This is our second stay at this hotel. Although small, it is conveniently located and with several good restaurant options nearby. Walking distance to Tour Eiffel, easy access, friendly staff. Rooms are small, bathroom even smaller, but every thing works. The design is of good taste.
I spent one night in this hotel during a family trip in France this July. I booked a family room (2 interconnected rooms). We missed our flight but the hotel kept our reservation after I called them ahead. I liked the location, just around rue Cler and very close to the Tour Eiffel. Upon arrival, the rooms are modern, but really small. Having 2 rooms helped, but we barely had space for luggage. Beds are comfortable, no space on night stands. Worn out furniture in the room with scratched edges on most surfaces. Bathrooms were NOT good: first they are isolated from the bedroom by simple transparent panels, then the shower is so small that even my wife, who is not so tall, could not move inside its space. There was no space for our toiletries and the toilet was really narrow so that a tall person would not be able to sit comfortably. Breakfast was included, and excellent, in the lower level dining room. Staff was very kind and helpful.
Finding a hotel in Paris for a family is quite difficult. This hotel had some great reviews and was located in a nice location, so we booked it. From the moment we checked in, we found the service to be unfriendly (except the breakfast staff). When we left the hotel for an outing, no one said anything, and when we came back from an outing, we were never acknowledged. In fact, one evening (midnight), the person at the front desk didn't even look up from his phone, had no idea who just entered the hotel etc. Our room had enough space for our family, with enough beds for everyone, which was great. The location of our room however, was less than desirable. We were main floor, right behind the front desk. There was a garbage pick up area right outside our windows, which was terrible at night and early in the morning as that is when they pick it up. We could hear the front desk staff through the shared wall late at night on the phone. This made us a very tired family. Our other big complaint was the bathroom and the fact our shower WAS the bathroom. When you showered, everything was soaking wet .. entire floor, toilet, and almost leaking through the door. We had to pile towels to stop the water from entering our living space, which left us without enough towels. On the positive side, Breakfast was lovely and provided enough options for everyone, and the location was wonderful with easy access to many Brasseries, The Eiffel Tower and the Metro.
We stayed here for 3 nights, top floor, room 504 - and if we looked out of the window we could see the top of the Eiffel Tower. The location couldn't be much better, lots of places to eat and drink nearby or grab some snacks from the (remarkably well stocked) little supermarket opposite. The room was clean and comfortable, plenty of power sockets, the windows are well sealed against exterior noise, we didn't notice anything at all and the curtains did a very good job of keeping the room dark which can be very helpful in the summer. The bathroom was well appointed, and there were plentiful toiletries etc for anything forgotten. The only slight issue I had was that the bath plug had a sharp edge to it that could scratch if not careful - but that was hardly a big problem (though if management reads this they might just like to check and see if it can be replaced). Breakfast was the usual mix of bread, pastries, cereal, cold meat and cheese etc. While the quantity available at any time was limited there were staff around all the time topping up when necessary - although the orange juice machine did seem a little temperamental. I booked this hotel as it was a convenient location for our needs as we were visiting friends nearby but I would not hesitate to book again if I needed a central Paris location.
Traveling with my daughter, sister, sister-in-law and neice. Rooms were small, which we expected. But one of our rooms smelled badly of mildew. Also, there are two buildings. And our two rooms were down the street from each other. The website promises a Macaroon bar in the lobby. It's not there anymore. Breakfast was fine. But I must say that we had better croissants in London and Munich. Staff was friendly and tried to help out with the smell, but really did not provide much help. They did book car service to the airports (We split up and went to different airports), which worked out well.
Tucked away amongst embassies and an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower and many other attractions, this hotel met and surpassed our expectations. The room was spotless and breakfasts were excellent. But what we liked best was that it is located in a residential suburb, surrounded by cafes and bistro's frequented by locals. So for just a few days, you felt like a true parisian. All in all, a great place to stay.
The hotel was in the perfect location. Close to the metro as well just a short walk from the Eiffel tower. A ton of cafe right outside the hotel made it super easy to grab a bit or pick up something from a local store. The room was average. Had a little funny smell but nothing that made us want to leave.
This was my second stay at the Cadran Hotel. Both times I found the staff friendly and helpful, especially arranging car services to and from the airport. The rooms are small, but the hotel is very clean and offers a complimentary light breakfast. Wifi (free) is a bit spotty during the day, much stronger later in the evening. The first time we stayed here our room had a view of the Eiffel Tower. The location could not be better. Almost every tourist sight in Paris is walkable; you are only a 2-3 blocks from a subway station, and steps away from a few friendly cafes. Also, a short block from Rue de Clair, a delightful local market street.
The hotel sleek in design and located in a very tourist oriented area,15 minute walk to Eiffel Tower.Rue Clar, offers nearby assorted dining and shopping.Clean, well maintained rooms, average price-size ratio for the area. Nice staff but very average breakfast. Overcrowded room.
Clean room- average European size, great location - 3 blocks to metro station, 1 block to Rue Clar & 6 blocks to the Eiffel tower, friendly staff - very accommodating, good breakfast. I would return to this hotel.
