relaxing high end property

I had stayed at the four seasons that is next-door, so I was not sure how this property would compare, but I loved it just as much! Staff were amazingly friendly. Diffuser spectacular.

The property and location is amazing, the food, especially the out of this world buffet top notch, but what makes this property stand out are the people. They are so helpful and friendly. Every single staff member is genuine and seems to love working there. It was a great vibe of “hey, welcome to Costa Rica….we want to show you how much we love our country and culture.

Unfortunately stay was not as expected. While we only stayed 2 nights, multiple amenities were closed for special events ( i.e. adult pool, restuarant, beach house). We stayed at a higher end room, and felt the experience wasn't worth the money. We went to the beach house in the shuttle, only to find out it was closing. We then asked about the complimentary bikes to try to make the most of it--and proceeded to wait an hour for someone to pick them up from another location. The beaches have low end lounge chairs and was not what I expected. Overall very disappointing experience.

Hotel was surrounded by many trees. If you love nature you would love this place. We saw monkeys, pezotes every single morning. Hotel room was clean. snacks every day. Lot of walking unless you get a golf car ride to go around the hotel. Staff was very friendly. We only had one issue that made me very disappointed. We had bought a wood bowl and had it in the room. One day it disappeared. I asked the front desk if maybe someone took it by mistake. They said they could help me to find it. On my last day I asked again if they have find the bowl and the front desk girl said that they should have started a process to investigate. Another staff member said he would contact us if he find out anything. Someone took that bowl. And according to them only the cleaning staff had access to the room. Bowl cost us $30. At the end it was not about the value of the bowl but more about principle. When you stay in these hotels you expect things not to get lost. I think the hotel staff could have done a better job in investigating what happened.

The resort was perfectly situated and it had everything you could want. The staff were courteous and attentive.

Stayed for 8 days with husband and 2 kids over Spring Break. Great experience - beautiful setting and wonderful customer service with lots to do for the kids inside and outside the hotel. However, Costa Rica is extremely expensive and so is the hotel. A morning cup of latte is 7.50 USD! So not for those that like value for money when traveling. Consider getting meal packages if you can.

Best time, so much to do. Beaches, pools, food, animals, kids area.

Great new hotel in the jungle well integrated and saw monkey

I chose this hotel for its star rating and being close to the Four Seasons I knew I would be in a great area with beautiful surroundings. The service was extremely friendly and they really went out of their way to provide the best experience possible. If you are looking for a gorgeous place that is exclusive then this is your place. If you dont mind never leaving the resort or the closest town 45 minutes away then this is your place. I personally wanted more in terms of the outside world but that is my fault in my lack of research. My room, staff, food, and service were amazing. I felt a little isolated and I didn't know how hot it would be actually until I got there and was sweating profusely all day but a peaceful retreat nonetheless. A private place to decompress and unwind.
