Elevators are slow and some big under door gaps but otherwise a perfect place to stay

The thermostat didn’t work right and the room was about 80 degrees despite being sat at 65, the room had poor lighting and the mini fridge didn’t work at all.
Did not have any information or a guide for the TV. Had to scroll through hundreds of channels.
Everything was fine.

Liked: Very clean hotel! Friendly staff & quiet hotel. Great location & lots of restaurants close ! Didn’t like: Outdated interior& the breakfast was just muffins, bagels and granola bars set out to grab and go.

This place is a short walk from some amazing restaurants, but best of all is right next to one of Madison's extended biking/hiking trails, which is a joy to walk through.

I enjoy staying here and have a few times due to location and that it’s off the beaten path but still close to my favorite stores.

1. General condition was poor. 2. The second night of my stay, noise blasted from a nearby room starting at 10 pm. When I called the front desk at 10:30 pm, the clerk already knew about the problem and the culprit and said they were responding. The noise continued. At 11:30 pm I called again. The noise didn't stop until after the second call. The problem should have been handled more promptly and good customer service would have been an apology from the hotel to the disrupted guests. Instead they did nothing. 3. Wisconsin is a hot spot for Covid 19. Wyndham promised a mandatory mask policy in public areas. That's the only reason I was willing to stay here. After I noticed multiple guests with no mask, I complained to Wyndham customer care. They told me it's up to each hotel to whether not to enforce wearing masks. That's not a mandatory mask policy - that's a mask optional policy that puts customers at risk of serious illness and death. Wyndham customer care said I could talk to the general manager if I wanted to. When I did, he was hostile and defensive and then cancelled the rest of my reservation and told me to leave immediately. I wasn't even at the hotel at the time. He eventually said I could stay until the following day but then had to leave.

We ended up staying in a King Suit and we really love the lay out with the separate room for the bed.
