Monumental Hotel Orlando

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Needed a clean and comfortable hotel immediately and choose Monumental. My one night stay was quite pleasant. Hotel was clean and the staff was excellent. I requested more coffee for the room and it was brought up immediately.

Wet carpet outside bathroom, spoke with front desk, they moved us immediately. Room size was very nice and light, but could use a microwave in the room.

Had a good stay. I wish they would of had a microwave.

Other than this website not sending my reservation to the hotel everything was great.

This hotel is located near restaurants and shopping. very close to SeaWorld and all that International drive has to be offer. The hotel itself has seen better days. It's dirty and most of the things are worn out or not working. I would avoid this hotel since there are many others in Orlando that are newer and offer the same rates.

It wasn't bad just wished it had a iron to go with the iron bored. The pool water to be warm as it says online and on brochure Have microwave in room

The ground floor men's room looks like two stalls have been out of commission for some time. There was no pen or paper in the room.

Great stay, good rooms very close to tourist areas! Pool was beautiful and jacuzzi was very good

This hotel was awesome. I loved how it looked and inside and out. My only gripe is that while at some points it took my breath away it some things that looked tacky. Stickers in place of the door numbers that appear to have come off. Fingerprint smudges on some of the doors. Some dusting needed to be done. I felt for how the Hotel had a classic Victorian look and theme it should not have had these obvious ones I want even looking for yet stood out.

Special thanks to Rodney from Brasil who made check in a breeze and gave us an amazing suite sized room. I am only sorry that we could only stay one night. The pool and grounds are perfect and the area much more quiet than I have seen at other hotels along International Drive. Warning a car is necessary, because the hotel is a nice walk from the road but the hotel is so beautiful it was hard to leave it anyway.

This hotel is located in a really weird area within a three-hotel complex. My (very updated) GPS had a hard time finding it. The parking lot is in the back of the hotel so there's really not good access from the lobby. Upon arrival, we noticed the emptiness of the facility, maybe a sign from other patrons. Even though we made our reservation plenty in advance, we were placed in a room right next to the vending machines and with the worst possible view--even though the hotel was almost empty. In addition, in spite of being two people staying in the room, the chamber maid insisted on leaving one towel every day! We had to call the front desk to keep asking for an additional towel EVERY DAY!! This became quite annoying after a while. We were surprised by a fee that they tacked on to our bill when we checked out a fee that was not openly disclosed when we made the reservation. On the plus side, this hotel is located between Disney and the Universal Studios, so it's a good point if you want to visit both. With so many hotel choices out there in Orlando, leave this one as your last resort.

This is an older property, but not bad. If you're looking for a Hyatt or something in that class, then it's not that. But the hotel was clean and comfortable for the stay

The bed was uncomfortable. It was way too hot. Could not make it cooler. And the rest whole place smells like old carpet.

it was a nice stay , the staff was very helpful. I stayed there for relaxation and I got it.

This hotel is working on getting better quality but is a very nice stay without incident. We have stayed before and will definitely stay again. Beds are VERY comfortable and Sebastian at the front desk is awesome.

We have stayed at this hotel previously and both experiences were roughly the same. We would definitely stay here again. However, it is clear, as it was on our last stay, that this hotel is in the midst of quality improvements. Which is a very good thing but it is easy to see all those things that need fixing. Examples - we had two rooms and one had a very noticeable broken number, the number to the room; the carpets in the rooms and in the hallways definitely need to be cleaned, they are nice but guests have spilled stuff on them and it appears to have been there for a little while; the shower fixtures are old and covered in calcium build-up; both our parties in both rooms only had 1 wash cloth, so we had two wash clothes for 6 women and when we asked for more they didn't have any. These are all small things on a scale of things that could really be or go wrong at a hotel. Sebastian the front desk clerk was AMAZING, our double bed room had memory foam mattresses, our king bed while it didn't have memory foam (yet, I imagine) it did have a comfortable bed, the rooms were clean and tidy (and were last time too), and the hotel is very pretty. Despite all those little things all six of us ladies would definitely stay there again and will.

Love the privacy, rooms are very clean,Love the pool!!! Close to everything including great restaurants !!!!

If you like quiet, cleanliness, great location, very fair price, this is the place to stay. We will always stay here when we visit Orlando. Courteous staff. This place is a BARGAIN!!

Really liked the hotel, pool is awesome!!! Quiet stay at the end of I Drive but still close to all restaurants and activities !!! Would like colder AC!!!! (Governed to 75 degrees) would stay here again!!!

Love this hotel, although it can receive a little TLC. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Hotel staff was courteous. Overall this was a great experience.
