Good location near Earl's Court Station. Lovely contintental breakfast and nice room. The staff was very friendly, everything was clean and you have the advantage of a quiet side street while being in the middle of London at the same time. For runners: I recommend having a run through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park!
A great place to stay when visiting London. Everything about here does the job. The staff are efficient and helpful. I feel when I am away I want a clean, tidy, peacfull and safe place to stay and here does the job. Only down side the room was very warm but that was no worries. Great place and a deffo stay again.
My partner and I booked a non-refundable executive suite for eleven nights, as I study in London and he was visiting from Australia. We had an awful experience here. 1.The Wotif booking website advertised our suite as 64 square metres. Please find attached screenshot. The suite we were in was no more than 25. 2.The internet frequently disconnected. We had to reconnect whenever we left and reentered the building, or whenever we closed our laptops and reopened them. Seeing as we were staying for eleven nights, this became quite tedious. 3.The room we were staying in was outdated and dirty. The carpet and the headboard were dull in colour and were stained. The pillow cases were loose fitting and came off during the night to reveal disgusting stains and old drool spots, these should be replaced immediately. The pictures of the suite online are misleading. 4.The Wotif website also advertised tea and coffee facilities. There were no facilities. Compared to every other hotel we have stayed in, we considered basic instant coffee, tea and a kettle to be a staple. 5.The Wotif website advertised laundry facilities AND a laundry/dry cleaning service. There were no laundry facilities, which was a key decider in my partner selecting this hotel to begin with, and the laundry service was extremely expensive. If the laundry service required an additional surcharge it should have been advertised on the website. Please see attached screenshot. Thankfully my university campus was a twenty minute walk away so we could go there to use the laundry. Lugging our laundry there twice during our stay was a tiresome inconvenience. 6.Our room was made up with dirty sheets. Upon arrival we noticed minor stains which we ignored the first time, but when our room was made up a couple days into our stay I went to climb into bed and noticed a mark that took up the parameter of my hand. It was textured and looked like snot. This is not acceptable. It is understandable that sometimes the washing machine does not remove all stains, but it was very noticeable and the fact somebody thought it was okay to leave that stain on a customers bed is absolutely disgusting. We called downstairs to get our sheets replaced, however we shouldn't have had to do so. 7.Finally, we stayed at the hotel for eleven nights. A king sized bed was advertised however what we were given was two single beds pushed together, and the beds were at different heights and with old springs which no longer support your back. This was extremely uncomfortable and my partner and I had to spend the duration of our stay sleeping on complete opposite sides of the beds. We emailed the above seven complaints to the manager, and after over a week we have not received any correspondence back. No offer for compensation for our terrible stay, not even an apology. There are a variety of hotels in the Kensington area that are a lot cheaper that have a lot more to offer. Do not waste your time and money on this hotel.
I recently completed a 19 night stay at the London Lodge Hotel - ( working close by during this time ). The service from all staff was 1st class throughout. I would highly recommend staying at London Lodge. Great location & excellent staff !
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times (starting in 2105) prior to my recent visit in March 2018. Service on this last visit had degenerated. WiFi was not available - it stopped functioning about 2/3 of my stay and I stayed approximately 16 days - I was told that a temporary fix was going to be up in place - but this temporary fix only lasted a day - my concerns about WiFi access were precipitated by family issues and needs at home in the US. When I ordered room service - the delivered tray did not always have the items for the meal as included on the room service menu; housekeeping ignored my requests regarding leaving a window open - after the housekeeper completed service - I was concerned since I was on a ground floor and was out of the room a good portion of the day - and this was proved to be a security concern of mine; the hotel arranged taxi service for me (selecting the service and time for my departure) - the first time this arrangement was made - the time was not sufficient for me to make my train and therefore had to purchase a second train ticket for an alternate journey - this resolved itself once I spoke to the hotel manager. I experience a great deal of anxiety during this stay - not like my previous stays at this hotel
This is an Intimate and quiet place with warm staff and a reasonably-priced breakfast. Close to Earl's Court tube station and many restaurants , as well as High Street Kensington. Was delighted to have a modern bathroom with rain shower head.
The London Lodge is a charming & lovely hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there. The room was a little tight for 3, but still quite comfortable with all the amenities we needed. Staff were friendly & extremely helpful. The restaurant was delightful & food delicious. Location of the hotel was perfect...nice & quiet neighborhood, very close to the tube station & bus stops, walkable to many of the sights and plenty of restaurants in the area. If we were to return to London, we would be very happy to stay here again.
Such comfy beds slept so well. Found the room on fourth floor a bit hot but as it had air conditioning this was not a problem. Room was very clean as was the bathroom that had bath with shower overhead . Very convenient for Earl’s Court tube. Staff very helpful and polite . Breakfast was cheap as had offer on with choice of continental or Full English. Food available for snacks and meals in restaurant at very reasonable prices but did not have time to sample. Can’t think of anything else that could be needed.
All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel was clean, nicely decorated and my double room had all the amenities I expect for a business stay. I had injured my shoulder in a fall before I arrived and the staff found me a triangular bandage / sling to support my arm. Great location if you are visiting Olympia.
We stayed three nights at this hotel and found it very convenient and easy to get to. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable and very quiet. Earls Court Tube Station was about 10 minutes walk from hotel. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. We would definitely recommend this hotel would return again if in London.
