Major hassle with the check in required numerous phone calls and way too much time to clear up

Good vibe. Great location. The decor is unique. Great bathrooms.

We like it but staying is expensive... it is not a luxury hotel but to pay 329$ for simple place is a lot (unfortunately we discover that only when arrived )

Great hotel. Loved the decor and overall vibe. Me and 2 friends stayed in a room with 3 bunk beds. There was only 1 sink in the bathroom, think there should’ve been 2 since there were 4 beds. Needed more towels.

Nice hotel, but the rooms are very small definitely not worth what they charged. seen the biggest roach ive ever seen in the breakfast area where the food was sitting out. overall though it was a nice place besides the room size and the roach.

Great location. Cool vibe. Very comfortable. Staff generally awesome, but on one occasion we were made to feel uncomfortable when it was implied that we were sneaking in to take the continental breakfast (muffin and apple) without paying for it after the documentation we were given told us the breakfast was free and the day before we were given a bracelet for access to breakfast by the front desk staff. Apparently, the free breakfast is not for people in private rooms, which I find a little weird given the fact that we paid $250 per night and all the breakfast included was a muffin, apples and cold cereal. It seems to me that they could have let this one slide, or at the very least assumed that we were not trying to sneak in for a free breakfast.

I was very impressed with this hotel. We got a free upgrade, which was very pleasing. The only thing I wished for was better parking. There wasn’t any on site, so I had to pay an e tea $50 for valet. Not so great. But hotel was awesome.

Central location, close to everything. Lots of great food spots!

Very nice hotel with very friendly and accomodating staff. Aesthetically pleasing although the lights are a little dim.

The Freehand was very well designed and perfectly located in DTLA. Their pool and Broken Shaker bar on the rooftop were wonderful as we spent the afternoon overlooking the LA skyline. The room was comfortable and had all amenities. Staff was very helpful and accommodating as well! Would stay there again!

Great new hotel smack in the middle of DTLA. Very cool design! We stayed in private room which was comfy and had view of all the action below on downtown streets. Rooftop pool area is very nice and relaxing with great views. The pool bar had the best drinks...say hi to bartender Katerina and Vivian!

THIS HOTEL IS SO AMAZING, It was a total unexpected surprise. The staff was very genuine & friendly. It was like being at a party every night however when you want to go to bed you don't hear the party going on. I was woke by screaming homeless outside... a few times but that can happen anywhere. It is a great place for work trip , i met up with friends in the lobby and we did not have to go anywhere. We enjoyed the DJ downstairs for a while and then the rooftop bar was amazing.... Rooms were spotless!! i loved the bathroom! I will be back for sure!

It took forever to check in. The room was nice but small. lots of commotion on the street.

Thanks for the feedback Ricardo and sorry to hear you felt shortchanged. We certainly believe with all the hotels extra amenities, like rooftop pool and bar, restaurant, lobby bar, cafe, gift shop, 24hour gym, free wifi and onsite laundry our value exceeds our rooms alone.

Couldn't agree more friend, and we will be readily addressing this with our team. Our "hostel" breakfast is simple and a quick grab n go for those in the shared rooms (so nothing to special) but certainly allowing those who have ventured down to the shared kitchen with their breakfast bracelets is never a big issue. Apologies for that, but hanks for bringing to our attention so we can address and safe travels the rest of your journey!
