I stayed there for 2 nights. The room was clean and well maintained, absolutely no issues with the room. The staff were all very pleasant and the lobby was clean. I really had no complaints about the hotel room or staff whatsoever. The room was nice. The only reason I can't bring myself to give 5 stars is the fact that they still charge for wifi (c'mon, it's 2017 it's time to realize that nobody wants to pay $15-20 for it), and the fact that the breakfast selection was pretty boring. It's just a buffet and the selection isn't that great (very limited hot food), for $15 we just decided to head out to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
was here for one night for a business trip - and it was nice. the hallways looked a bit outdated and had a VERY odd smell - but the actual room was nice and updated and clean. a bit pricey to be quite a bit outside of Nashville - but it worked well for business.
We stayed at the property on Labor Day weekend for 3 nights. The overall layout of the hotel is good. There is a Starbucks/bar in the lobby adjacent to a small restaurant with a nice salad bar and small buffet. A reasonably equipped fitness center is also just off the lobby along with a small indoor pool. Room was average although it did include a very large wall mounted tv with Netflix, which was nice. Maintenance and general upkeep needs some attention. Our room had frayed carpet. Throughout the hotel, there were lots of areas with scuffed up paint. Room service trays sat outside doors for hours. The room that contained the soda and ice machine on our floor had several bags of stinky garbage that sat for a couple days. The lobby area had a large seating area, which was nice. But the furniture wasn't comfortable or functional. Some of the tables had napkins wadded up under the legs to keep them from wobbling. The lobby bathrooms needed updating although were generally clean. Maintaining a comfortable temperature in the guest rooms was very difficult. It was cool outside the first night but room was uncomfortably hot and stuffy. We turned the thermostat down to 64 but it didn't help. We talked to another family who had the same problem, but maintenance wasn't able to rectify it.
I usually stay here when I'm traveling for business (especially if you don't want to be in downtown Nashville). Gorgeous hotel right near shopping area, restaurants and near the major high ways. The pool and fitness center are great too.
Stayed here for a few nights while visiting Nashville. Front desk staff were very friendly and check in was quick. We did have 2 other rooms with family and asked to be near each other but they put us on different floors. Rooms are big and the beds are very comfortable. Pillows very soft. No drawers to put clothes but there is a closet to hang things up. Went outside into the courtyard in the mornings and there was a lot of garbage and cigarette butts not cleaned up. Bathroom nearby was a mess in the morning. Lobby area in the evening not cleaned up either. Cups and plates left all over. The drink machine didn't work on my floor and I called and they said they would take care of it but they never fixed it. I realize the hotel was full as they host several conferences but Ive never seen a Marriott that was so messy.
I would have given this hotel a 5 star rating except for the following: 1. Wifi is NOT free; I don't understand how a big corporation like Marriot would deny their customers this amenity when it wouldn't cost them an arm and a leg. 2. I was happy to see a bottled water as we entered our room after a long drive, only to find out that it would cost us $3! 3. Breakfast is not free either
This location is close to everything in Franklin. The only negative we had was getting a room next to hospitality suite and had to asked twice to finally get moved to another room. This was a hassle and all they offered was free breakfast that was just marginal. Would have been disappointed if we had to pay for it so do yourself a favor skip breakfast.
Marriott brand hotels is synonymous to excellence. However, it's about time to move forward and offer free internet to guests.... not just gold and platinum members. The location of Franklin Marriott is convenient to the freeways and downtown shops and restaurants. Service is up to par also. The room is nicely appointed but staff meed to pay attention to every detail and keep it sparkling clean....which hey did not with dirty vents and moldy caulkings.
We stayed there this past weekend and the hotel was nice. Ample parking, front desk service was excellent, no wait to check in. The hotel was attached to a convention center and even though we got back late we still found a place up front to park. The room overall was nice. The only problem I had was the beds are not on a box spring they are on a platform so if you are TALL the beds are really low :). But it was a comfortable sleep just too low for me. The room had a refrigerator and like a chaise lounge which was great. The bathroom was a nice size and had plenty of towels. Overall great hotel and I would recommend and stay there again when in the area.
Overall we had a very enjoyable stay here. The lobby was lovely and contain lots of seating to enjoy a drink in the evening. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although the beds were extremely low to the ground. The bathroom was nice with a great shower, but the toilet was poorly positioned right by the door, not utilizing the spaciousness fully. The front desk service was wonderful and very helpful, well housekeeping was OK… They knocked and immediately open the door one morning before we could respond to their knock. The lobby restaurant was fantastic – we enjoyed a wonderful lunch there one afternoon with really outstanding food. The location is nice with about 12 minutes to downtown Franklin, and about 25 minutes to downtown Nashville. Seems like a great business hotel.
