Very cheap stopover for London. If you are not fussed about all the modern conveniences then this is the place for you. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast in the cost. Easy access to road and rail connections.

The bed the first night was so worn down it was impossible to sleep. Staff let me test bed in six other rooms and we found an ok one. Corridors needed vacuuming more often. Saw the same dead wasp for three days. Don't want to think about the hygiene in taking your room key to the toilet and taking it back before washing hands in the room, then leaving it with the porter who touches several keys all day long. The kettle in the room was left with water in for a long time and smelled rotten. Found a sock and a computer mouse under the beds. Breakfast was ok, but bacon an eggs undercooked, and I don't see the need for a minimum of three waiters wandering around watching me eat, sometimes four. Time would be spend better cleaning corridors and rooms. Rooms so worn down and outdated, but if you want a cheap bed, it's the place. Just close your eyes. But staff were always friendly and helpful and always plenty.

Very basic hotel, good for young people and backpackers. In the upmarker Bloomsbury ares, just a few steps from Euston Station (handy for transport links) and the British Library, a short walk to the British Museum and the various University of London colleges and libraries. Rooms need maintenance and refurbishment. Yet the standard is average for London.

I have used this hotel dozens of times over the years. It offers value for money. The staff are fantastic and friendly. If you want luxury go to the Ritz. This group has value hotels for every budget, the county being the cheapest. Go to the Tavistock, Imperial, Bedford etc if you want en-suite. This is the best hotel in London for location and cost. It is Walking distance to soho/ oxford street. A shared bathroom/toilet for every 4 rooms, how much of your hotel stay will be in the loo? As I said great value for money

Very much a budget hotel, two nights b&b, with free dinner thrown in for £91, (No dining at hotel, use other hotels within group) didn't make dinner tho, missed Saturday night due to being at event, tried to get date changed to take brother on sunday, big flat NO. Was I impressed? No. Did I get what I was expecting? Not quite. Would I go back? No. Room was very, very basic. Comfy bed all the same. Was on the top floor (7) as the girl said there would be views....... Of the building accross the lane & tops of building work! Very, very old fashioned & threadbare room. Would hate to stay here on a cold winters night, window would not be much help. The hotel is no ensuite rooms, each 'wing/corridor' has two shower/bath rooms & two toilets. Well I say toilet, to say they are small....... I am a big guy, but my gawd, they were tight fitting....... The shower/bath room was spacious, however, flow of water from the shower was hit, or miss! Just stops, turn off & back on again to get going again. To get a bit more room, I thought of going at the toilets outside the breakfast restaurant. I then thought better of it! It was hanging! Decent breakfast selection, along with staff.

Very disappointed In this hotel not only where the rooms so old the windows wouldn't open but smelled as old as the 1940's carpet was!. Upon arrival the outside looked like the building was derelict, went into the room and it looked like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks, the tea cups and the kettle where thick with dust and the 10" box tv had the wrong remote control to it? What's the point in putting the tv in there! The shower facility's may as well not be there as you'd be cleaner not showering then using the communal showers! Finally pulled back the bed sheets to find mould on the bottom sheet! It seemed as if we had been given a room that hadn't be used in months without being cleaned. Although it was £80 a night in London I wasn't expecting much at all but I at least expected it to be of a general clean standard. Unfortunately I can comment on the breakfast that's included with this hotel room as I didn't hang around to find out. If the kitchen was anything like the rest of the hotel I think I made the right decision by taking a miss on it! Will not be returning and I'd advise anyone else to keep searching instead of booking this hotel! Emailed the imperial hotel an told them of my stay and currently still awaiting a reply.......

Quiet w no noise from party guests as other nearby hotel was back when stayed there a while back & Central located not expensive Hotel in London with own television, tea coffee making facilities & chair/desk in your own room \ & good English style breakfast served in the morning downstairs \ But share shower & toilet - though no trouble waiting for them to be free & next door to my hotel room / see Facebook crime & business magazine for photo room / link on tweet @h_siris}

Stupidly booked without looking at the pictures, don't think the hotels has had any work done for quiet a few years, when we tried to check out after only just checking the receptionist just smiled like she'd heard it a 1000 times before and said she couldn't refund our money as we didn't book direct. The room doors are all spring loaded so once a nice inconsiderate piss head decides to Slam the door at 3-4am I can guarantee your awake along with the paper thin windows there isn't much chance of getting back to sleep. The lights above the beds were 4ft fluorescent fittings which would be more suitable for a small kitchen rather than light reading. Oh and the light switch above the bed turned the Tv off😂😂 A homeless person would probably knock the breakfast back. Credit where it's due though the shower was brilliant Thanks

This hotel is ideal for being close to the Stations, but that about all. I have stay in 2 0ther Imperial hotels & they was fine. The bedroom was all that clean even though the bed & sheets looked clean. There was musty in the room, the tv did not work but then that's not a problem because you wouldn't wish to stay in your room long. If you do need the loo in the night then its a walk down the corridor & for a shower if you are brave. Breakfast was ok.

Stay here on most trips to London ....Basically you get what you pay for..If you want a little luxury in central London, Go Elswhere and be prepared to pay accordingly. The County cannot be beaten pricewise for a central location, and a superb breakfast...
