The Good: Location, the beds, the breakfast, the decor The staff and customer service is uneven at best. I've been coming to this hotel for years. The desk staff are not trained well, and argue rather than assist guests when things are out of the ordinary. Unhelpful at best. You always have to get a Manager (most of whom are very well trained) who are not nearby, because their offices are in a different part of the hotel. And when things go wrong? Watch out. Electricity in our room stopped working. Once they discovered this, instead of figuring out another equivalent room (I had purchased an "Executive" room, and was by request on the 6th floor with a view), they kept me waiting, and finally put me on the 2nd floor in an "upgraded room" with no view. It took 2 hours to move me in the middle of a busy work day. It cost me money and time. And their staff was largely unapologetic for the inconvenience continually repeating that the electric issue wasn't their fault. If not the responsibility of the hotel, then whose? They offered a massage to compensate, and when I got to the spa, it was booked for just 20 minutes. Hardly worth the effort, and leaving me feeling more cheated. Bottom line: Bad customer service. Small fixes in training and attitude, and willingness to apologize (immediately...not just from their FB managers) will go a long way in making this a very good hotel, instead of an acceptable one with a good location.

The Hotel appears as a boutique hotel at Brompton Road. It is very near Royal Albert Hall, the V&A and the Natural History Museum. The closest tube station is South Kensington. There are also bus stops nearby. It is located in a rather quiet area, not near shops or restaurants, but not too far either. You just have to be prepared to walk a bit. The rooms were small and old fashioned, but in excellent condition. There were no signs of wear and tear and they were clean, but just old style. The bathroom was excellent. Updated sink and countertops and outstanding shower. The bed was exceptionally comfortable with multiple pillows and clean starched sheets. I especially appreciate they the hotel has adopted the sheet cover of the duvet. Each night it seemed the bed was clean and ready. The breakfast buffet each morning was also outstanding. The food was tasty and nicely presented. The only reason four instead of five stars was given related to the age, size, and "dowdiness" of the rooms, though as stated, there were clean and well maintained

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. South Kensington stop is literally 5 minutes away and is on the Piccadilly line. The staff is excellent and very friendly and helpful. They had our room ready at 11 am which was so nice since the kids were so tired. The breakfast buffet was at times busy but the staff did their best and I am amazed at how great they were in keeping all the food going and replenishing the items. The only issue I had is that the room was a little dated and not as modern as I had expected. But overall this was a terrific value and I would definitely stay here again.

So easy to go anywhere from here. Fantastic food, shops and the tube are steps away. Great staff. A true Victorian experience.

Wonderful and generous hospitality. Very impressed

Would stay again for sure. Clean and close to Metro and several museums.

The Rembrandt was awesome. The hotel staff at check in was efficient and pleasant. There was a computer with a printer in the lobby. I really liked that you had to use your room key to be able to press the floor button in the elevator! Breakfast was fresh looking, nicely prepared (& tasty!) each day; huge selection of foods. The room was amply big for three people. We had a Grand room (king bed and sofa bed) - no view, but we weren't in London to look at the view from the hotel. The bathroom was very nice. The tiles had no mold/mildew in the grout. There was counter space! The room temp was a bit difficult to regulate (too warm), but we were able to open the window to get just enough cool air in. The king sized bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. I really liked that there were complimentary bottles of water which were restocked every day. A nice touch was the umbrella in the closet - fortunately we did not need it during our stay!

Terrific staff. Hose keeper excellent. Great location. Very nice buffet.

I told the hotel when booking the room that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, when we arrived they had given us a very nice room with a bottle of wine and a small soap gift box. We really enjoyed our one night stay. Friendly staff.

Make sure you get the from you booked, as sometimes they will give u a classic room for an executive!!

Our twin bed room was new with great fitout and modern amenities. Quiet and spacious room and very helpful staff. Buffet breakfast was huge and you'll want for nothing. Close to South Kensington underground and Harrods.

The hotel was super clean and elegant. The staff was superb and accommodating. It was in a great location, especially if you want to tour the museums across the street or spend days in Harrod's. Tons of local pubs around to grab a great burger or some fish n chips. Cheers!

We enjoyed our seven night stay at The Rembrandt. The hotel provided us with a smart phone as part of our room, and it proved invaluable as a gps and we were even able to check in for our flights home while sightseeing on our last day. The location is wonderful. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the staff was kind and helpful. The only issue we encountered was with one staff member two mornings when arriving at breakfast. We didn't know we needed to check in before serving ourselves and I was surprised when she approached me and demanded our room number and my name. We saw her one other morning and she told us where to sit and was not gracious when I asked to sit elsewhere (the room was very empty). Her unpleasant demeanor was minimized by the positive experiences with the rest of the staff. We would stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel. Keep ALL your valuables in the safe because cash was taken from my wife's purse inside the room.

Like the location, room rate is reasonable. This evaluation is a pain.

Good. Room doors are very noisy to close. You constantly hear other guest doors being slammed shut. In dinning room, not enough staff to attend to the number 0f guests. Too much running about by the limited number of staff. Christmas Parties do interrupt the expectations of normal guests staying at the hotel and expecting service. I stayed for 14 days. This hotel does not deserve a 4 - Star

I have stayed at the Rembrandt on several trips to London, and will continue to book this hotel. The location is amazing, the staff are very polite, including the ones who come immediately to fix any problem at all in the room. The breakfast is always great value and good tasting. The appearance of the hotel is impeccable. I fell safe wheneverI travel alone.

This was our second visit to the Rembrandt, separated by more than a dozen years, and while the location is still the same (excellent) the hotel itself, accommodations and service, is much improved. We couldn't be happier with the choice and will pick it again on our next visit to London.

We stayed six days. The hotel is centrally located close to the tube and the V&A. The staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. The room we had was slightly small. The room could use more light by the window. Pablo the concierge was absolutely fantastic.

This is our second time to stay at the Rembrandt Hotel. Excellent. Beautiful location. Staff helpful. Great breakfast buffet.
