+ nice decorated + spacious rooms + good situated (next to the Republique metro stations with many lines and the Haut Marais) - Long check in time. - At breakfast there is coffee service at the your table. This can really take a while. Be patient. Because at rush hour staff can't follow. We got our coffee after finishing our breakfast.
Great boutique hotel! We were in a superior twin. Room size was small but I think it was probably good for Paris standards. :) Convenient to two different metro stations. Breakfast was delicious and Berg was awesome!
Lift for luggage a bonus. Clean room well appointed. Relaxing sleep sound unit was special. Breakfast included in the rate. The location was close to Rebublique metro. Quiet small street. Unobtrusive but friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. Queen size bed.
My family and I want to thank the staff at Le Mareuil for everything. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The location was close to everything. Also I want to thank Berg for my morning coffee and great conversation. Berg had a lot of patience explaining to me how to get around Paris. Thanks again Berg. And all our thanks.
We stayed twice and preferred the standard room we had to the upgrade on our second visit. We did explain to the staff why. The standard room we had wasn't big but had a lovely shower. The upgrade had a separate wc but you had to walk past the bed to get to a sink to wash your hands which I really didn't like. Also the shower was over the bath and it had a shower curtain that was constantly drawn to a wet body and was always cold! Otherwise a lovely hotel, well situated and friendly staff. Breakfast was good. My husband liked the Nightcove in each of our rooms.
My second stay in this hotel and great as always. Gilles and Arnaud were excellent! Loved the Nightcove lamp!! Make sure you try the chocolate spread at breakfast. Just one thing - the hairdryer kept overheating but I'm sure this can be resolved easily.
This was my first visit to Paris and I could not have been happier with the hotel. At first I thought we were in so alley way but then realized all the streets were that small in Paris. It was a small quaint hotel and the location was great. The provide you with bathrobes and slippers, which I loved. And they have a breathing type machine (not sure what you call in) that when you breathe in the vapors it opens up your lungs. You are just around the corner from the Metro station which we used to go everywhere in Paris. The Hotel staff was absolutely fabulous. Gave us great ideas on places to eat and shop. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.
i have travelled to Paris many tomes over the past twenty years. in the most recent visit we booked a well known US chain hotel with which we are familiar largely because it had a steam room. when we arrived the steam room was not working so we moved to le mareuil which was a great idea ! this is an absolutely superb hotel - it is small and the rooms are small but very comfortable and stylish and the staff are extraordinarily accommodating and helpful. gilles at the front of house welcomed us and gave us brilliant tips for restaurants and booked them for us nightly - fabulous friendly guy! this hotel represented amazing value for money and is really well located to walk anywhere in central paris
Stayed for 4 nights on b&b basis. Great location just a short walk from Republic with lots of metro options. Very clean throughout and bedrooms were very comfortable, quiet, well furnished with contemporary decor. Good breakfast food selection and helpful staff. I would have no reservations about staying at Le Mareuil again.
A fantastic boutique hotel in a great location. 5 minute walk to Republique metro station. This hotel was far superior in every way than the much more expensive boutique Hotel Caesar we stayed at in London shortly before. Room was spacious, well appointed and clean. Breakfast was very good, but pricey if purchased separately. It was included for us, but if purchased separately was about 18 euros per person. Hotel staff are all top notch. They pay attention to detail and do not hesitate to go out of their way to assist you with anything you need. We stayed on the 4th floor and the wifi worked without issue. This hotel met or exceeded our every expectation. I would definitely stay again when in Paris.
