Stayed for 5 nights during july. Hotel super sweet and excellent location. Breakfast was amazing and all natural. Staff is very nice and friendly, and speak english well. Only bad thing was that the halway outside our room smelled funny (stayed on first floor), and the room wasnt so clean (a little stains on bed, floor, and bathtub). Would return 100%

The front desk guy is extremely funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. He set us up with various maps and helped navigate us to the spots we wanted to see. The hotel is very close to the metro and various cafes. The room was comfortable and cute. There were slippers anf bathrobes for our convenience. The hotel also has a small exercise room and a sauna. We were there just two days, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pay for the breakfast! You get eggs, sausage, assorted pastries/breads, coffee/tea/fresh squeezed juice, fruit, etc. It's worth the extra cost. I would stay here again.

Le Mareuil has been a highlight of my two Paris trips! My husband and I stayed here for a week in spring 2016 and during our honeymoon in June 2017. The staff is incredible and the location is superb! The first time we stayed on the 6th floor and had a small balcony. The second time, we were on a lower floor with giant windows opening onto a perfect, quiet street. The beds are supremely comfortable and the the ability to control the AC was great since we were there during a heat wave. Le Mareuil is in the perfect area and an easy walk to two metro stops. I love love love staying here and cannot wait for trip #3!

AC worked great, double twin was very comfortable, quiet room, shower was spacious, small refrigerator with mini bar and snacks, small table with 2 chairs, overall a great room. Staff was very helpful with recommendations and directions. Located near Republic square metro, bakery, restaurants, grocery store and wine store.

Shh! Don't tell anyone else about this perfect gem of a hotel. Let everyone else stay in way more expensive hotels in the high tourist areas of Paris. The 11th is one of the best secrets going - up-and-coming restaurant scene, easy access to all the typical places you'll go in Paris, and this hotel is set on a small side street so it's QUIET, very clean and the rooms are spacious by Paris standards. The crew is very friendly and helpful and everyone speaks English very well.

We enjoyed spending 3 nights here on a city break to Paris. We had a complimentary upgrade to a superior room which, although a modest size, was perfectly adequate for our needs. The bed was extremely comfortable and we liked the oversized bathroom. Although our room was next to the lift we had no noise disturbance throughout our stay. The hotel is well situated, a few minutes walk from Republique and Oberkampf metro stops, but in a quiet side street that has little traffic or other noise. The buffet breakfast was good and they have a cool lobby / dining area to enjoy. The steam room in the basement was worth a quick visit too. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and seemed very happy in their roles etc. Overall this was a good choice in Paris and I'd be happy to return here in future.

My wife and I booked this charming hotel last minute and feel we couldn't have found a better hotel in a great location. In Marais and super close to the Republique, which is very well connected to all other parts through the Metro, the location was perfect. The hotel itself, is modern and charming. The staff can't do enough to make your experience wonderful from the moment you step in. We highly recommend this hotel.

I can't say enough about how helpful the staff was here. Air France lost our luggage and they followed up multiple times with the airlines to make sure it was located before we had to move on. The staff provided helpful tips on navigating Paris and how to get a great deal on metro tickets. The room was very clean, but small as expected for a city like Paris. Side street location meant it was quiet despite a short walk to La Republique metro. I'd happily stay here again on a future visit.

We just did {2} three night stays at Hotel Le Mareuil. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the 11th [our 6th trip to Paris] and it felt removed from the usual tourist hubbub and more like an area where people lived more than other single digit arrondissments. We had 2 different rooms -- a standard and a superior. The room sizes were quite good for both with night stands on each side of bed, good size wardrobe, safe and the bathrooms both had stand up, glass enclosed showers that had rain fall shower heads. Neither had tub, just the shower. Towels and linens were high quality. The shower in standard room was a bit small but was nice. The shower in the superior was large & roomy and a lovely window [with good covering] next to the sink. Superior room was #14 and I believe the standard was #33 on the 5th floor - no views per se but of the typical Paris rooftops. Good soundproofing at night, a quiet street. There is some construction on a hotel renovation next door, but we were out all day so no issue. The beds were comfortable and were kings in both, perhaps a queen in standard? The hotel was clean, well run, friendly staff and the breakfast was quite good. The staff even got me a birthday pastry from the corner patisserie with a candle! It was included in our deal for superior room but not for standard room. I would not pay for it if not included; their are many places close by for a coffee and croissant. There is also a laundromat just up the street where you can easily do laundry [we travel carry on only and it is great to be able to do laundry so close by]. There is an exercise room and a hammam too! Elevator is a good size. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hotel Le Mareuil!

This hotel offered a nicely appointed basic room in a fun area of Paris as well as awesome staff. Gille is a super nice guy and was very helpful. Others were also great but Gille was our go-to guy. He made multiple reservations for us at some great restaurants nearby; speaks excellent English too. The street the hotel is on is a bit spotty (litter, etc.) due to the widespread homeless problem in the city. That sadly cannot be avoided. But if you walk to the end of the block (right turn out the door, pass by a homeless guy in the alley... -He never bothered us), there is a great patisserie with magnificent pastries and cakes as well as perfect espresso. Not far away in the other direction is the Republique Plaza, which is a great place to have a drink and watch the world go by. The rooms are fairly small, but clean and not cramped. Bathroom also was clean and new. Our room looked out on the street, which I prefer if it is quiet, which Rue St. Marte is. The price was also reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.
