You get what you pay for in London. This is the place to sleep over nothing else. Location is very good and there is lot of pubs and restaurant in the walking distance. Breakfast, well you can not call it breakfast. You can skip it if they take extra. Rooms, they are small, but clean enough.....for business it is ok.
Close to the Queensway Station within 1 minute, a quiet place to sleep and some good restaurants & pubs around. The room is tiny and clean with good service, receptionists are welcome and nice. we've stayed here for 3 nights, and it's really nice to have a joyful jogging in the Hyde Park if the weather permitted.
We stayed at Hotel Troy from 12 May to 16 May 2017. Room was decent size with a large cupboard and safe. The linen was clean. These are things that are important to us. The bathroom was interesting as it had the smallest shower cubicle we have ever seen, possibly 2' X 2' with the best shower pressure ever! I wonder if a heavy set person would fit!! For us it was good enough! Breakfast was standard continental and we wanted it early one day and got it. The location is excellent for two reasons; there ate two tube stations within 10 minutes walk, Queensway and Bayswater and a variety of eating places astride Queensway as also M&S, Sainsbury's and Tesco. Food was thus never a problem. And when free, nothing like a walk in Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park, just a 100 meters away. The only downside was the rather moody looking staff who obviously were not what one expect from the hospitality industry. However they were functional.
Fantastic hotel in a great location. Rooms are comfy and quite Just a few minutes walk from Queensway or Bayswater tube station station. Also on a bus route to all the tourist spots. I would definitely recommend this hotel
This hotel is close to two Tube stations and even closer to Kensington Gardens. The room my husband and I stayed in was nice and clean. The shower is tiny, but the water pressure is good. Our room faced the street, and though it's not a particularly busy street, noise did carry. Wifi was spotty. Breakfast was simple, but good enough and definitely better than nothing. I'd stay again for sure.
Had a wonderful day here during Easter holidays , very well located , a double room was big with a desk and couch ! A proper double room not a london one ! Just wonder if I was upgraded for free ... i was on the 1st floor, no view but a strong wifi .... yeeees I liked the renewed bathroom with bathtub and wood I will definitely come back ! Well... breakfast is a bit poor and they can do better ... but If included in the deal , no worries ... i dealt with it ;)
Nice, clean, comfortable, okay breakfast and really good value for money. Marlble bathroom, spotless every day, nice staff, close to the underground and buses and lovley Kensington Gardens. What can I say. I am really pleased with my choise of hotel and will definelely be back!
Stayed for 5 nights in this hotel with my partner. We'd stayed in the area previously so knew it was close to two tube stations. There are a couple of well know small supermarkets in the high street, a few bars, coffee shops etc and some restaurants. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to Kensington Gardens. We were in room 105 and it was perfectly fine for our needs. Large bed - king size at least, clean bedding, fridge, TV (reception wasn't great) tea/coffee facilities and a big bathroom with bath/ shower, shaver socket. Clean towels everyday. The wifi worked great. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel so can't comment. We had a limited view from the window as we were at the back of the hotel but this was fine as we had no street noise and were hardly in the room anyway. In fact there was very little noise at all during our stay. We would definitely stay here again if the price was right. At £52 a night you can beat it.
Saw the write ups on this hotel, it was a chance I'm glad I took. What a bargain £260 for 5 nights, Sunday to Friday. To start, it has two tube stations within a couple of minutes walk. Hyde park and Kensington gardens 50 yards away at the end of the street. Loads of shops/pubs/restaurants in the same street as the tubes. The room we stayed in has a king size bed, fridge, jet whirlpool bath, plenty of storage etc. It was next to the lift and we were worried that there would be noise from it, to our relief never heard anything. The window overlooked other rooms but with nets and curtains, privacy was maintained. No noise coming from outside. We didn't book breakfast, as we use porridge pots from a well known store(39p). All in all our stay in London was brilliant!!!
As I was busy and out most of my days in London, I was looking for simple but clean room with a single bed and bathroom for an affordable price. The Troy Hotel was perfect at £50 for the night. The bathroom was also a bit updated, which was nice. I liked that breakfast was included although I left too early to partake. I'd stay again.
