Hotel La Place is a small, older hotel, but very clean, comfortable, and with a very friendly and helpful staff. It's only 5 minutes walk from the Baker Street Underground station. Lots of restaurants nearby. My room was a single on the third floor. The elevator does not go to the fourth floor. The bed was oddly located in the room and looked as though the housekeepers would find it difficult to make up, but every day my room was cleaned thoroughly and the bed made perfectly. There were amenities such as a full length mirror, large closet with suitcase rack, extra pillows, an ironing board and iron. The bathroom was adequate, though the shower was quite small. Breakfast is included up to the "full English", and was well prepared. Staff are very, very nice,helpful, and someone is on duty 24 hours a day. I would definitely use this hotel again.
