My husband and I visited Costa Rica for the first time and stayed at Condovac La Costa. This place had the most stunning views, the friendliest staff, and access to amazing adventures. The rooms are a bit dated, however, the bed was perfect and the room was clean and cool. If your plan is to stay in a room, this ain’t it. If your plan is to immerse yourself in adventure and local community, be surrounded by beautiful sites and enjoy a breathtaking experience, I’d highly recommend. You’ll basically have a person onsite that can connect you to all things. Our guy was Inaki and he literally made himself available for all of our excursion needs. I can say more about this place and the people. Pura Vida!!

The entire staff at this hotel was courteous and welcoming. Throughout your stay at the hotel, they assist you with all of your needs. This hotel has breathtaking views. Although the hotel may use some renovations, we had a wonderful time overall. In addition, the on-site restaurant offers excellent meal service. The beach is within walking distance, and the shuttle service is excellent. I definitely recommend.

I loved the scenery, from the hills, beautiful ocean view, walking distance to the beach, beautiful ocean view from the pools. The property needs renovations and updating. Looks old. Ac unit needed repairs in my room. Hot water wasn't working. Food was good. Snacks were ok. Wifi only worked by the lobby and sometimes in the main dining area.

While the staff is understaffed their kindness shows and they seem to care... the Condovac property is honestly dilapidated, old and in need of some serious TLC!! The all inclusive property has a singular dining hall for all you can eat, with limited hours. The one other place to eat is by reservation only. There is one timeshare-like sales oriented company that's built into the experience. They offer money back etc. The typically. If you like walking hills... get ready!! Yes they have a shuttle that runs with a generous frequency, but it's not always there when you need it. Get ready for serious cardiovascular workout, via your lower body, make sure your heart is good/pretty strong. Otherwise, be patient and await thr shuttle. The food, in the singular dining hall does not seem to be prepared with true Costa Rican pride; needs improvement. Safety didn't seem to be an issue. The location was probably the best thing it alhas going for it. Even tho black sand beaches are a very different vibe, Playa Hermosa (hermosa beach) didn't disappoint. If I could sum up the Condovac experience in one word it would be; Overpriced. They would be wise to sell. And/or close down for 1 year, and commit to rebuilding. going up and down the hill.

The reason we selected this location was because they advertise that they have child amenities like a Ferris wheel bumper cars none of which were open when we got there also, it should be noted that you will have no Internet in the room, which is a bit concerning for us however the location and pools were phenomenal. They had great transportation methods to get you through locations. They also advertise that four different restaurants were available however while we were there only one was available and to be honest only breakfast was a good option there thankfully there were other options available on the beach. We did have to pay out-of-pocket for those restaurants however they were very good 10 out of 10 highly recommend Roberto‘s.

Only best thing about this place is the view and employees that works there. Property is very old with limited amenities. They only give you 2 bottle of water. You need to refill them when you go for lunch/dinner. Foods were same everyday. Nothing special. Costa Rica is a beautiful country and very safe by the way. Peoples are very nice and honest.

We were a group of 8. Ranging from adults/teens 30-14. We had a great time. We spent 6 days 5 nights. I’ll give pros first. The place is big, you have so many places to explore and there is a shuttle that gets you around. Plenty of pool space, the view are phenomenal. The “few” staff members that are present are extremely serviceable. They were friendly and went the extra mile. Food menu for breakfast was the same but very good! They changed it up for lunch and dinner but it was all really good. The rooms were nice and spacious and cleaned daily. Might add cool! We had a few nights were we played cards at the round tables.. which we bought cards located at the store on the property. Bartenders were awesome, and drinks were great. Beach is huge and you can walk a distance to get to various restaurants. Cons, the time we spent there, the rides and attractions shown were never turned on, so pictures are misleading. There were only limited staff as I mentioned. Which they were great but with the size of the place you would think they would have more servers/workers. Beach amenities do not exist. There is no drinks or service at the beach. But we mostly bought from the mini market stores which were close by. Lastly there was not attraction to this place, there were no shows or Zumba in pool type events. It was just a pretty quiet at your own pace All in all we enjoyed the views, pools, pool bars and the food. This place just lacked a few amenities. But all in all great

I booked this property because of the areas for kids like ferris wheel and mary go round and other entertainment along with multiple dining options on campus in all inclusive…. the children attractions have not been functioning for last 5 years and only one place for food was kind of a bummer. also the pools need to be touched up missing tiles i got fiber glass in my foot from the pool… very beautiful view and we had a blast off campus but things we looked forward to experience while staying there was a let down. place has potential but need a revamp and remodel

I read the reviews before coming here and so we were not disappointed, we got what we expected. I would sum it up as you get what you pay for. We paid a really low amount and so I shouldn’t have really high expectations. I would say it used to be really nice when it was new, but they’ve let it go. The rooms are nice enough and comfortable but there are non functional carnival type things that are an eye sore unless they are going for the haunted vibe (an old Ferris wheel and a bumper car area and an ice cream store are just sitting there rusting and unused). The trolley pick up system is good though with all the hills. Beach is close and maybe because it was low season it was really quiet which we loved. Very family friendly so we didn’t have to worry about our 3 kids ruining someone’s honeymoon. Food was ok, nothing to rave about but I found something I liked every day. Was happy with the bar. Staff were friendly. They had a pack and play we were able to use. I messaged through Expedia and got no response. If you want to reach them I would use WhatsApp. The view I will say is gorgeous, what a wonderful location. The 2 infinity pools are nice and we would spend all day there. The kids pool was in need of repair and the hot tub did not work. Gym was pretty nice, had a decent amount of equipment for a resort. Overall, we made the most of it and got what we were expecting.
