We visited this rare example of how a British pub should be. Well located in Clapham South near the Common and it has several offerings that would cater to most visitors. Besides great bars, it has excellent dining areas and a large outside area for visitors to enjoy the summer days. I understand that it also has a number of well presented rooms for those who may wish to stay there. Very good staff across the hotel provided great service and we were very satisfied with our meals and drinks. Very relaxing environment for a couple of hours of enjoying each other's company. Recommended.
This place is epic. Perfect for business overnighters. Staff are great, service brilliant Easy stays, no fuss and high standards. Would defo recommend, whilst looking to stay in the Clapham area or similar
Our third visit to this lovely boutique hotel to visit our son and daughter in law who live in the area. We had a lovely relaxing weekend despite the soaring heat thanks to the air conditioning. Lovely, comfortable, well equipped and stylish room. There is absolutely no noise from the pub despite live music and a very busy summer weekend. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The on site car park has always had spaces when we have visited and there is plenty of free weekend parking all around the area.Monica in the dining room looked after us very well at breakfast as always and even recognised our son and daughter in law who came to join us for breakfast and arrived before us. Thank you again! We will be back!!
Visiting London to meet up with our sons, one of whom recommended thee Windmill. Vibrant pub on edge of Clapham Common, but rooms to rear overlooking the Common were first class - spacious, well appointed and quiet. Very comfortable bed, good shower with nice toiletries. Breakfast very good are reasonably priced. Excellent location with nearby Northcote Road and Abbeville Road for good dining options.
We had a normal stay in this hotel unfortunately some misleading information in the room. If a small sign says eat me and drink me you could presume that those goods are offered as a gift. Unfortunately again later on we saw everything has its price. Some small details in the room as mentioned on the pictures aren’t done that professional. In the restaurant the promised grilled artichokes weren’t on my plate nevertheless it was stated on the menu. In one of the previous questions where the manager has been asked if the beds are big enough. The manager answered they were all king-size. Unfortunately I need to see this is not the case. Beautiful pub and great location. Enjoyed the food and general atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Staff member Lisa made our evening, first class service and great fun .Friends from Spain were over visiting and Lisa able to translate and made our evening and their holiday very memorable. We will be visiting again soon , and guests from Spain have already planned their next visit.
What a great little hotel in a beautiful part of London— somehow keeps a lovely little town and hotel feel. Service was excellent, the atmosphere great— very quaint— and the rooms and comfort exceptional
What a brilliant hotel, great bar, excellent staff. From the second we arrived from reception to rooms to bar everything was perfect. And the unexpected touch of a couple of miniature bottles of pink gin and the card congratulating my wife on completing the Moonwalk made the whole thing even more special for her. Many many thanks and we will definitely use you again when we are up for the weekend Steve Ps loved Max the chilled out dog
