The location was ideal ,a short walk from oxford street and the tube station which was a short walk from the hotel was only a couple of stops from the west end . The restaurant was good quality for money.
My mother visited London to celebrate her birthday and booked at the Sherlock upon my personal recommendation. With the unprecedented attention and service of Luana Giaveri, the hotel's front office manageress, I was able to arrange for chocolate covered strawberries and champagne to await my mother's arrival at the hotel. We live in Israel, yet despite the distance, Luana succeeded in arranging the special surpise complete with a birthday card that she filled in on my behalf based on the greetings message relayed to her. I also understand that she added a birthday balloon to the gifts I ordered and that also thrilled my mother considerably. This is the kind of personal service that the Sherlock stands for and I wouldn't have expected anything less. Luana also introduced herself personally to my mother and I am sure is now taking close care of her and making her stay memorable. The Sherlock Holmes is a wonderful hotel, location location location, comfort and joy. My heartfelt gratitude to you.

Treat my partner to a weekend away to London for his 60th birthday to go to Lords cricket ground to see The England Test match. Hotel is a steady 15 minute walk away. From arriving at the hotel to leaving, the staff couldn't do enough for us! Hotel and room were lovely! we booked for a superior room and on arrival we were upgraded to an executive room with a complimentary glass of bubbles . We would recommend the breakfast, there was plenty of variety to choose from. The bar area was lovely to sit and relax after a busy day. Hotel is 3 minutes walk to the nearest tube station to get to all areas of London. All in all a very pleasant stay and would definately return and also recommend.
This hotel is perfectly located in London and you are in walking distances to central London shopping. You also have the Subway close by were you have 3 lines to chose from. The people working at this hotel is friendly and helpful and service minded. Good size rooms.
It was very varm in London so it was good to be in an air-conditioned room. We had a room on the 4th floor, which was really good. Modern bathroom. Just 5-7 mins walk to Oxford Street and 2-5 mins to the tube station.
Here with colleagues following a long day at the office. We needed good, quick and tasty food. We got reasonable, slow and average food with a set of waiters who seemed to have no idea what quick service was. They wandered about for ages before they took our order and took even longer once we'd ordered something. I understand that this restaurant is primarily for hotel guests and maybe they want a long, languid dining experience BUT we wanted something a bit swifter and the staff seemed to have no idea. The food itself was fine - I had a very tasty swordfish - but overall this was overpriced for what it was and the service was so slow
Although this hotel is very well-located (convenient to Tube, Regent's Park, playground close by if you have small children), it could use an update; some peeling paper and worn looking moldings/carpet/etc. We had a studio room (double bed plus pull-out couch) for family of 4 and it was a bit cramped. Don't pay extra for the breakfast--it was terrible and expensive. You're much better off grabbing a pastry at Pret down the block or going to one of the many good restaurants in the neighborhood.
We stayed for 2 nights on a room only basis. Location for us was fantastic as we wanted to be on Baker Street and near Hyde Park. We arrived early and they did have a room ready however the room, M10, seemed exceptionally small and dark, the furniture was damaged and chipped and also had a scruffy rug, not sure what that was hiding. We told reception that we were not satisfied with the room and they were helpful and showed us a couple of other rooms and we decided to change. The room we eventually took was a good size and had all the usual items that you would expect. Although functional we did feel that the room was a bit uninspiring. It was fairly average in terms of décor. The furniture seemed somewhat worn. The bathroom also seemed a bit dated, tiling and grouting could do with a refresh. The bed was comfy and air con was great on some very hot nights. The location was perfect but the room was just average and even though it is central London for the price we would have expected more.
The staff at the hotel was very accommodating and most helpful to my son who was to begin studying at a nearby a University. The room was clean and spacious and the food was delicious. Many thanks for making his introduction to London a very positive experience.
