see Patis in all it's beauty location is most important! This hotel has very good location! Close to subways and just 10 minutes walking from Opera, Concord, Touliers... Hotel itself is small but very nice. It's clean and well maintained. If you don't want to spend too much for Parisian luxury hotels this might be your choice!
Was booked into a superior room which at the time of booking was cheapest and most convenient I could find. Not normally the type of hotel I would go for (it is off the beaten track, and small, and in old mason like building) but I would say it is a good find. Initial view is that it is very small for the price. Taking a closer look though all decor is very well appointed, fresh and up to date. They have made good use of the restrictions imposed by such a building, and after all, as long as you have a comfortable and clean place to crash after a day out that is all that is necessary. Good quality and good size tv, air conditioning, Nespresso machine, drinks in fridge, and an in room safe. The recent overhaul (2015 according to the description) was well done with care. Surrounding neighbourhood is peaceful yet not far away to buzzing areas, with a good choice of metro lines to get you easily around Paris. On reflection the price paid at £147 per night is more expensive than I'm used to, but it is central of a major European city and I think compares favourably as such. Of special note: lift is very small but I think just about can handle a wheelchair user, and it's even amazing that a lift can be found here. For others, patience is they key if you have big luggage!! Also, if you like your tea and coffee like the Englishman I am, bring your own and also buy some milk as they are a bit stingy on this! (Well I think a superior room deserves a bit more surely - lol) I recommend this hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at Madeleine Hausmann. The hotel is nicely styled, balanced mix of modern and cosy. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is simple but good, for a kickstart of the day. We will return here heen visiting Paris again.
Very nice location: near Place De La Madeleines and Boulevard Hausmann ( Galerie Lafayette and Printemps ). Staff is amazing and very helpful. Only one minus : very small room for breakfast... I hope that they can find another solution and increase the space for breakfast.
The rooms are clean and new the problem is that they are too small! Overall its good but dont take big bags with you! The location is great its like 40 minutes to the airport and its in the center of paris I think everything is great comparing to the price we paid which was 104 euros for the night
Location is ver near to Medeleine Church and also very close to bus, metro and train station. But the room space is very small, when our luggages are open, we have to find way to walk to bathroom. But still very nice hotel!
Barely 400 metres from the Opera Garnier and Galeries .there are many restaurants located in the area surrounding the hotel and opera. The nearest Metro is Richelieu-Drouot, 100 metres from the hotel. From here the Eiffel Tower is a direct Metro ride. The Moulin Rouge and the Montmartre district are a 20-minute walk from the hotel and The Louvre Museum is 1.4 km away.
Nice staff, nice location, definitely recommend! Only negative i would say that the elevator is small to use with luggages but otherwise everything is good. Staff helpful when needed. Just a walk from a metro stop.
I have the pleasure of staying at this hotel every few months and would not stay anywhere else. The staf are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The hotel is very clean, and the rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. I would definitley recomend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Paris.
I thought the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was decorated nicely and the bed was very comfortable. There was a Nespresso machine in the room which was great but I would have preferred to have more than one or two sachets to use. I did go to reception to request more which they very kindly provided. My room faced the back so it was very quiet. The bathroom was ensuite very clean and nicely decorated. The shower was wonderful. The entire hotel had been smartly decorated and furnishings and fittings are all new and modern. The area was central with two metro stations nearby and main shopping so perfect place to stay for shoppers The only thing that I would say about this location is that it felt more like a business area. It didn't have the local feeling that some other areas do, there were no local cafes around and restaurants that were nearby were pricey and not attractive to me. I though breakfast at the hotel was too pricey and I had to walk far to find anywhere that did breakfast but some restaurants and brasseries near Printemps department store did croissants. On Sunday in this area in particular many establishments were closed so it was even more difficult to find a place for breakfast. There is a new Pret A Manger opening a few streets away very soon so that will solve that problem perhaps. Excellent hotel and area central but empty and lacking.
