Crowne Plaza Moncton provides the high level of service one normally expects and in addition, it provides friendly hospitality. I was impressed with the front desk welcome and appreciated the room upgrade. The room included a good work area, which I needed, and had lots of outlets for internet and laptops. The pool is one of the nicest, and deepest, I have seen and the fitness area looks interesting. The lounge provides a quiet place to relax and I enjoyed attentive service from Melanie. I will definitely stay here again when I return with my wife.
The hotel was comfortable. Even though I was located directly across from the elevator doors it was quiet. They are renovating various floors in the hotel and I was sad to see that I was given a room on a floor that had not been renovated. As a club member and booking more than a couple weeks in advance I thought I would have been given a renovated room. I did get to see one however and they are very nice. I was there for a meeting and the meeting room was good. I didn't love that it was shaped in an L and some of the people were sitting at tables near the back and out of visual range of the tables at the other end of the room but it was OK. The front desk staff and concierge were amazing. Loved the nice people working there. The shuttle driver was great and I love that they have a shuttle to and from the airport.
Positive side : * We got what we asked for as I reseved this a year in advanced. Main street side view of the parade wich was great! * Room was clean. * Friendly service. Negative side: No mini fridge in room I have kids this is a must!!!! And rooms a little outdated but was informed renovations in near future.
My family and I were in Moncton for a little weekend getaway and were very happy when we got the family room. It looked good online as the kids had a separate section with two twin beds, and we had a queen in an adjacent room with doors. However, when we got there it just wasn't clean...it was for sure dated and badly in need of an upgrade which I could handle, but it was dirty:( you could see stains on the wall as soon as you walked in, on the microwave stand long stains going down the full side of it, and the carpet wasn't good. We stayed in the room for the night, didn't put anything on the floor and kept our shoes on, and sucked it up. But disappointing for sure when you don't feel comfortable.... But on a good side, pool was good, nice updated lobby, fast friendly check in, good location and the breakfast Buffett was wonderful. So maybe try and ask for a renovated room if you go here. I wish I had.
Booked this hotel on expedia.ca and prepaid for everything including the breakfast buffet offered by t-bone's, which we were informed isn't run by the hotel. Pros - The hotel itself is very nice, we booked an upgraded room that was nicely renovated. - The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. - Parking was included on the Saturday we stayed (we were told parking is only included on Saturdays) Cons - T-bone's was terrible. We've had continental breakfasts that were better than this. Food was cold and bland. Not sure what the regular price is for this buffet but it was a $14 addon for the two of us on Expedia. I'd would recommend saving your money and eating elsewhere. - And the biggest reason for this review is to point out the issues with our reservation. As previously mentioned this reservation was 100% prepaid. However, they charged us again for the room. It took 3 phone calls and 2 different refunds to get everything sorted out. The staff we dealt with for these refunds were very helpful and apologetic but I shouldn't have had to call 3 times.
Stayed at this hotel for three nights for work purposes. The hotel was once very nice but is getting very old and tired. The rooms are just ok, the beds are very comfortable. I had a fridge this time which is nice. The rooms have keurig coffee machines and the restaurant is nice. We had no hot water in the entire hotel for almost 24 hours due to a breakdown in a circulating pump. This resulted in black water coming out of the pipes in my room. The hotel did not offer any discount or apologies for the inconvenience. Friendly staff and a convenient location is a plus.
Beautiful lobby but that was it. Never have I seen dirty paper coaster, yes, full of coffee stains and a clean glass over top. Paint job was terrible, I expect better when I pay this much $$. Close to downtown, but there are other hotels in the area. Oh yeah small rooms.
Stayed in room 219. Not sure if the room sat idle for awhile but the first time I turned on the taps, the water came out black and ran black for 30 seconds. So much black stuff came out that I couldn't see the bottom of the sink. Gross! Besides that...... nice hotel.
The rooms were very nice, clean and well appointed. I stayed several times for business from end of Aug through to Sept. Each time the staff couldn't do enough to be friendly & nice. Great people there. The breakfast is good, conference rooms were very nicely equipped and the common areas well appointed. They are in the process of renovating their hotel, so some floors are nicer than others. Mostly I stayed on the 5th and it was a bit dated. Beds were very comfy. Nice toiletries, you don't need to bring your own. They also will provide things you may have forgotten (my colleague forgot her deodorant & front desk provided her with some). The only downside is the location- it's not "downtown". There is a bit of a walk to the restaurants and night life. Very walkable but I'm not sure I would like to do it in the winter. It is right across from the conference center they are building though!
Stayed here for just one night with my family on our Maritimes trip. The room was decent (2 queen beds), but it didn't come with a bar fridge! (I guess I could have looked at it closer when I booked it). Gym was nice for a hotel gym with free weights, 2 benches and enough cardio equipment. My mom used the pool and hot tub, but agreed with a previous post about the amount of chlorine used.
