The hotel is in a good location and not as expensive as some of the hotels near by but that comes with a host of its own problems. The bathroom was nice and clean, but the rest of the room felt cramped and even the hallways were narrow, which made carrying suitcases a cumbersome. While, I am of the mind that you often 'get what you pay for' it was problematic that there was no toilet paper in my room when I arrived and that the wifi required a login (not the hotels network). Additionally, there was only a single room key for our room despite there being 3 of us, so going and coming independently was difficult. They did have a single computer but I did not see a printer so I didn't bother asking about printing boarding passes. And the lobby area was basically just a single couch so we didn't feel comfortable utilizing it as it was also basically right at the main door. All in all, it was an ok experience, but I expected better considering that there are airbnb's for about this price.
A wonderful small hotel in a good but quite location, only few minutes walk from the underground station; nicely decorated. Breakfast was fine; staff polite and helpful; very clean everywhere; the single room I had was quite small, but this is the case in every hotel in London
I took a single room, I wouldn't do that again. Don't get me wrong, the bathroom was a good size, the room at it's best would have been lovely, it was just a bit tired and could do with a spruce up. It could really do with a new bed though, I am 6ft, not huge but my feet were over the end of the bed and the cover didn't seem to manage to fit me or the bed. I guess it was good that the room was so warm, even after opening a window all day and putting on the AC The staff seemed to be pleasant in the downstairs Cafe Bar, but they didn't really come out of the kitchen long enough and out of the 3 times I went in, twice I had to go to the door and ask for someone. The lift I wouldn't like to ride with more than 2 or 3 people, it had such a bounce it felt like the cables were stretching. I have bad knees and still preferred to take the stairs. Water pressure was great though, it was a lovely hot bath/shower in the room. All in all, it's a nice place that could do with a little TLC, new beds and a little attention from the staff. Would I stay there again, yes I would because I don't hang around in the room very much but I would probably ask for a double to get a bigger bed.
Good location. Near the tube (Picadilly line) and you can walk to the V&A museum and History and Science museums. The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was very nice and comfortable. The toilet was all new, the shower was the best. I think this is a great choice for a trip to London.
I stayed at the hotel last weekend for two nights. The location is perfect just 10 minutos walking to the nearest tube station ,is very quiet at night and the staff is great...I definitively will come back
Lovely clean hotel with pleasant, helpful staff who attended to our needs straight away. The beds were comfortable, however, please check that if you're booking a family room (like I did) to make sure you check that all beds are suitable for adults. I booked a family room for myself, my husband and my son as they were running in the London Marathon. To my horror there were two single beds and squashed between them both was a folding bed which left me no room at either side to get into. I had the two worst nights sleep ever. the bed sank right down the middle which prevented me from moving and to top it all, it collapsed during the night leaving me sleeping at a tilt. I asked them to change it the next morning, which they did, only to get a bed that did exactly the same. Other than this i would definitely stay in this hotel again.
The whole hotel is need of a refurb. Furniture pretty old although bathroom was quite new. The radiator in my room and the towel radiator did not work, I was supplied an electric heater which did not work. There was an air conditioning unit which did allow some warmth. No tea and coffee in the room, hadto ask for a tray from reception but it did have a minibar!!! Breakfast basic but ok. I would stay again but would not be high up my list.
First hotel of this type that I've stayed at, so comparisons are tough but no complaints. Friendly staff. Attached restaurant has above average continental breakfasts, but competition for neighborhood restaurants is stiff for other times. Easy access to museums. Would consider for follow-up visit.
This is my 10th time staying at the London Lodge. Staff (almost no turnover) is very obliging and helpful. I have only ever stayed in rooms facing the back - and those are all quiet. Breakfast is served in a pleasant room and is more than sufficient. Lobby is small but very pleasant. The hotel is situated 6 minutes from two tube lines - one of which is the tube to Heathrow, and the same from two bus lines to downtown. If one likes walking in nature - Holland Park is about 8 minutes away. If you are looking for a very well run mid-range hotel, very accessible to both downtown and Heathrow, in a very nice area (Earl's Court) - you should highly consider the London Lodge Hotel.
This cozy hotel with a stately look outside is very recommendable. The staff is very kind and helpful. It is situated in a quiet street not far from Earl's Court Road and its station. Room is very neat and clean. Hardly any disturbing noise from outside.
