We arrived about 1:30 am and it started as a very early day. Getting in was easy as it shoudl be. Parking was great. The host had communicated prior to us getting there that he has just finsihed cleaning it and all was ready for our arrival.The place was picked up and fairly tidy. As soon as we opened the door there was a smell that we couldn't place. But since it was late we just went right to bed. In the morning (about 6 hours late) is when we started moving and noticing the condition of the place. Counters looks like they were cleaned with something but it ended up smearing grease on the granite and didn't look or feel clean. Hood over the stove had a greasy film on it as well. Dish drying rack was filthy with dirty seditments in the bottom. We are guessing that the smell was from cooking and grease that someone was trying to hide the smell with incense. It was bad enough to give me a headache. My wife came out of the bathroom and said we were not staying as she wouldn't even brush her teeth there. SO she started putting the few things we unpacked to sleep back in our luggage. I walked around and took a few pictures of the counters, sink, drain, burnt electrical outlets and one without a cover, windowsills. Pictures of the carpet/rugs and of the stain on the sheets. We vacated the place immediately and had to find a place to stay and I notified Adrian that we vacated the place as it was not clean and didn't smell clean. I have the pictures to upload.
