Hotel and staff were amazing. We were even upgraded to the 6th floor with 3 balconies. Room very comfortable and staff so helpful. Breakfast was good, but a bit slow on the busier day, but we still had fresh croissants. Suggest it's a great place to stay and location wise it was quiet.
It was my first trip to Paris and my boyfriend's 10th and we both agreed this hotel was amazing from beginning to end. The reception when we arrived at the hotel was second to none making us a coffee and giving us a map of not only Paris but the Marais district too. They couldn't have been more helpful without being intrusive. Our room was lovely. Clean and bright with everything you could need. Breakfast again didn't disappoint. The pastries and bread were collected ever morning and throughout service if they ran low from The local boulangerie and were delicious as was the coffee and freshly squeezed juices. Every member of staff was lovely, polite and helpful. La Marais is a beautiful part of Paris wuth many bars and restaurants within walking distance. As is Notre Dame and the metro stations of both Reblique and Oberkampf. We will be returning to Paris very soon as it's now hit the top of my favourite cities and will definitely be returning to Le Mareuil. Thank you for making my first stay in Paris a wonderful one.
We stayed here for 3 nights after Christmas. The hotel is located on a quiet street in a lively neighborhood. It's very close to 2 Metro stations (Okerkampf and Republique) serving 3 lines. There's also a supermarket right around the corner. The hotel facility has been very nicely renovated and it has a very modern and chic feel. The room and especially the bathroom are very spacious. It's very clean and the beds were very comfortable. They also have a gym in the basement which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was pretty standard but you could get freshly squeezed orange juice. The entire staff was very professional and courteous. WiFi speed was OK but it would slow down at times. They didn't put a password for WiFi so I wonder if it was being used by non-hotel guests. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend it. Note: the closest Metro station is Oberkampf which serves No. 9 and No, 5. However, if you are taking No. 5, expect to walk another 5 minutes inside the station going up and down the stairs, which could be a hassle if you are carrying a luggage. Maybe a different entrance would avoid some of the stairs.
I had the pleasure of staying of Hotel Le Mareuil this past week. I was in Paris moving my son into an apartment for study abroad. The staff could not have been more helpful in making us comfortable and familiar with the area. There was no question or request they were not anxious to help out with. Best hotel staff i have encountered. In addition, the room was spacious and very comfortable with great ( robe, slippers, relaxing lamp with sleep settings ) The fitness area and lobby were modern and clean. The neighborhood is close to all the best in the 11th Arrondissement. Highly recommended
Amazing contemporary boutique hotel in one of the best districts in Paris. We've stayed in every type of accommodation in Paris but Hotel le Mareuil is second to none. The hotel is located at the secluded Rue de Malte which is a narrow street with very little foot or car traffic. This means when you've explored the city, you can come back at night and actually feel like you're retiring to your private home. The urban chic hotel is modern and clean and the location is perfect in the Le Marais area. That means tons of hip restaurants and shops are at your doorstep and you can feel the pulse of Paris while being just close enough to the major landmarks like the Tour Eiffel and Champs Elysses. We stayed in adjoining classic rooms with the third room being a superior with bath. Each room was attractive with bright colors harmoniously balanced with the furniture. The superior room featured a cozy king size bed of the highest quality and sleep comfort with a special lamp which has mood lighting and soothing sounds for a rejuvenating sleep or even just for tranquil purposes. Perfect to help you melt away and relax in the comfy bathrobes they provide. Each room has a powerful A/C system which kept us toasty in the colder winter weather. Each room also comes fully stocked with the highest quality Nuxe beauty and bath products. The facial lotion even got rave reviews from my brother-in-law who used it everyday! The Mareuil hotel even has a fitness room including a treadmill, elliptical, vibrating powerbike and powerplate and weights. Definitely more than I ever expected. Perhaps the most impressive feature is the hamman with a natural pine-tree-extract oxygenating station. It is the perfect way to detox after a hectic day visiting Paris, its monuments, museums and other attractions. I cannot say enough great things about the staff and they leave no stone unturned in making sure everything is perfect for you. This means they go the extra mile such as preparing an entire platter for breakfast in bed that they deliver to your room on your schedule (though you can also have breakfast downstairs at the restaurant). They even made ran down the block to catch us when we forgot our backpack that we left on their lounge couch. Very grateful for their spectacular staff. Every detail is accounted for from the check-in with freshly brewed ice tea and water for weary travelers to the check-out in making sure you get some Revillon chocolates to go. I would absolutely stay here again when I go back to Paris.
The bed was awesome, really enjoyed the night cove! The bathroom was excellent! Very clean and very helpful and polite staff! The location was very convenient! The breakfast was sufficient and complete with bio ingredients!
Hotel provides what it offers, with a smile. Rooms are smallish but perfectly adequate for our four night stay. Superbly located in a buzzy, busy part of the capital, Le Mareuil is literally a minute away from metro station and bus stops. Hotel staff are very willing to help with advice, recommendations, and helpful hints to make staying at the hotel a pleasurable experience. Highly recommended.
I would recommend this hotel! + clean, good size for the bed, nice receptionist, good facilities, reasonable price for Paris, quiet street, a lot of restaurants around - the IC was on and impossible to stop it, so it was a bit cold, no cutleries or anything useful for you eat in the room.
We were delighted with our 3 nights in Le Mareuil, a small 4 star hotel in a side street just off Place de la Republique, well situated for easy access to Metro stations and restaurants, walking distance to Le Marais and the Seine, and a couple of Metro stops to major shops. The decor and fittings are modern and classy, and while room size is only as you would expect in Europe, there was plenty of room for a king size bed in our Superior Double room. This hotel's outstanding asset is its staff, who were always welcoming, helpful and polite, even when correcting our French pronunciation - remerciements speciaux to Arnaud and Gilles! There are currently major noisy renovations happening to the property next door, so perhaps request a room away from that side until complete. We look forward to returning!
An excellent gay friendly hotel in the centre of Paris, I found the details of this photo on the website which recommended places to stay for gay men in the French capital. I was not disappointed. The welcome on arrival from the receptionist was excellent, he gave great information on the area, handing out maps and restaurant recommendations. He also showed me the spa, gym and steam room which is located in the basement of the hotel. The room I was allocated was a good size, a double room, though in my case single occupancy. There was a well stocked minibar and ample towels in the bathroom. My room looks out onto the street which I fear it may be noisy, but actually there was very little disturbance from cars Or pedestrians. The hotel is located just a couple of minutes walk from Oberkampf petrol station, which takes you to Charles de Gaulle airport via change at Gare du Nord Railway station in just under one hour. If you are using the Eurostar service from London, the hotel is just a few stops from where the trains arrive. If I have a criticism of the hotel, it would be the breakfast. The choice was quite limited, and the hot food which was offered was not exactly appealing. The eggs were dry and crusty, they probably delicious when they had been freshly prepared. The sausages and bacon not very inspiring. I would recommend sticking to the croissants and jam! The coffee was fine, nothing exceptional. For a better option, there is a bakery on the corner as you turn right exiting the hotel. Freshly made bread, pastries and good coffee. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was good. The checkout process was as convivial and friendly as the checking process, Alexis the reception is proving particularly helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and will be staying again soon.
