Stayed here thinking it was more central and we're worried about how far from the main attractions it was. But the very helpful staff explained the transport options. Turns out that the 170 bus direct to and from Victoria was very convenient and nicer than the underground - picks up and drops off right outside the hotel! Staff are helpful, rooms are fine and food was good.
Had a stunning room here, which a bath that faced the Thames! Reasonably priced considering the quality of this hotel. Huge room, lovely staff, gorgeous decor - couldn't rate higher and have recommended to friends. Would stay here again.
I visited this hotel as I was attending Wimbledon 2017. The hotels location was excellent as it was just a couple of mile from both Wimbledon and London city centre. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant had a great panoramic view along the River Thames. We also upgraded to a 2 bedroom, 2 storey apartment with river and city views. I would certainly recommend this hotel and will hopefully be visiting again soon.
I travel a lot and stay in Hotels a good deal of the time during. I had an appointment in a London Hospital the next day and found availability at the Rafayel. I have never come across the Rafayel before but found this hidden gem and I must say everything about it was top quality. I had an excellent room, wonderful bathroom, very good quality free internet (which is SO important now). Couldn't get river views, but made up for that when I visited the restaurant and ate al fresco by the river. I also used the Spa. It was so relaxing and everyone was so professional and friendly. I was pretty nervous about the hospital visit the next day and also not feeling great as a lone traveller, eating on my own... Hate it... but not that unusual when you travel a lot on business. After sitting alone for a little while I was aware that a lady on another table had instructed the waitress to ask me for my order and get me a drink. I didn't know then that her name was Trudy and she was the Guest Relations Manager of the Hotel. She was actually on her day off, with a couple of friends! It was a small gesture but it made all the difference for me and made me feel much more comfortable. I think the Rafayel is a gem and the staff are excellent. I have already recommended it to a couple of business associates
Absolutely amazing hotel x Such a friendly hotel.. the staff couldn't do enough for us, if you asked for something they made sure you had it within minutes. The restaurant/bar overlooks the Thames with beautiful views of the boats passing by and also the helipad.. we could sit outside with our own heater and blankets if it got chilly x the food is excellent and we even became friends with the manager who was so friendly x our room was huge especially for saying we are in London.. there's a television in the luxury bath in the room where I got to relax after a long day at Wimbledon 🎾 x I will definitely be returning to this hotel and possibly sooner than I had planned as I enjoyed it so much
When I was making the reservation, the hotel pictures looked very nice and I was confident that since this was a 5 stars hotel, it will meet my expectations. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I realized that I was completely wrong for several reasons: 1. The hotel is only the first 3 floors. I repeat "Yes" only the first 3 floors and the rest are residential apartments. For this, I felt the pictures were very deceiving. 2. We spilled water on the bed and and when room service came to change the cover, the mattress looked awful. Lots of stains, hair and you name it .... Disgusting!!! 3. I do not think the sun have seen the room that i stayed in. The carpet had a strong smell. 4. I did not have key for parking. This means that every time I had to leave the garage or come back, I have to ask the front desk and they will send someone to help me. ' 5. The women at the front desk was extremely rude. No concierge service or any support at all if you are looking for any.
I visited the hotel, my stay was a very pleasant one. I had a relaxing stressfree time. Hotel is very nice. The bar ambience was nice, the view from the bar was lovely at night. My room was lovely. Trudy the manager lovely lady, very welcoming and friendly. The owner of the hotel introduced himself very warm and lovely guy. I would definitely recommend and visit the hotel again.
Have stayed here for few long periods for work in London. The hotel and apartments are great ,luxurious ,prompt service , free shuttle to/from stations .Staff are very accommodating and answer to everything is yes .Room service quick ,rooms well serviced ,sheets changed daily, they know how to do five star very well. Food very good quality ,dry cleaning service, they try to accommodate so stay is stress free and enjoyable, spa is great .
The only negative about our whole experience in this hotel was the lighting. It is so dark everywhere you go. It is especially annoying in the rooms, especially when one is trying to apply makeup. Well situated, pleasant staff, lovely modern rooms, clean and a very comfortable bed, but the lighting really dampened our whole experience, and I unfortunately wouldn't return here on my next trip to London, which is a shame. The rooms were perfect except for the lighting which is why I rated it terrible.
I've stayed here a few times now. It's a lovely modern hotel and even better if you get a room with a river view which a lot of them do. Rooms are large and well equipped. It can be a bit noisy during the day due to being next to the helipad and under Heathrow's flight path but quiet at night. Nice bar and outdoor seating area overlooking the river. Staff are polite and helpful and there is an underground car park. Walking distance to Clapham Junction station.
