The room felt rather neglected. There was no space between the toilet and the sink, so the sink was practically in your face when sitting on the loo. The pillowcases were stained and the net curtains were noticeably grubby. It all feels in need of an update. That said, the beds are very comfortable and the location is excellent and peaceful.

Front desk staff were kind enough. The rooms are filthy!!! It starts with the stairs leading to your room that need to be vacuumed. The bathroom was gross-the top of the toilet was clearly not cleaned. The shower doors were wiped but not clean. The bedroom itself was also gross-the counter space with the kettle needs to be wiped clean, the bed is OLD and the bed is made with a top sheet and there is no mattress cover. The mattress is old and clearly dirty with crumbs and gross stuff from not using proper bedding. The pillowcase has yellowed. The walls throughout the room are gross and need washing. The power fixture next to the bed is loose. The full length mirror was dirty. Guests check in at all hours and it is loud. You can hear everything from your neighbours. All in all, better can be found, not worth the money.

Convinient location however pretty worn down and room was right under a trainline so pretty loud. They also charge 5 pounds to hold you bag and they tried to charge me twice.

Perfect for what we wanted

Perfect for what we wanted. A very small room but we weren’t spending time there so it didn’t matter. The receptionist was very helpful and moved us to a first floor room on request. The room was spotlessly clean.

Great location…but

Location, location, location!!! Nice neighborhood near Victoria Station. Near pubs, stores, etc. But…3rd floor sucks after a day of walking the city. Also- the toilet situation is a challenge. We could not sit on the toilet without arms in the sink. It’s a tight squeeze- not for the faint of heart.

For a no frills hotel, very impressed. Small room but we only needed it for sleeping, excellent shower and working air conditioning and WiFi. Excellent location, 30 min walk into the West End.

When we arrived there was a paper notice on the door: we had to go across the road to another hotel to check in. The guy didn’t take my name or booking reference, just handed me a slip of paper to fill out and gave me a random room key. Considering that I booked a deluxe double room, I wouldn’t have called it that myself. We were in LG3 - essentially, a cupboard in a basement. So small, the expression “no room to swing a cat” would be generous. The bed (“like lying on a tombstone” as per my fiancé): hard, tiny, yet only the smallest amount of floor space possible to actually walk around. There were stains on the bedding & curtains, hairs on the floor, dust coating the skirting boards, dirty cups & some sort of sticky residue on the bedside drawers - it didn’t appear to have been cleaned between our stay and the previous occupants’ (or the ones before that!). The view out of the window was a white wall with a yellow ladder leaning against it - I mean at this point what’s the point in having a window, I’m in the basement for Pete’s sake! The one good thing about it was the rainfall shower, but if it weren’t for that this would be the worst trip I’ve ever been on. There’s no evidence of there ever having been a reception, just an empty vending machine. In all honesty, it seems as though the hotel opposite bought this in order to have more rooms available, but used a different name for the building to avoid having to take responsibility for it. I certainly wouldn’t stay again.

Nice place to stay in central London
