First time to stay here, even though we've dined at the restaurant and gone to the spa before. Pink Panda's southeast asian cuisine is still up to par. We were quite happy with our lunch there before we checked in. We didn't get to try Art Circle cafe, so I'm not sure how the food is there. The lobby is a bit small, it gets quite busy during check-in/check-out times. The concierge area is cramped with luggage, I don't think they have a separate storage room for safekeeping the bags. Our room was a non-smoking 2-bedroom deluxe, it was spacious and mostly clean. But the floor did have dirty shoe prints from the entry way until the living area. So we asked housekeeping to clean it up, which they did right away. Airconditioning in the rooms were not as cold as the one at the living/dining area. The hotel staff was nice enough to grant our request for rooms beside each other on the same floor (we had family members in another 2BR deluxe). Also, they gave a complimentary birthday cake for the celebrant. Though it's the first time we've experienced a hotel giving one that is store bought (from Goldilocks). I guess it's coz they don't have an in-house bakeshop for pastries & sweets. Some minor setbacks, though - The bathroom toiletries didn't include shower gel. I forgot to pack my own, which I usually do during staycations. I had to settle for their bar soap and it wasn't the best. Also, there was no facial tissue in the room. But when we requested for some, housekeeping brought up a box. Just seems weird why they don't provide it right away. Another first is that the bedroom didn't have blackout curtains. That was a deal breaker, since the sunlight was too bright the next morning and we all woke up earlier than we wanted to. Also, be wary of the bottled water in the room. They provide complimentary ones (small size) with the Y2 hotel brand, as well as bigger ones that are not complimentary although they look exactly like the small ones (with the same Y2 hotel label). There is no other distinction between the two, so it seems like entrapment that they charge you for the bigger ones. The very least they could do is to indicate via a sticker/label that the small ones are complimentary, so that you can tell the bigger bottles are not. Or they can also provide bigger bottles that are of a different brand (not the in-house Y2 hotel label) so it is clear that those are not complimentary. Just seemed a bit sneaky, that's all.
My family had an unfortunate experience in the spa where the staff rudely dismissed because they arrived half an hour late on their booking but then there were no other customers that time. Anyhow, the hotel granted us an upgrade on their suite so we quickly forgot that incident. It is basic but good enough for a short stay. It has a kitchen so I guess it will be suited for business travelers or families on staycation. Though the reception needs improvement in handling customers in an orderly fashion. We waited for an hour just to check out. They could have added staff if there will be a throng of visitors for a given day. Also, the location is in one of the busiest areas of Makati full of bars, restaurants, and shopping malls. If you don't mind sleeping with a loud music on then this place is a good match.
My family and I stayed in a a two bedroom apartment here. Room was excellent, spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Location was ok, but perhaps a bit more oriented to solo travel rather than families
The room (Rm 511) that I stayed in at the Y2 Residence Hotel was spacious, had excellent airconditioning, well maintained bathroom (with a bidet), and even had complimentary fruit at the table (bananas, mangoes, and oranges) when I entered the room on my arrival. The keycard functioned well (unlike my past experience in a different hotel). Check-in and check-out were very quick. The staff were all polite. The breakfast was kind of limited but that was easy to overlook as the service was at par with standard. The location is near Makati's Red Light District so expect to see many foreign nationals when you walk in the lobby at night. I rode the elevator with two drunk middle eastern-types. One apologized for the behavior of his drunk companion. Overall, it's a good place to stay for the price that the hotel charges.
Whenever I want my kids to unwind, I always bring them to Y2 hotel. Friendly atmosphere and kid friendly. Hospitable staff and nice pool at the roof deck. The room is really clean. You can even cook your own food :)
My family and I (almost 20 people) spent Christmas in Y2 Residence Hotel. The staff were very accommodating with our requests. Check in and check out was quick and efficient, even for a big group. The breakfast selection was just right. The rooms are so spacious specially the corner room. We will stay here again.
