I think to sum up the experience in one sentence - you get what you pay for! The hotel itself is basic but that’s reflected in the price. The staff are amazing.. honestly I was welcomed like an old friend, despite never staying at this hotel before. I stayed in a room with a kitchenette which was nice as it enabled me to cook my own food and not pay the expensive food prices. Also there is ‘no resort’ fee to stay at this hotel. The hotel is on Collins avenue, meaning you are one block away from the beach and ocean drive. The only negative I has was the noise from outside which can be clearly heard in the room. This includes the constant humming of aircon units (not the one in my room), garage trucks and car alarms. This is reflected in my overall rating

The place was very dirty. The shower did not work properly, didn’t drain and was very dirty. The ac didn’t work very good and shot water everywhere. The complementary breakfast was a joke. Just Debby cakes and random junk in a bowl. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Good: AC worked great, nice and quiet. Staff very nice, helpful and professional. Comfy bed with nice bedding. Awesome water pressure and shower head. Some toiletries provided. Secure building requiring code to enter. Beach towels available upon request. The location was amazing, just a short walk about a walk to the beach. Vanilla creamer singles were available. Not so good: Expected older building, but it was rougher than I expected. Breakfast was some bananas and a basket with packaged items like granola bars, fruit cups, yogurt, donuts. They were room temperature and a bit melty. There were juices too that were cold. Overall we were not expecting much, but we still were not impressed. Would we stay here again? Yes.

Overall, this is a quiet place to rest your head. It was clean, but felt very old/dated. The carpeting in our rooms was visibly older and although it appeared as clean as it could be, it looked like it was in desperate need of being replaced. A fresh coat of paint and new carpeting could make this room feel a lot better. In general, I wish I had spent a little more for a nicer room. For a cheap overnight stay on a budget, it was fine. Staff there was very friendly and welcoming though. Centrally located near south beach and restaurants.

Great stay! Great price! Super location! And fabulous service!! Look, ya get what ya pay for & to each their own, but this hotel isn’t THAT bad!! Yes, the building is old. ALL the hotels in this area are!! It’s part of the charm! The outstanding character and hospitality in this facility is EPIC! They have everything you need! The sheets and towels were clean, the bed was a lil firm (some ppl like that) the a/c worked great, they provide a few dishes to eat with, the coffee was excellent & the setup for breakfast was sufficient. Walgreens is just on the corner, the beach is a block away, clubs and restaurants within walking distance and the manager Ricky, is OUTSTANDING!!❤️ We stayed 7 days and I can’t wait to visit again! (Thank u for everything!)
