You can't beat the location of this property, or the friendly nature and helpful staff. The room was pretty disappointing though. It was worn down, and needed to desperately be vacuumed. The main lobby bar was closed for construction which was disappointing, seeing as that was a major draw for me. When I went to their other bar, they were out of my first 4 drink choices, which were on the menu. That was pretty disappointing too. For the price, it was not worth it.

Déception! Pour un fairmont ce n est pas à la hauteur !! Délai à l accueil, chambre correct sans plus, cheveux dans le bain et souper au resto la terrasse très ordinaire pour le prix. La serveuse était très professionnelle mais le souper digne d’un resto de base. Ce n est pas l image ce quoi à je m attendais. Je ne le recommande pas.

This location was accessible (walking) to Parliament Hill, Byward Market Square, tour bus pick-ups, and downtown. Service was excellent including check-in, concierge, dining, room service, and comfort. RaphaeI at concierge was friendly and knowledgeable and took time in answering my questions. I had the pleasure of meeting the night manager, Loeutz Alcine, who assisted me with an issue I encountered. He handled the issue with patience, professionalism, and ensured my stay was pleasurable. Mr. Alcine's attention to my issure enabled me to enjoy my stay and I plan to return to this property.

Great location - walkable to many restaurants, and shops. Also right off the canal and near Parliament bldgs. Room had many amenities. All parking is valet and at times there could be a bit of a wait, but staff is very friendly.
