The resort was extremely clean and staff was wonderful .. There isn’t much to do in the evening..
Overall everything was excellent. The staff was very kind. And food was high quality and delicious. The rooms were very nice. Clean, chic and modern. The beach was great. My one downside that upset me is that the pool closes at 7. Personally, that’s a big early. I’m an adult and don’t need a lifeguard to watch over me. After dinner- we had nothing to do but sit in our rooms and watch movies which I did not enjoy doing.
The staff was exceptional. The resort offers several dining options and the food was great. It never felt crowded and the foam party was SO fun!! The fitness staff made the daytime pool activities fun and entertaining. There were plenty of things to do if you wanted to be active, but also many spaces / options to lounge and relax peacefully without feeling interrupted and overwhelmed by the other activity.
Terrible customer service and management at this property. This PH location will fail if they do not fix this.
This was the best vacation we have been on in a long time!!! Highly recommended
Relaxing and a great pool. The service staff is generally helpful. The resort has multiple sales people that will constantly try to sell you timeshares. The check out service is absolutely ridiculous and if you go make sure you arrange transport to the airport in advance, especially if you plan on using uber. The resort is very isolated so we found a rental car helpful. The beach is pretty but if you plan on ocean swimming you should drive to a better beach. Most of the food is average and breakfast and lunch are buffet style, so if you show up late you get old food. We went on a sailing and snorkeling excursion that didn't provide what was offered(shopping at coco beach) and as avoid snorkelers, the part we looked forward to most was heavily regimented and no fun. Constant dependence on service personnel, sp tipping is almost non stop. The resort is steeply graded so you either ride in carts or wear good shoes for concrete and stairs.
Staff was super friendly, clean property, beautiful clear water with amazing black sand. Pumped fitness staff was awesome
Customer service was horrible and lacking treating certain guests unequally with the expectation of tips for every little thing. Servers ignore you at the pool, in the restaurants and shuttle service workers harassed certain guests. No action was taken to resolve these issues by the supervisors. No timely follow-up by supervisors in regards to these issues before checkout.
Room service was slow if you even got your order. Ordered coffee and hour and 15 minutes later still not there
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Costa Rica. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome cocktail and a walk down the red carpet. Our check-in experience was smooth, and Henry, our assigned concierge, was very thorough in his explanation of everything from the layout of the resort to the tv settings in the room, as well as how to schedule activities and make dinner reservations. Everyone at this resort is extremely friendly and helpful, which really makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. When we were locked out of our room due to a dead battery in our door, they took care of the issue right away. The food here is good but honestly nothing to write home about. But guess what- we 100% expected this when we booked here. Costa Rica is known for rice and beans, so we did not expect them to have fabulous steak dinners, and we were totally ok with that. The buffets have dozens of options to accommodate everyone including kids’ options, vegan and vegetarian options (we did not need any of these options, but they are there). The meals we had that were made-to-order such as the hibachi grill or the fajita station or home-made omelets were amazing! And the more authentic foods like the rice and beans with some chicken were also amazing. The spa experience was also great here. They offer daily hydrotherapy sessions to its Star Class members which is a total bonus if you just want to relax and feel refreshed.
Great location, great views and nice new property. Multiple dining and activity options
