Sheraton Madison Hotel

3.5 out of 5.0

Stayed here for the high school state hockey tournament. Hotel was very nice and within walking distance of the Alliant Energy Center

Hotel felt dirty. Beds were comfortable, but room was small and dingy. Surprised to see that the rooms did not have mini fridges or microwaves. Cost for the snacks at their "store" were outrageous! Staff was mediocre at customer service. High speed Internet didn't work via my devices or at the spot offered by the Sheraton. Will choose a different hotel over convenience next time.

We were there two nights and never got room service... other than that great hotel!

Overall, the hotel was well-kept, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant had good service and good food. We stayed two night. Upon check-in, there was a coffee maker on the floor outside of our room in the hallway. The lid of the coffee maker was off of the coffee maker and upside down on the floor. We did not have a coffee maker in our room. Two days later when we left, the same coffee maker was on the floor outside of our door, with the lid on the ground. It never moved.

After check in, I was surprised to see that the room quality did not match the lobby. I prepaid a room with orbitz and felt that I was given a sub standard room, with cracked tile, shabby wallpaper, compromised privacy due to an adjoining door - I could hear my neighbor all night and got his wake up call at 5:30am. The Starbucks attendant was very curt and the milk she used was sour. Very disappointing, as I travel to Madison regularly and would have liked to continue to stay at the Sheraton.

My check in with was with a listless somewhat sloppy desk clerk who barely said a word. The bed was comfortable but the room needed updating. I found the clock had been unplugged and was dark, and the TV only gave a picture every other time you turned it on. Someone is not paying attention. The lobby is nice enough. The bar is uninviting. No one serviced my room after the first night, and when I complained about it the next morning they apologized and said they would of course service it daily. No one serviced the room that day, either. Pretty amazing. To his credit, the supervisor was very apologetic and took one night off my bill. Get it together!

The hotel facilities and friendly staff were quite good The shuttle driver Harry provides a nice informative tour of Madison However the shower head leaked and sprayed water all over and there was no coffee pot The pool. and area is well maintained

The overall hotel and experience was fantastic, only thing preventing me from giving total 5s are the lack of a microwave and mini refrigerator in the room. It was an extremely hot 105 degree weekend and it would have been nice to have cold water instead of the luke warm water in the room.

Good hotel overall. Although there's nothing much right around the hotel, it's convenient to campus, downtown, the highway, etc.

For the price I would have expected the TV to be plugged in when I got there but everything else was nice. Overbooked king beds so we got put in a double queen but the staff was very friendly and took care of us.

This Sheraton was adequate but I'd probably look for somewhere else next time. It seemed like it was just a little old. The room met our needs and it was mostly clean, but it certainly wasn't plush. Our room was not sound proof at all. We could hear normal conversations in the rooms next to us and everything in the hallway. Staff was very friendly though and the exercise room was nice.

clean hotel , fun for game day- tailgate and shuttle provided for easy access to campus -

I stay here frequently when I am in town, and always enjoy my stay. Great indoor pool, Starbucks coffee in the lobby & in the rooms, and the Club Level is very nice, clean & quiet. Try out the bar food if you aren't entered in the full dining - great stuff if you're looking for casual. The only note is that it is off John Nolan Dr., so not in walking distance to downtown. Check out the offered shuttle instead for games & campus visits. The crew at the Sheraton is always great about helping out.

I stayed a this hotel during a business trip to Epic. Great location. Good balance between downtown Madison and Verdona

My business sends me to Madison every year for a trade show, and this is one of the three hotels that the trade show organizers recommended to us. They told us all three were an easy walk to Monona Terrace. They lied to us. This hotel is not an easy walk to the Monona Terrace. Not the hotel's fault. The hotel was awesome. The staff was amazing. They were friendly, attentive, and knew the area. There was a shuttle that ran most of the hours we needed to get to or from the convention center, so we still were okay without a car. Our room was clean. The internet worked. The hotel provided everything I needed it to during this work trip.

The convenience of the hotel location to the Alliant convention center was the main attraction for me. The hotel was just fine and staff most cordial. Parking was a challenge - it seemed as if we got the last possible place. I plan to be back next time we go to Canoecopia.

The staff was very helpful. They let me switch rooms from a pet friendly room to a regular room because my child has allergies. very nice

We made the trip for the College Football weekend. The hotel was reasonably priced for a bunch of guys to drink and watch football. Location was okay...$15.00 cab fare not matter how many you can load in the cab. Good place to stay.

Hotel was good staff was wonderful! Toilet didn't flush but they took care of it. Great stay

Staff was very helpful when we asked questions about the area. Very easy to get to downtown Madison. Only bad thing was that the floor smelled like smoke though it was a non smoking room and floor.
