Nice hotel in a good area, 2 minute walk from a tube station too. Staff were lovely and allowed us to check in early, room was more than comfortable, only negative was that the bath wouldn’t hold water and constantly drained.

This is a lovely Grande Dame property - lots of marble and ornate gold fittings - with lovely spacious rooms, but overall for a relatively expensive 5* hotel (I stay in hotels around this area often) we felt it could do with a bit of TLC. The telephone in the room was not working, the shower delivered only scalding hot water, and there was no plug in the bathtub, and the a/c humming was quite loud throughout the night. Very helpful and friendly staff though.
