The location of this hotel makes getting around very easy. Great access to two metro stops, very easy walk to the Seine, sites of interest & nice restaurants near. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Very helpful when trying to "conquer the metro" on our own, they would always give me a better alternative. While the room is small (like all of Europe I believe) it was very clean with a nice sized shower. The breakfast offered each day was a nice mix of things, with very pleasant wait staff. Would definitely stay here again.
Public transport are easily accessible. Shopping area just by walking distance. You can get even rent a bike to cycle around the city if you like to adventure around. I join the day tour the pick up point is just a 5mins walk.
The hotel is good, pretty and comfortable. Rooms are small, but sufficient for short trip to Paris. Very close to all remarkable places in the center of town, and very quite small street. You can have a simple and good rest in this hotel, if you don’t need some five stars features.
We stayed here 10 years ago, then again last week for 3 nights. It has been updated since our first trip. Small, boutique hotel. Clean, friendly, great location in opera districe. Nice breakfast set-up (make sure it is included in your rate). Clean rooms, small but probably normal for France. Pretty reasonable price.
Small hotel, GREAT location, but the best part was the help of Thomas at the front desk. He guided us to shopping, and the most wonderful places to eat including Cafe de la Paix. Everything was within walking distance from here, wonderful shopping, the metro, and great food. If you are spending your time out and not in your room this is the place to be.
Location was great, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us with restaurant reservations and transportation. Clean and comfortable room and great bathroom, although small. We chose the "basic" room, and it was just fine for our needs. The only drawback was a bit of late season warm weather, as the hotel had already switched their system to "heat" for the fall and winter. Had to sleep with the windows open, which was noisy.
I think that if you want to see Patis in all it's beauty location is most important! This hotel has very good location! Close to subways and just 10 minutes walking from Opera, Concord, Touliers... Hotel itself is small but very nice. It's clean and well maintained. If you don't want to spend too much for Parisian luxury hotels this might be your choice!
Was booked into a superior room which at the time of booking was cheapest and most convenient I could find. Not normally the type of hotel I would go for (it is off the beaten track, and small, and in old mason like building) but I would say it is a good find. Initial view is that it is very small for the price. Taking a closer look though all decor is very well appointed, fresh and up to date. They have made good use of the restrictions imposed by such a building, and after all, as long as you have a comfortable and clean place to crash after a day out that is all that is necessary. Good quality and good size tv, air conditioning, Nespresso machine, drinks in fridge, and an in room safe. The recent overhaul (2015 according to the description) was well done with care. Surrounding neighbourhood is peaceful yet not far away to buzzing areas, with a good choice of metro lines to get you easily around Paris. On reflection the price paid at £147 per night is more expensive than I'm used to, but it is central of a major European city and I think compares favourably as such. Of special note: lift is very small but I think just about can handle a wheelchair user, and it's even amazing that a lift can be found here. For others, patience is they key if you have big luggage!! Also, if you like your tea and coffee like the Englishman I am, bring your own and also buy some milk as they are a bit stingy on this! (Well I think a superior room deserves a bit more surely - lol) I recommend this hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at Madeleine Hausmann. The hotel is nicely styled, balanced mix of modern and cosy. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is simple but good, for a kickstart of the day. We will return here heen visiting Paris again.
Very nice location: near Place De La Madeleines and Boulevard Hausmann ( Galerie Lafayette and Printemps ). Staff is amazing and very helpful. Only one minus : very small room for breakfast... I hope that they can find another solution and increase the space for breakfast.
