Franklin Marriott Cool Springs3.5 out of 5.0

Had a three night stay in a business trip to Franklin. This is a very nice hotel with updated and clean rooms. Comfortable beds but not so much for the pillows. The only bad comment is that they want to charge you for internet when much less hotels giver it for free and for the price it should be included. Other than that it is probably one of the nicest hotels in Cool Springs.
Was out here for business and I must tell you this hotel impressed me with the level of room cleanliness! Definitely the cleanest room I have stayed in a long while! The beddings which is the MOST important thing for me, were so clean! It's like they had put brand new linens and comforters. The bathroom was spotless to which is rare and that truly made my stay worth the while. It has a small fridge and a safe. The entire hotel is very modern, there is a restaurant down stairs and a bar/Starbucks at the lounge area. I loved the breakfast food variety and the stuff was also cordial. Overall, I'd love to stay in this hotel again.
Was here for a weekend visit to look at properties in the surrounding area. A very nice Marriott class hotel. Convenient to Nashville and the airport. The hotel itself is modern and looks to be newly renovated. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. A real nice tough are the ample outlets and USB ports on both sides of the bed. The staff were fantastic and what I have come to expect from a Marriott. My only minor complaint is the checkin process. While the front desk has signs for mobile checkin and elite membership, it's a total free for all.
I was attending a business conference here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Rooms were very modern, with flat screen Smart Tvs in your room - so you could watch Netflix, Hulu, etc if you have your own account. Lobby and common areas had a very upscale feel. The restaurant was good, bar was nice. Lots of meeting rooms - there seemed to be several business meeting / conferences going on in addition to ours the same week. * One down side - I couldn't get the thermostat to hold a temp below 70, so I wanted to make my room cooler and couldn't get it to go down. I did not ask the front desk though *
Great hotel with terrific service from the staff. I was in and out but slept very well in the quiet rooms. Bathrooms are updated as well. Rates were also pretty reasonable when the hotels in downtown Nashville were all exorbitant. Would definitely stay here again.
I recently stayed here one night on business. The hotel looked recently updated and the lobby was beautiful. I was quickly checked into my room. My room was a nice size and provided a great view of the surrounding area (I was on the 9th floor). The room was clean and had everything I needed. Again, the room looked recently updated, which was appreciated. The concierge lounge was nice. My only complaint about the lounge is that it was not marked at all, except for a tiny sign by the door. But no indication on the elevator that floor #10 had the lounge. I’d just recommend extra signs where the lounge was located. Other than having trouble finding the lounge, it was a great stay. I’d stay here again on a trip to the Nashville/Franklin area.
Hotel is conveniently located off of exit. There are a wide variety of restaurants and shops located within a mile or two from the hotel. Hotel is clean, and staff was nice. There is a restaurant with bar in the lobby.
I stayed one night to attend a music festival. Hotel provided complimentary shuttle to festival and was able to accommodate early check in and restaurant was open for late dinner. Room was more than good enough. Only complaint was water pressure could have been better in shower. This was due to type of shower head, not an issue with plumbing. I would stay here again.
This hotel is my home away from home. The staff at Stave are very friendly and accurate with orders. The concierge staff also makes you feel at home. Jeremy at the front desk rocks. Every reason to stay here, no reason not to. Highly recommended.
I almost wrote a lukewarm review based on a stay last week, but I decided to wait until I completed my second stay at this hotel. It is nicely remodeled, and has a great deal of potential. It is, however, impossible to overlook the haphazard housekeeping and service issues. Rather than redeem my first impression, this stay has actually further diminished my impression of this hotel. Last week, I noted cleaning several cleaning misses. There were the inevitable crumbs left on the desk chair and on the desk. There was hair remaining in the bathroom from the previous guest. Surfaces weren't wiped down, so there was obvious food residue. The carpet wasn't well vacuumed. Both the hallway and the rooms have a faint odor that is always attributable to dirty carpets. There are always stains and debris on the carpet in the hallways, and no attempt at spot treatment seems to be made. I am tracking the same stains I saw last week, with no improvement. On my second night of the first stay, I noted a black stain on the underside of the comforter that was very disturbing. I asked the front desk to have someone remove the comforter, and they did, but they were not pleased by my request. This week they doubled down. I had all the same cleaning misses, with the exception of the black spot on the comforter. I have been trying to avoid looking, so that assessment might be an oversight on my part. A new addition to the list of disappointments was a few large, dried urine splashes on the toilet seat. I saw this as soon as I lowered it, and can't imagine how it would have been overlooked when turning over the room. For some reason, it is always raised when you enter the room. Apparently, they clean the bowl, but not the seat. I also got assigned the furthest possible room from the elevator bank this time, which would have been fine if the door functioned properly. It wouldn't open upon check-in. I had to drag all my bags back to the front desk. They discovered no problem with the key, but gave me a new one. On my second attempt, I got into the room, but noticed a hard catch as I turned the handle. I went to dinner and was unable to get in again upon my return. I called the front desk this time, and they sent engineering. Jeff from engineering is the only reason I didn't give this hotel a two. He was very nice and apologetic, and worked very hard on trying to fix the door. At one point, I was stuck inside for about 10 minutes. I couldn't open it from the inside, and he couldn't force the door open from the other side. He worked on it for at least an hour, got it working as well as he could, and then decided to return again the next morning, to finish the job. He left me a coupon for a free coffee or water, which was very kind. He also was very courteous, which is a rarity here. The only bright spot on the housekeeping front is that the sheets are very clean, and have no stains. The towels are clean too. They do a nice job on the laundry. Today, my husband sent me a package through UPS. He told me about it, or I wouldn't have known that I received a delivery. There was no note, no message, and no attempt made to locate me. I went to the front desk to investigate, and they knew nothing about a delivery for me. I knew who signed for it, so they tracked him down in security. I got a call to come down and get it. I signed for it and found there is a $5.00 fee for them to accept, and not inform you, that you received a delivery. I can't help but contrast that with the Mayo Hotel in Tulsa where they call you when you receive a package, and let you pick it up free of charge. I also was relegated to a double room both times. There is not enough room to work at the desk comfortably, and I really dislike the way they have these rooms laid out. I rearranged the desk and chair so I wouldn't have to sit less than a foot from the giant flat screen tv, which involved moving a trash can out of the way. Today, in spite of a generous tip, it was all put back, so I had to do it again. My room also wasn't vacuumed today, as evindenced by the same debris on the carpet that was present when I checked into the room. It doesn't appear they honored my written request to clean the bathroom, even though I left a special request for disinfectant, spelling out the issue I encountered. I plan to put up the do not disturb for the rest of my stay since all they are going to do is raise the toilet seat, disrupt the slightly less uncomfortable workstation arrangement I devised, and make the bed. I then plan to put this Marriott on my "do not return" list. This hotel is overpriced, and is not worth the bleach wipes I wasted trying to make it habitable. I had to add an additional day on this stay, and it is a very depressing thought to finish out the week here. I am counting the moments until check out. If you book this hotel, try not to look at things too closely, and bring bleach wipes.
