This hotel is not in the best of areas and is a Motel, one floor, and has incredibly small rooms...not at all what the pictures depict. Definitely would not recommend. It WAS clean and breakfast was better than expected....but for $100+...I'd definitely book somewhere else.

You get what you paid for, no additional stuff. GREAT LOCATION. small rooms but clean. Breakfast is not much stuff, completely absent in some days. One night very hard to sleep because of a person, who was shouting and hitting the door/walls of his room. Not recommend if you are travelling with children.

Everything about my experience was good except the room temperature. There were no individual thermostats in the room. The temperature was too hot for me.

This is an older motel. The outside is not much to llok at but the inside appeared to be recently remodeled and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and all amenities were in good working order.

Best value for location to University and downtown Madison. Clean enough.

Thought it was pretty sketchy that there was never anybody at the front desk-always a sign that had a phone number to call that took me forever for me to first check in. Once I did she confirmed my reservation, and gave me a code to a small box on the wall so I could retrieve my room key. Rightfully so, I became worried about the safety of this place, but I never had any troubles for my four day stay. The room wasn't as bad as I thought it would be-I've been in worse. The sheets appeared clean and had all the room amenities I needed. The location is right outside of the beltline, so you get a great view of the highway. I didn't feel like the neighborhood itself was rough or unsafe-but then again I've been in worse. Overall, if you can afford to pay a little more to stay somewhere else, I'd probably take it.

From the outside the hotel doesn't look like much. On the inside you can tell that the place had been there a while but it was very clean and well kept. There is a nice flat screen TV, New fridge and microwave. The desk person was very friendly and prompt.. Location wise it's 5 minutes to downtown and right off of the highway. If you are expecting hi end you won't find it here but the price was less than half of nearly every other hotel that was close.

Although this was a 1-star motel, I did not expect bugs in the room -- crawling on the bed and in the shower -- and a smell of stale smoke. It was supposedly a smoke-free room and there was a penalty for smoking in it and yet the room smelled and our clothes smelled the next morning. Yuck. Breakfast was ok. Will NOT repeat a stay there, even to save a few $. Just not worth it.

It wasn't what I expected. Reminded me of the Bates Motel. Had a lounge that wasn't actually open and seemed like it hasn't been open for years. The breakfast wasn't good and in a odd place. It was right off the highway and close to UW- Madison, which was a plus.

Nice place. Good mattress, nice tvs. Continental breakfast had waffles in addition to cold items.

A small sized hotel. But rooms are clean. I took a bus to get there.

I stayed here with a few friends on Halloween weekend. The room was perfect for what we needed-- a place to come home and crash. The continental breakfast in the morning was a great perk-- not a huge selection, but they did have a waffle maker. The room was clean, and it was nice to have a fridge and microwave. Lots of restaurants in the area!

Had a good stay. The folks that run this place are very nice and personable folks. The rooms are older, clean and easy to access. There is no one on site late at night, so if they forgot to clean your room, or you need anything, you have to wait a while. Still a good value if you are in the area near the arena for an event, and just need a cheap room. The free breakfast is OK., not great

Too noisy (from traffic)

Everything about the room was great...but the continental breakfast...cereal was offered but there wasn't any milk to go with it, no creamer or milk for coffee. If you have kids along, milk is a must. The rest was fine. I'd stay there again...but I'd bring my own milk!!!

Good (If budget is limited). WiFi is slow and there is traffic noise at night.

Hotel was old and worn. Although it was clean, it had a bad sewer smell in the room. Had to keep bathroom door closed. No AC unit in room, had to call staff twice to turn AC on. Room temperature never changed. Staffed sounded inconvenienced by my calls.

Fairly clean, but very run-down in a run-down area. Highway noise terrible, and NO CONTROL on HVAC - except window...which exacerbated noise. Puny shower, saggy bed, not a pleasant experience.

It was very clean. They offer a "continental" breakfast, which was "OK". Opened at 6AM - 10AM. I went for coffee at 7AM and the urn was empty. I called the front desk and she said " I am not near it right now." We left at 8:45 and the coffee never did get made. That is the number 1 thing people like in the morning. I had a urn in my room, but no coffee pot for it.....strange. There wasn't a heat/air control either in the room. It was noisy as far as traffic, hearing people in the hallway and upstairs. Shower was ok, but got hot and hotter while in it, if someone else turned on the water elsewhere. I appreciated the clean room however. It was spotless.

We checked in with a very friendly desk person. The motel is small but accomodations were all we needed.. A place to get ready for a party and then a place to sleep afterwards. Beds were comfortable, the place was fully booked, rooms were clean, shower was great, coffee in the am, all for a great price. I'd stay again.