We stayed at Y2 hotel last July 8, 2017. The lobby was a welcoming sight but the staff aren't that hospitable. When you ride the elevator, it reeks of smoke even if the sign says no smoking. The room looked good and was newly cleaned when we entered. The location is perfect if you'd love to go bar-hopping or just go to a chill out place. It's surrounded by tons of bars and restaurants. The next morning, what pissed us off was when the housekeepers just entered the room without saying anything and we were awakened by their footsteps and conversation. That was just plain rude. Their breakfast choices were limited and tasted bland. Overall, I really do not recommend this if you're staying with your family. It's probably a better option if you're hanging out with your friends and just would like a room to stay in after clubbing or something like that.
Location is an advantage, near the central district and it's also walking distance to supermarket, considering that their rooms come with kitchens, it is very convenient especially to long staying guests. I booked a 2bedroom deluxe for my birthday with my friends, the kindhearted Front Office agent (I'm sorry I forgot his name) gave me a room even I arrived early. The room was spaaaacious, bed and pillows are just something you need after a tiring journey. They are not strict with food deliveries. I just found that kitchen amemities and utensils weren't washed thoroughly as I still found some stains on knives, pots and chopboard. Lastly, just a suggestion, maybe yoy could also tighten up your security a bit. Nobody ever checked my/anyone's luggage when I was coming back and forth, not even once. Overall, we enjoyed staying. I just hope the pool could have been larger :)
We arrived at the hotel around 6 PM and I am awfully surprised that our room is not yet ready considering our arrival time. They gave us a welcome drinks and after approximately 15 minutes we finally arrived to our room. But Im disappointed that the room they gave us is a room with one big bed when it clearly states in my confirmation voucher that they booked us with 2 separate beds. I called the FO for the room transfer and they informed me that the room with twin beds is not yet ready and we have to wait for at least 30 minutes, they offered to set up an extra bed free of charge instead of the room transfer, considering that we are very tired, we half-heartedly accepted the extra bed set up instead. A few moments later, someone knocked in our room and informed us that they will fix something in the bathroom and so we let him do it. It’s just weird that the FO didn’t even mention to us regarding this maintenance. PROS: Room was clean, spacious, with fully equipped kitchen and a dining table, no corkage fees. Great location. Bed and pillows were comfortable and fragrant. Breakfast buffet was satisfying, limited choices but good enough to keep you going for the rest of the day. They have a gym and a pools for kids and adult, pool area are spacious and they have this penthouse at the roof top. Staffs will greet you with smiles all the time. Thumbs up for that. Internet connection was fast! CONS: Slow check in process, restaurant (Pink Panda) staffs were inattentive, I expected someone will check your table time to time asking for coffee refill or clear your soiled plates right away, but they wont do such things unless you ask them to do so. There are 3 lifts which can bring you to certain floors only, so be extra patient. The pool flooring is quite slippery, I think its not very safe especially for the kids, so be very cautious. Hotel is ideal for family and long staying guests. Just fix a couple of things. Thank you for having me :)
We booked from travelbook.com . We stayed for my birthday week end. 2 bedroom deluxe. From frontdesk, housekeeping, security ... very courteous @ polite. We never encountered hotell staffs snob us. Friendly and accomodating. Willing to assist anytime you need. Great rooms, spacious @ clean, bed so cumfey. wifi good, tv channels ok. Nice kitchenette. We like the yin yang concept of the hotel. Modern facilities. Were in 14th floor, Great view of the city. Lots of commercials center and restaurant bars around the area. Were not nosy LOL but we noticed ..y2 staff asking for an government id of one foreign guest before entering ..so awkward but we think its ok for the sake of safety and security of all guests. The rooftop pool is quiet nice but too small for huge numbers of guests. Elevators very slow. ..... We waited half an hour in the lobby before we let us to check in ...we expecting that our room ready already before we arrive :-( ....bathroom little smelly not sure were it came from..maybe the leak from out of nowhere hehe. Over all, we enjoyed a lot staying in Y2. I will be back :-)
