Place is very nice/modern. Easy to walk to DTLA. Cool little bar downstairs. Cool restaurants/bars in the hotel which was convenient. Views from the room are really nice!
I really enjoyed my first stay at the Moxy! This is hands down the sexiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The scent in the lobby is divine and I need to know what it is. The lobby has plenty of seating with a cool motorcycle, a beautiful bar and a coffee shop. We had a corner room with 2 queen beds on the 31st floor. The views were gorgeous! The room is tight and the bathroom situation is different from your average room. One of the sliding doors leads directly into the shower while the other end leads you to the toilet. These rooms also share a wall so if someone is in the shower, you are directly next to someone while they're on the toilet. Oh and the doors are basically fogged glass so you can see silhouettes. The room does not come with lotion so make sure to bring your own! It does however have shampoo/ body wash, conditioner and hand soap (that's a plus for me!). Valet was also very convenient, but costs $60 for overnight. The staff was all very nice as well. I look forward to staying at the Moxy again in the future.
The Property was ok in general however our room location allowed for loud DJ bumping music all night. Terrible sound attenuation room designs. So sad that management would rent adjacent rooms to the DJ knowing that this unforgivable inconvenience would occur. Could have received a friendly warning at a minimum.
Rooms are quite minimal in what they provide. Would have liked a refrigerator. Also I was given a room that had not been cleaned. The manager took care of it but it was a surprise. Check-in could be 1 to 2 hrs earlier.
Not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Front desk doesn’t answer the phone and it is the smallest space with the funkiest lightening!
