Freehand is an excellent choice for travelers who love the vibrant areas of downtown Los Angeles. The accomodations were so comfortable and the service was great. It's also a short walk from the metro station. Freehand's also surrounded by stores, bars and restaurants, including ones on the property. There's just so much to do and see. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Great location near food, stores, and events. Lobby is nice. I stayed in the hostel room as this place offers dormitory and single room. The bunk beds make a lot of noise and everyone will hear and feel it.

Really loved this hotel when we visited, but to stay was different altogether. Check in was OK but we had a 2 hr wait, room was fine- bunkbeds made us laugh, rest is very basic. There was blood on my bed frame, but the worst thing was housekeeping, my daughter left her toilet bag and electric toothbrush in the room, there was roughly $400 worth of cosmetics & jewelry, which went missing during check out. Front desk said they don’t keep low denomination items… but they never had it?? Made me not want to return or recommend.

first time staying at a hostel and this place was great! beautiful hotel, very clean, felt very safe, my only gripe is that parking seems like a pain but they do offer valet which i opted for because i truly could not be bothered to try to find parking overall great stay and i would def come back!
