The property was very close to many of the sites we were interested in seeing. Also, the property was very quite which was a very pleasant surprise.

Con: Very small single room, though typical for London - doubles are much larger. Extremely narrow corridors. Also the bedding was a bit lumpy. Pro: Good service, good breakfast, good location, a rubber mat in the shower stall, USB ports and plenty of convenient outlets. Also a teapot, though that's well-hidden in the desk drawer. All in all, a cut above other London budget tourist hotels.

Great value for the money, clean comfortable room and hot shower. Just be aware there is not a refrigerator in the room. The staff was especially friendly and helpful. Location very close to the tube station but on a quieter side street. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located in a super quiet and safe area, conveniently located near two tube stops just down the road and several bus lines. After a long day of seeing the sights, it's great to come back to a comfortable and quiet place that also has great wifi and tv options.

Do NOT go to this hotel in the summer. They don't have AC!

The hotel lobby is very nice and air conditioned, but the room although clean was very small with a very, very small bathroom. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning and it was very hot. The window only opens a small amount in the basement, and there were no window screens. For me, this is real problem, but at least there was a fan in the closet to plug in. When we first checked in to our room, there was a chandelier falling out of the ceiling right above one of the beds, hanging by wires. The staff did fix it right away when it was brought to their attention. The breakfast was very good, better then a typical continental breakfast and the staff all tried to be helpful. Very good location.

Hotel was cute and quant, staff at front desk was friendly and helpful. The hotel location was less then a 5min walk to the tube, Kensington Palace, pubs, stores and restaurant's!! Felt very safe walking around at night. Breakfast was good, fruit, selection of breads, juices, cereal etc....

This hotel is well connected to other places as it is very near to Bayswater tube station. Rooms are neat and comfortable.

The Phoenix is in a convenient location, cloe to multiple metro stops. I found the staff helpful and the hotel clean. I had a single room which was very small. If you can deal with a small hotel room the Phoenix is a great value.

About what I was expecting for size of the room. Bathroom tiny too. Good breakfast and clean lobby

Hotel room was clean which is key and the free breakfast was super convenient. The bed was a bit old, stiff. Room size was standard for Europe which was fine, we weren't there to hang out in the hotel. Staff was professional, not super friendly. Location was very conveniently close to a couple of underground stations and short walking distance to Kensington Palace/Hyde Park. A lot of restaurants, coffee shops and a Boots nearby.

The Phoenix was clean and quiet. Its a great place for a tourist that just needs a clean place to rest. The continental breakfast had a nice selection.
