Worst Stay Ever — Dirty Rooms, Rude Staff, and Discrimination
We booked two rooms for $150 per night each ($300 total for just 1night) and it was the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. When we arrived, the front desk person was busy flirting with a young woman while I stood there waiting for about 5–7 minutes with small kids. When I politely asked for help checking in, he gave me a strange look before finally assisting us.
As soon as we entered both rooms, we were shocked — the rooms smelled terrible, there were hairs in the bathtub, dirty towels, broken closet doors, and even pet hair on the beds. It was nearly impossible to breathe in there. We went back to the front desk and asked if we were mistakenly given pet-friendly rooms because of the smell, but he rudely denied it and said there were no other rooms available because the hotel was fully booked.
Since we had small children and elderly parents with us, we didn’t want to make a scene, so we tried to make it through the night — but it was awful. My husband and I barely slept and were ready to leave by 6 a.m. The morning front desk staff confirmed that rooms 201 and 203 were pet-friendly.
That confirmed our suspicion — we were treated unfairly and likely given those rooms because of our skin color. We left feeling disrespected, disgusted, and deeply disappointed.
Never again will we stay at this hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
