On arrival the outside of the hotel is poor and not very welcoming. At reception there was only one person on the desk who was serving the people in front of me. The receptionist barely spoke to them and half way through checking them in - answered the phone. He then proceeded to answer 2 more calls before finishing checking them in. Whilst checking me in, the ‘gentleman’ was very rude whilst explaining to me that I couldn’t check in before my friend because she was paying. So I then added if the bar was open so I could wait, he then proceeded to tell me the bar was closed with no explanation as to why. When giving me directions to the room, i asked if there was a lift. The response I received was ‘this hotel is 120 years old, of course theres no lift’ as he laughed at me. After finally being able to get to my room, the door was wedged open by a cloth or piece of clothing. After removing the obstruction I find a man sitting on his phone on the chair in my room and a woman sitting on the floor laughing. She later explained she was ‘cleaning ‘ as the gentleman just kept shouting ‘10 minutes, 10 minutes’. I left to go buy a drink from the shop. On my return I decided I wanted to drink it on the terrace area I could see behind the restaurant. I then found out this was also ‘locked’ and that I wasn’t allowed in. I went back up to my room once the ‘cleaner’ had left to take a shower. But unfortunately the shower door was broken therefore the water would have gone all over the floor. I then thought I could put towels down, but unfortunately not a single towel was provided, not even a hand drying towel. This is the bare minimum I would expect at a hotel. I then look around the room to find splatters of unidentifiable brown liquid across the walls with damp stains seeping through a crack by the window. All in all, the stay was terrible. Usually, I would try and find something nice to say about a venue, but i cant think of anything. Very disappointing.

Well what can I say. It is run down. The floor in from the reception to our room on the ground floor was like walking on a trampoline! Room was cleanish. New carpet. It was 80% there on the cleanliness. Towels a little threadbare. Mattresses could do with an upgrade. But for the money was bearable. Little worried that the fire exits were proped open at gone midnight. Meaning anyone could come in. Breakfast!! Don't do it. Tuna and sweet corn and egg mayo. Cucumber and salad!! Not for breakfast. We stuck to toast and jam. Wish we'd of just gone off the McDonald's!. All in all it was OK. I wouldn't say great. But for a bed for the night and free parking it was fine. Not too sure we'd go back.

Paid £59 so wasn't expecting much but the rooms were filthy, bin bags and dirty laundry left outside my room, no hot water, nowhere near enough power outlets and charging £9 for limited WiFi is an absolute cheek! Save your money and look elsewhere.

I found this hotel to be fine, and a bargain price as well at £65 for a single room. Had a good nights sleep, as no heat on in the room, and no traffic noise or rowdy guests. It was a little small, but what can you expect for £65 in London? I was disappointed there was no traditional English fried breakfast available, so ended up having toast, cornflakes and coffee. However, we did find an excellent café just around the corner from Golders Green tube station, called "Bar Linda", which does a really good fry up for just £4.80, which I can highly recommend! There's buses running up and down Golders Green Road, every few minutes day and night, so great public transport links to the tube station and beyond!

So... I must to say that probably only one advantage of this 🏨 is that this hotel is close to the Northern line Tube and Golders Green station. However the inside of this building is... not good. So narrow corridors without lifts. Rooms are very small. It is visible that some of them were refreshed a little bit. The smell of paint is present inside but it's far away from London's standards. Also the regular price seems to be high. I'm sure that you'll be able to find something better even closer to the city centre. The staff is ok, helpful and nice for guests, but the breakfast could be better, much better in such hotel.

Honestly I even cannot understand how is possible that one hotel like this one can be still open! My bf and I spent just one night there cause was a rush temporary accommodation for one night and we found availability in this hotel, ok from the pics was looking not crazy but not a shame like for real was. Absolutely dirty, a lot of things in the room were broken and the staff not nice as well. Even if you have to spend one night near this area stay away from this hotel. I usually don’t like write bad reviews but this place really shocked us!

By looking at the pictures for this hotel I thought it would be a pleasant stay. However it was not...As we walked in the hotel it just felt bad...I had my 8 year old daughter with me and she didn't feel safe throughout our stay there. Cleanliness should definitely improve. I left the towels on the floor for them to be changed when we left the room and when we got back in the night they were still there with no new towels been left. I even had to go at reception one day to request toilet roll. The mattress of the single bed had a hole so it was not a very comfy sleep. The bed sheets they used were not big enough to cover the whole mattress so as soon as you lied there you ended up lying on the mattress. The beds on one of the days were not even made for us. Breakfast was a total disappointment as well! Every day the same things and not much variety at all. The variety they have for breakfast definitely needs a make over! Time for breakfast should also be later during weekends and bank holidays. If there is anything good to mention about this hotel is that the girls who were at reception were very pleasant, polite and helpful in contrast to the older man who was at times there who was rude. When we arrived I mentioned that the phone was not working and nobody even bothered to come and check on it. I would never stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

I made an error trying to save a bit of money staying out of the city and out of the mainstream hotels. It's a mistake I won't make again. The shower was but a trickle in the morning (room 8), the dining area only had a 2-stat hygiene rating and it felt generally like you were staying in somebody's house. In the end I didn't save money because I had a huge taxi fare back from the city!

All I’ll say is I checked in and walked right out and gave them back their keys and I had a 2 nights non refundable booking but I was willing to let go. Nothing in that place looked or felt right (security or cleanliness). I can’t be paid to lie down on the bed I saw in the room it just didn’t look right. I won’t stay here for FREE

The photos on the website and on make this look quite modern and presentable... In reality, this is nothing more than a B&B doss house... the rooms are tiny, dirty carpets, scuffed walls old tatty furniture. The bathroom is the size of a cupboard and very uncomfortable. The room was closed with the heating on which made if feel like a sauna, I had to turn the radiator off and have the window open to make it almost comfortable.. not great as it is on a busy road, so not good for sleeping I dont care how cheap this place is, it is not worth the money.. Pay 20 or 30 quid more and go somewhere that is not the KING SOLOMON hotel
