Pleasant stay, loved the murals on building and in the rooms

There was a cockroach in our bathroom so I went to the front desk and the man said his name was Rickp or something like that but he wasn't really concerned. I told him I wanted another room and he said they were full. I told him someone needed to come and kill the roach and he told me in 10 minutes. I waited and he got angry. He finally went to my room and took a picture of it then called his manager, Eshreqi. He did not apologize or even kill the roach, he just wanted me out of his face. I asked for a refund and he said I would have to talk to the mgr but he would not call him back so I could talk to him. Needless to say I did not spend the night there nor did they refund any money to me. If you want to sleep with COCKROACHES stay at this motel.

This was a neat experience! The rooms were very clean and it was perfect for the overnight stay we needed. Close to many attractions in Hollywood.

Excellent family room with 3 large double-bed. Easy for a 6 people !

Younger guests having fun woke me up kind of early but they were nice kids. Staff very nice and pointed me down the street to a great Armenian bakery. The Hotel has good Thai food in reach as well and is just east of Hollywood sites. You

I wouldn't stay there again because it doesn't have elevators . I had to carry my luggage to the 3rd floor. The street outside , the sidewalk was so dirty. I felt like I was in a bad neighborhood. The room was clean. The staff was nice. I didn't take the car anywhere afraid of loosing my parking spot. Parking is limited.

Overall, I was pleased with my stay here. I loved the idea of celebrity themed rooms, but just having a celebrity painted on the wall (mine was Lucy!) was kind of a letdown. It would have been fun if there was more to this idea. The major problem that I had with my stay was the staff. I arrived with two large suitcases, and asked the desk clerk with some help getting my suitcases to my room. I was told that the hotel did not have someone to help with that. I am a fairly petite woman, and it should have been obvious that I would need help with my bags, but the man at the desk didn't seem interested in helping me. Fortunately, as was struggling to get my bags upstairs, a man from another room saw me and offered his help.

There was a towels, a chair, cookies (oreo cookies) from previous guest. We slept on top of the cover, did bother to get in the sheet. It was dirty we did bother to take a shower there never again. Bad location..

Good location but very cheap, good thing we used it only to sleep.

We were looking for a cheap place to stay close by to Universal Studios, and this is it. Its pretty beat up, but it did just fine for our 2 nights. We just needed the room to shower and sleep. If your looking for a cheap place to just crash at night, this is it.

The room was large, nicely decorated, and very clean. Bed was comfortable; a small refrigerator we did not use ... would have preferred a coffee machine which the room lacked. Parking was just a few steps from our room . Many Thai and other ethnic restaurants within walking distance. The location is near the freeway . A basic continental breakfast to be taken to your room....small trays would have been convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nothing fancy, very basic, but for the money a very pleasant stay. We would stay there again.

This is the WORST hotel/motel I've ever stayed at! The room was dingy and had an awful and unidentifiable smell, and the staff was absolutely horrible and could not have been any ruder if they tried! The parking lot was ridiculously small and cramped, and they had far less parking spots than rooms. I actually dented my car getting into the stupidly designed parking spot under the first floor of the hotel, and the manager actually came out after seeing me struggle and started yelling at me for whatever reason! I would have been better off sleeping in my car. I will NEVER stay here again!

This motel was limited with there bath towels, bathroom tissue and not to mention the soda and ice machine was broken other then that it was fine, now would I stay there again....NO

It was ok

Internet never work in my room/ Sometimes we got just hot water or cold water but we never were able to mix it to get the appropriate temperature. I will never stay there again -- No heater at room

The hotel was alright. There was nothing great about it yet there was nothing terrible either. The Hotel staff was average nothing special. Cleanliness was average. There was no remote in the room we stayed in. There was some damage on the inside of the hotel room a big dent in the main door. The bathroom door didn't latch shut. But for the price thats about what you should expect. The hotel is not in the best part of town, It is not dangerous at all, just not the best part.

Despite their efforts to maintain a clean environment, the establishment could use a complete overhaul. The rug in my room was filthy and needs replacing. The TV's remote control was inoperable. The floorboards were weak and creaky. And, there was no hot water my entire long weekend there.

This is "Hollywood" Inn Express, not "Holiday" Inn Express. When I arrived, my heart sank. It was late, little time to find another room. Through [...], I had paid for three nights. The room was superficially clean, except for dark stain on the carpet near the door. The sheets were clean, and there is nothing else positive. The operator attempted to assure me, this was a 'family' place. It was not. There were voices into the night calling out rooms. Twice someone knocked on my door. There was not chain lock. The air conditioner blew the curtains open. The smoke-free room was not smoke free. In the morning, two prostitutes were at my door, attempting to wake up, their boss, in the room next to mine. He was so stoned he could not respond. Probably one of the worst hotel experiences of my life, right next to a Nairobi, Africa experience. [...]

the hotel was bad

Nightmare inn!!! The floor is very dirty, room is very small. A lot of noise at night. The staff is not professional, they could not find my reservation when I checked in. When I call the front desk, they kept me waiting for 5min and told me they only had 3 staff and they were busy!! I'd rather prefer days inn or motel 6. At least they are clean.
