Very nice pub located on the edge of Clapham Common. We went in for a late lunch and a couple pints. The place was packed as England was playing rugby that afternoon. We managed to get seated right away and had a great meal. We had the Avocado on charred toast with a poached egg which was the best dish. The salt beef sandwich was just OK and there wasn't much meat and it was quite tough to chew. The beers were nice. I recommend a visit.

First stayed here two years ago and were not disappointed again. Lovely clean and beautiful rooms. Very comfy bed. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Check in and out speedy. Good service all round. Highly recommend and will definitely be staying again.

The Windmill Clapham is a delight. My husband and I arrived and were quickly escorted to our room without any issues. The room (2) was clean, well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The lotions, hair products and soap were luxurious and smelled amazing. At night we would end our day with a drink from the bar, which was always full of laughter and games. This time of year they have mulled cider, which I totally recommend, and a full range of cask ales. We did not choose to have breakfast at their restaurant, but we did have lunch, which was delicious. The restaurant's decor is a sight to behold. Splendid. Lastly, Max, the hotel dog was such a treat. He was such a good boy (and so big!). He is lovely and greeted us every morning down the hall from our room. He was the cherry on top! I highly recommend staying here. It's clean, friendly, cheerful, and the location is great.

We visited The Wellington with family, five adults and two children for Sunday dinner. We hadn’t booked but my niece managed to grab a table. I was very impressed with the service. There were young ladies on the floor keeping an eye out on the customers and responding quickly to our needs. We had two roast dinners m, one veg wellington, one child’s roast, I shared the hummus and lemon soaked olives and toast with my husband and he shared his calamari with me. All excellent taste and quality. Calamari nice and soft not stringy. The tiniest child had a high chair. Very busy pub and I can understand why. Toilets clean despite the pressure on them. You can eat outside as well.

Stayed for 1 night. Loved Clapham! Sunday afternoon the pub was buzzing with dog walkers and their dogs, footballers, and cyclists. A great choice of beers and mulled wine thrown in! The hotel was very comfy and luxurious and quiet. Full breakfast, lots of choice, would like to return.

Lovely, lively, quirky hotel. Have stayed here often. However, the service at breakfast was appallIng on this occasion. Having checked with reception that breakfast finished at eleven on Saturdays, four of us met for breakfast just after ten. We were not greeted or acknowledged in any way by either Monica or Tiarna, our two breakfast waitresses. Eventually one of them came up and grunted ‘Do you want tea or coffee?’ She then took around 15 minutes to bring our drinks to us, during which time we had made our way to the somewhat depleted cold buffet. We had to ask for more glasses for juice which were plonked down with no acknowledgement. There was only natural yogurt on offer and this had run out, so I asked one of the waitresses for some more, and was told very curtly ‘There’s none left.’ We then had to ask them to take our hot food order. Breakfast eventually arrived. We had to ask for more butter as there was only one portion for four of us. Then we asked for sauce which she forgot to bring so we had to ask again. Each time she left our table she took no used bowls or plates away which would have been the normal way of clearing as you go. Breakfast itself was ok but the buffet table should certainly have been replenished, It was the unfriendly, somewhat belligerent, attitude of the two waitresses that spoilt it. They obviously didn’t want to serve us and got no pleasure out of doing so. They definitely let this excellent, vibrant hotel down on this trip.

Ate here with family on very dour day and was glad to be let into pub to eat with the dog after a walk from Clapham Junction in a drizzle. Bar area was very busy with sporty types off the common but there was a nice in between area for eating in front of restaurant. Menu had good range of dishes. My “all day breakfast fry-up” was excellent and not over-facing. Other dishes were also very tasty, not much left for the dog. Good lunch spot!

Well appointed rooms in quirky Victorian building. Conservatory with glass roof for breakfast, and main dining room with open wood fire at times. Midway between Clapham Common and Clapham South tube stations it is a ten minute walk, but has parking if arriving by road. Food was varied, good value and well served. All staff friendly and eager to please. A very pleasant stay.

We had Room 32, a quiet room with a view of the common. Up 2 flights of stairs but well worth the effort. Very comfortable and spacious with a re-vamped new bathroom.A mere 600 m to Clapham South underground and 20 min to central London. A good spot to escape the busyness of the city yet easily accessible to London. A good affordable breakfast available and a great adjacent pub for a pint. Comes well recommended! The hotel is lovely. The neighborhood is a quick tube ride to downtown London. We really enjoyed our strolls in the park and on the quaint side streets. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They took our bags and aranged an early check in as we landed very early in the morning. The breakfast was good and we really enjoyed the pub. The room was super comfortable. A rainshower head in the bathroom with super hot water and good preasure. The bed was not too firm and the pillows were not too thin, common issues for us in Europe. I would absolutly stay here again.
