Spent 3 blissful days at this wonderful hotel. It's a gem in the Sr George's area of paris. We stayed for my Husband's 50th and were greated by delightful staff and champagne in our room. The room was very clean and air conditioned which was great in 30 degree heat. Breakfast is served in the beautifully renovated cellars and serves everything you could wish for. We were a little nervous as it was our first time in paris but the staff put us at ease and guided us to the metro system , told us where to change stations and where to get off for all the sights and landmarks. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord train station and 15 minutes from Sacre Coeur. We downloaded the city mapper app which guided us around the city, showing Street names, bus and metro links. Thank you to all of the staff who made our stay special and memorable..
There's definitely less expensive places to go if you're a student on a budget, but for an enjoyable weekend vacation, it's a great place to stay. Twin bedroom was large and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. Free treats and drinks in the hotel lobby and the minibar are highly appreciated. The hotel and the neighbourhood generally have a very nice vibe to them. Breakfast was delicious, the cellar was nicely decorated (as was the rest of the hotel). Small downside is the noise of the metro running nearby, but it's possible to sleep through it nonetheless. Wifi was working great the first night, but for some reason I had trouble connecting to it the next 2 days.
We stayed here for five nights for a combination of sightseeing and business and were very happy with the Hotel Lorette. The rooms were comfortable and the free bottles of water and soft drinks in the room were very much appreciated, as were the snacks and drinks in reception. Breakfasts were really good, with a great range of both hot and continental breakfast items, plus plenty of fresh fruit including the likes of melon, pineapple etc. The hotel is in a pleasant part of town with a choice of restaurants and only a few paces from the Metro. The staff were all great. Two minor negatives - the rumble of the metro underneath, and the inadequate lifts, which could sometimes be a challenge in the mornings if you didnt fancy the stairs. Neither of these were enough to dislodge this hotel from 5 stars from us though. Merci beaucoup.
basic but fabulous clean, safe, nice hotel in a great area, st georges - lots of lovely restaurants near by and a few shops, mostly locals not tourists so cheaper and less frenetic super close to transport so really easy to be in paris in no time lovely friendly helpful staff - the night receptionist who checked us in explained (in very good english) that she only spoke a little english then she explained about the free snacks in the snack room and the free mini bar - we scoffed at her obvious mistake... until we realised that her english was correct and there was, in fact, free snacks and non-alcoholic drinks available every evening... what more could you want after a hard days sight seeing in paris???
This is my third stay at this hotel and I choose it due to its location; its two minutes from St. George Metro and only one Metro change to Gare du Nord (Marcadet Poissonniers) which makes it very convenient to the airport. It is surrounded by many restaurants and is a 10 minute stroll to the Department Stores and restaurants on Hausmann. Staff on reception are very helpful and welcoming. The hotel serves a variety of soft drinks and nibbles each evening in the area next to Reception which is a lovely way to unwind after a busy day. The rooms are a good size, clean and well maintained and the bathroom adequate (it also has a magnifying mirror). I will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris. If you are travelling as a tourist to Paris from a Monday to a Sunday (or a few days within this period), do consider buying a Navigo Découverte pass. It covers transportation on trains, the RER, and the metro. It also includes transportation within Paris and suburbs, airports Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY), Chateau Versailles, Fontainebleau and Parc Disney. It is currently 5€ for the pass which you can reuse on your next visit and 21.25€ for the week starting Monday (there is also a monthly option). This is similar to what you would pay for a return fare from the airport to central Paris so it is great value for money even if you are only in Paris for a short period. You can buy the pass up to a Thursday evening for the current week and you will also need a picture of yourself for the pass, 3cm high by 2.5cm wide. I normally travel on a Thursday and return on a Sunday so this is great value for money for me.
Stayed here for 4 nights with my boyfriend. We found the room surprisingly spacious for a Parisian hotel. Nice location and excellent breakfast. Could hear the trains at night but that didn't bother us.
We arrived late on a thurdsay night and checked out on noon the next monday. This was our first time in Paris and we couldn't recommend this hotel more for people looking for a place to stay in between their travels around this beautiful city. The staff was very friendly and helpful with giving us directions and ordering basic travel services for us. Our flight home was late in the evening and they were kind enough to watch our bags while we took our final trip around the city. TL;DR 10/10 would recommend.
The service at the Hotel Lorette was amazing. Every employee we interacted with was incredibly nice and helpful. They had a good breakfast and in the afternoon, they put pastries, snacks and drinks in the lobby, which was a nice bonus. There's also a small play area for kids in the breakfast room. Good sized bathroom and shower and very clean. Beds were a little hard but that's largely personal preference. No air conditioning in May (it's only on during summer months), but with the window open the room stayed cool enough to be comfortable. However, if you are sensitive to noise when trying to sleep, having the window open may be a problem. There's quite a bit of noise even late into the night. The hotel is located in a residential district and is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, markets, and a metro stop only a block away. Easy to get to all the big attractions (Louvre, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Opera House, Champs-Élysées, etc) either by walking or metro. Overall, extremely pleased with the Hotel Lorette. If I'm ever in Paris again, I would definitely stay there.
We stayed in a standard double room and found it quite spacious, especially considering this is Paris. The room is bright, clean, and pleasant to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Other reviews have mentioned the minibar (much appreciated especially on the first night so we didn't have to go searching for water), breakfast, and snacks - I would just like to note that the snacks are fairly limited. We only ever saw a bowl of chips, candy, and a few lonely looking mini croissants. Granted, we never looked until the evening when we were returning from our day. The hotel area felt safe and is conveniently located close to the St. Georges metro station. I will say that at times, we wished we were more centrally located, but transit was not a problem at all. Yes, you can hear the metro running at times, but it is very faint in the background, and shouldn't be an issue unless you are very sensitive to noise. Some nights, there was loud music and people shouting out in the streets, but that's really not something the hotel can control. The staff at the reception area was fine - some a bit gruff, but overall helpful. I would recommend a stay here if you don't mind staying a little further from the main sights.
The hotel is superbly located within walking distance from Moulin rouge, place Pigalle and montmarte. It's 50 meters from 12 metro, bus stop opposite the hotel. Every tourist attraction is about 15 minutes from hotel by public transport. The hotel has a superb buffet breakfast. USP of hotel is free coffee/tea/cold drinks and variety of snacks available for free to guests from 2 pm to 12 midnight. So while returning from your sight seeing trip, you can refresh yourself with drinks and snacks. It gives you real homely feeling. Rooms are big by Paris standards and have a good sun facing Windows. Though the wooden floor creaks and metro shakes the whole building, we had a really nice sleep. Though mattresses need improvement. The staff was courteous and helpful all along our stay of 5 days. Would love to go back to this hotel again.
