Hotel Fox is conveniently located, just a 6-7 minute walk from the Lucerne train station. Hotel staff was super nice and friendly. The hotel is also a short walk from old town and the main tourist area. The hotel is charming, modern and clean. The area is very safe, with fun bars and restaurants on the same street. The bathroom was newly renovated. The only issue was the room and bathroom size were a little small. However, I’m Europe things tend to be a bit smaller so take this with a grain of salt. We were overlooking the train tracks, and heard nothing. The room was very quiet. There is also free WI-FI. Could not find any stations in English despite the 200 television channels they claim to have. We stayed here late September 2018. All in all, we were quite happy with the accommodations.

The hotel is a 5 minute cab ride and about a 12 min brisk walk from the train station. The hotel itself is modern, but it's not conveniently located. In fact, it is directly next to the train tracks, with trains running until midnight every day. The facility is clean and the staff was wonderful. They were very helpful with my questions, helping with my wifi, arranging for a cab, and contacting an excursion company that cancelled on me. The down side is that there is no air conditioning (yes, there's a small fan on the night stand). If you're there in the summer that is a problem, because it's so loud with the windows open from the train. Also, if you're there on a Sunday or Monday know that it will be very difficult to find food anywhere in the area. You will have to walk back into town if you want to eat. I was fine with the distance at first - it's really not that far...but when you've been hiking all day and your legs are killing you, walking that extra way back to your hotel is just not desirable. Otherwise - clean, modern, great staff.

Nice Hotel, close it old town and sites, reasonably priced for a short stay

Everything is good except a bathroom. The door is a clear glass. And I stay with older friend. If I would like to take a shower, they have to get out of the room for waiting me.

Nice stay for a couple days. Worked well for what we needed.

Parking was in a very hard to maneuver garage where one had to make a 90 degree turn as soon as you entered. The room was fine, but nothing special. Area was okay and one could walk to restaurants and to the old town

Did not have a good experience. Place is not well located. A lot of noise from outside and hot in the room. Furniture setting was weird

The hotel is modern, but the rooms are terribly cramped. The hotel is located adjacent to several train tracks, and the trains do not stop all day and all night long. While closing the window would have decreased the amount of noise, there is no air conditioning to control the temperature of the room. While you could stay here, I recommend finding lodging that is located a further distance from the trains.

We got a 40% off deal on this hotel. I was really skeptical after reading the reviews but still decided to go for it as we didn't want to spend a lot on hotel (it is already very expensive in Switzerland). I had requested late check in and an additional crib for the baby which they were able to provide (an additional twin bed). The staff was fast to respond via orbitz message portal. The room was nice, clean and cozy. There are no ACs but the fan was good enough. You can open the windows too if it gets too hot. It is very close to the train station (7 minutes walk) and also to restaurants and local grocery. If you are on a budget, definitely go for it. Cons: Internet was slow, would disconnect and connect again after a while but we managed to get our way through it, including use of google maps, weather etc. The train station is close so there is noise but if you have windows closed it should not bother a lot. It's not really loud, we were on a higher floor probably that's why. My little one actually enjoyed a lot looking at the trains from there. Overall, not a bad experience for the price.

A few suggestions : -reserve parking in advance ( only 8 spots for the whole hotel) - make sure THEY connect you to their wifi( so complicated, if you do it wrong- you'll be without it(I stayed w/out it :() - make sure ur windows r not facing the railway ( so F noisy) - no fridge, no iron, no phone - reception closes at 9.00 pm ( no way to check in after hrs, if you have emergency there is no one to help you)

The Internet speed is zero. The quadruple room I stayed was very small. The shower booth is small, too. But the hotel location is good.

The hotel is right next to the railroad track and it's very noisy even with the windows closed. The room is also very small. Its so small that only 3 twin beds fit in it, no chair. Wish they do not use frosted glass shower door. The staff are very friendly. Check in and out is easy. The hotel looks modern and clean. It's also 5 minutes' walk to the main station, so it is convenient for excursions to visit the nearby mountains.

Todos los alli empleados fueron muy cordiales y profesionales y muy atentos. El cuarto demasiado pequeno para tres person.as;. Bathroom no privacy...right in middle of room.
