The rooms are a little outdated. Staying at the RIU palace allows you dine at the other Rui resort however, restaurants and dinning process is not explained to you. The food was alright, the buffet honestly compared to the restaurant. The process to check in for the restaurant is not done prior to but at 5:30pm when the red opens and they only serve so many customers and if they reach there total they are done for the day. This process was very disappointing

This place is amazing!! There are plenty of food choices for meals and snacks. The staff is amazing and they are never far away. There is entertainment all day at the pool. My only complaint is the abundance of bees by the pool area. They are very invasive, especially if you have a drink.

The problem with this property is the beach isn't user friendly. The beach is a public beach at the Riu Palace. There are no cabanas. I put a towel in the tree to create a shade area. If your are a pool person who doesn't like a view of the beach this place is for you. NO bathrooms near the pool or beach. You a have a bit of a walk to get to a bathroom. I am not a pee in the pool person.

Elario head chef was fantastic ran his kitchens with grace. Anthony head bartender kept them coming like a waterfall. Housekeeping kept our room stocked with towels mini bar goods and pura vida vibes. Grounds were clean and kept clean at all times.

Well, the stage was below our balcony and was extremely loud and kept us awake !!! They gave us the wrong room upon check in and we had to be moved to a lower floor with less of an ocean view which we paid extra for. If you didn’t wake up at 5:00 am to reserve a seat at the pool NO CHAIRS AVAILABLE!!! There was very limited places for lunch !!! I have stayed in Riu in Jamaica, Dominican rupblic and Mexico and haven’t had a complaint. I give this property a 4 out of 10 !!!

We were on the first floor and you could hear every slamming door. There is only one bathroom around the five pool areas which is ridiculous. It is connected to a restaurant. They need more bathroom facilities because you can only imagine how many people are using the pool as a bathroom after drinking all day.
