Good location just besides Queensway tube station and good value overall. The breakfast was very basic (very continental in real 80's fashion) and room was very cold (it was -3 C outside). The hotel and room were very clean.

Hotel was very conveniently sited for our visit, right on Hyde park. Comfortable and clean room. Couple of old stains on bedding and net curtain, which looked old stains that were stubborn to remove, four make up marks on one of the hand towels, but not too big a problem,we just put it to be re-washed. Continental breakfast which was adequate. Free WiFi which wasn’t brilliant, but I’ve never yet stayed in a hotel with excellent WiFi anyway

Came here the same time last year...... same result, cheap (as we don't book a fri/sat night), useful (2 tube stations around the corner) (Hyde park for walking). Quiet street as its all hotels. £52 a night , bargain.(breakfast not included, but has fridge in room)

This is the second time we have stayed at the Troy. Again we had an enjoyable stay. My partner and I stayed for 4 nights and were drawn back to the ideal location with 2 tube stations close by and £52 a night tariff. It's quite a dated hotel but is clean and welcoming. We were in room 204 and had a good sized room, comfortable double bed, fridge, kettle, TV and bathroom with a shower. The room was clean, fresh sheets and towels everyday and tea and coffee replaced regularly. We didn't have breakfast as we make use of the fridge and take our own cereal. The TV signal wasn't brilliant (mainly BBC1) but we found the WiFi okay. Another great stay. We will definitely return if the price is good.

Listen, if you are traveller on a medium budget and you wish to stay overnight in the Bayswater area you cannot demandt luxury. This hotel is no frills but is clean and functional. The rooms are smallish but there is a telly and a shower, tea and coffee and the beds are comfy. The breakfast choice is limited but quite acceptable. When you are charged only 60 quid or so for B&B in this part of London you could have no complaints about this hotel.

We stayed here recently over christmas. The location was great Two blocks underground and Queensway. Rooms are small but cozy. Comfortable beds. Bathrooms.are small and shower would not accommodate a large complaint about as weak WiFi signal. BreAkfast was adequAte boiled eggs, cereals, Rolls, and coffee. Would stay there again based on location.

Stayed here for 1 night from the 13th-14th December to attend a concert in Highbury & Islington (about 20 minutes away on the tube) A lot cheaper than any other hotel in London & less than a 5 minute walk to the tube station. As a single traveller, I decided to opt for a double bedroom for the night. Bedroom quite spacious but rather dated decor. However bathroom looked pretty new and included a Jacuzzi bathtub. Did try to use this but was making a lot of noise after 15 minutes with nothing happening so not sure what was wrong. Bathroom also had a power shower installed - very powerful and a nice temperature :) Could hear people in other rooms using the shower but didn't bother me. Wifi decent. Breakfast choice is: 2 cereals (coco pops & Cornflakes) with UHT milk. Tea/coffee and hot chocolate facilities. A variety of yoghurts. Croissants. Hard boiled eggs and toast with jam. Would have liked some fresh fruit as a choice of breakfast Would stay again but breakfast could have a bit more choice. However it filled me up until I got back home to Manchester.

Stayed a couple of nights, comfortable room decent continental breakfast 10 minutes walk to Marble Arch and Hyde Park I S at the end of the road. Reasonable price too. Only downside was the shower was very small.

I can't fault this place for the price at all, it's generally quite alright. However, the breakfast wasn't that great. In fact they may as well have not bothered. Not a great deal of variety at all. Also, my room was right next to the Latvian centre next door, and they had a choir/music group playing from about 1800 till after 2100. It was louder than my TV. There could have been worse things to hear, but it does grate a bit to have songs of praise forced upon you. Also... WiFi is pretty poor. Drops out regularly.

Stayed at the hotel, for a business trip. Ideal location for getting around, centralised Had a fridge nothing in it, but room was adaquate. Shower was quite small, not suitable for disabled people, as lift is small. Breakfast was OK for what you get.
