Desert Palms Hotel & Suites

The hotel and the room were clean and pleasant. Sleeping in the room was a completely different story... we asked for a room away from the main street which had constant traffic even at night. We got a room facing the side of the hotel. We were woken up about every 45-60 minutes by either the A/C kicking on OR off which was very loud, the flush of someone's toilet or the slamming of a hotel room door in the hallway. The guests staying above us were running around the room until 0200. Needless to say, we did not get any sleep at all. We were also told prior to making a reservation that we could park there both days as we visited Disneyland even though we were staying one night. We were reassured that it would not be a problem. The morning of our checkout we asked for the parking permit for the day and were told that the hotel is sold out and we would not be able to park there as we were told before and there is nothing they can do :(((. This delayed our getting to the park due to having to park at the theme park parking garage and get shuttled to the park.

The hotel room is beautiful the breakfast and services were awesome .Thanks.

15-20 minute walk to Disneyland. Located close to Garden Walk shopping mall, across the street from IHOP Restaurant, two drug stores, convenience stores and down the street from convention center. Great complimentary breakfast with good variety of offerings. Front desk staff very pleasant. Rooms are not big but totally adequate. There were 4 of us for 3 nights with only carryon size luggage and we had plenty of room. Primary negative was that Wi-Fi was very slow; we never got better than 1MB download speed. We would stay there again.

Hotel staff was helpful and the room/lobby was clean. The heated pool and hot tub were nice to give the family a little break from the craziness and heat of Disneyland. The Disneyland park is in close proximity to the hotel (about a 10 minute walk). I had no complaints. A nice experience. Would stay again.

It was so so, a bit on the low end. More like a Laquinta. I would rate it it below a holiday inn. It was ok, but not for the price.

Nice hotel with good amenities. Proximity to the entrance to Disneyland is a plus! Rooms with views are wonderful to view the nightly fireworks.

Right next to Disneyland although you still have to walk some distance to reach the entrance (too bad there's no back door to the park!). Staff was efficient and helpful. We were upgraded to a 'suite' which provided an extra bed which was thrilling for us as my son and I were sharing a bed the rest of the trip. Lots of outlets for charging devices. VERY comfortable beds: best of our entire trip! Underground parking. Hot breakfast buffet provided although quality varied.

The waffle iron for the breakfast had a screw holding it on that burns your thumb when you lifted the handle. The staff and the hotel manager could not careless about the injury it caused a member of my family. They offered no assistance. When pressed the weekend manager offered the name of the hotel manager who would not be in until a day after we checked out. Then she offered a clinic 'just a 10 minute drive away". When we told he we didn't have a car she almost shrugged as she turned away..

Never booking there again. Poor customer service.

I love staying here because it's walking distance to Disneyland. They offer free breakfast . Since my family and I were returning guests they gave us a handwritten card thank you card for returning to stay with them . I thought this was a nice gesture with a free coupon drink

Staff was awesome! Location was excellent. Hot tub kinda smelled like feet. Pillows weren't great. Nice bathrooms! Complimentary breakfast was good. Overall a good place to stay!

Good breakfast buffet. But no free Disneyland shuttle about 20min walk sucks.

Great hotel great location. Has a Walgreens, subway, pizza place, Chinese food across the street and a 7-11 right next door. Disneyland entrance is about a 15 min walk which can get tiring if you are returning to your room in the middle of the day for naps. The ART ( Anaheim resort bus) for $5 per day will pick you up across the street and drop you off a well. Works best if you have small children 3 & under are free. The breakfast is great and has free coffee in the lobby all day and night. They accommodated us with early check in.

The staff provided excellent service during our stay, our room was super clean, the view was great, and when we checked in, we had an awesome surprise that our room had been upgraded! Thank you Desert Palms!

Stayed there for a business meeting. Very clean, roomy, comfortable room. Air conditioning was actually adjustable and quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. A work associate recommended it and I will recommend it to others who need to stay in the area.

Pretty clean, spacious room, good breakfast, close to Disneyland. We didn't have any bad experiences.

Good buffet breakfast, friendly staff and clean room.

Great for families!!!! We were upgraded to a suite with a view of the fireworks! Loved it! Room was fun and updated! We had amicrowave, fridge and bunk beds for the kids. Free breakfast and free parking! Worth it!

Our family celebrated a 50 year anniversary with 8 of us visiting Disneyland. The hotel staff were very accommodating in making our stay pleasant. Breakfast was satisfying with great options and clean atmosphere. Hotel was secure from outsiders and room was sufficient for all 8 of us.

The location is by far the best thing about this hotel. I read over many reviews before booking this for our trip and was expecting a much nicer hotel. Our room was clean but dingy the bathroom lighting was awful, especially when I was putting on makeup. The breakfast was a big disappointment they did rotate types of eggs served, but it was all rubbery and the potatoes had a weird texture to them. Even our girls noticed it but were more into the waffles and donuts to pay much attention to the eggs we made them eat! Housekeeping was great, but we did not find the front desk staff to be very friendly with the exception of one gentleman the last day we were there. The pool is nice, and the free parking is a huge plus, but we will not stay here again. Based on reviews I expected it to be as nice as the Ramada Plaza (across the street) but it was not even close. If you don't care that much about breakfast or nicer rooms, and are just going for location, then this place is okay. Otherwise, find a better place.

Hi Paige, Thank you for your review. We are very glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit with us. The entrance to Disneyland is about a 10 minute walk, there used to be a "back entrance" into California Adventure right next to us but unfortunately it closed when they built Carsland. We do sell tickets for Anaheim Resort Transit which stops right outside our hotel and goes to Disney which is another option for you. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We hope you can visit again soon!
