It's in a perfect location you can't beat the price. I was in room 502 all the way at the top. It was clean and comfy. Yes, there is some wear and tear here and there but it's not a deal breaker. The only problem I had was the time for breakfast which was was 8 to 9:50. That's very late for a breakfast time. Also my room had a smell of sewage from the drain in the bathroom floor, but everything there was well kept clean and tidy.

I want my money back!!!! Dirty, nasty I went to another hotel

Just ok. Nice location ......................................

Stayed 6 nights. Was a bit worried about my stay after reading all the bad reviews. But surprisingly it was very good. Room was clean, housekeeping every day, they kept the room nice and tidy everyday. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Super location close to everything !!!! I did not eat there due to my schedule so not sure about the restaurant.

Terrible they put us in to a dungeon no elevator small room with a indo viewing the wall small smelly and humid

Room size and toilet was disappointing. Double bed almost covers 2/3 of the room, one side of the toilet was adjacent to the wall.

This hotel is deceiving. Most of the staff are super nice, and the aesthetics of the place seem glossy. HOWEVER, I stayed in this hotel in mid-January, and there was no way to turn on the heat in my room, on the top (5th) floor. (!!!) I was told by the night manager that no other rooms were available for a possible switch. I made a tent out of my duvet to keep warm, and in the morning discovered that water basically doesn't come out of either of the shower heads, no matter which of the three dials you fiddle with (water sprays directly onto the ceiling from the main pipe). Both seem like long-standing problems. There are signs everywhere that say "fire alarm test today", but they seem to have been there for some time (is every day alarm day?). The icing on the cake, though, is when I went down for breakfast I was told I would have to pay 10 pounds more. I showed them the hotel description listing free continental breakfast, but was nonetheless refused. By multiple staff. They have some cheek asking 10 GBP for cornflakes when they themselves wrote the "free breakfast" listing. (This would be a nightmare if you booked with a family). Upon leaving I was cold, semi-washed, and very hungry. As I told the staff at the time, I think a night at the YMCA would offer way better value for money. Certainly heat and a shower.

The rooms were clean but there was no phone in the room and a bunch of renovations. The location was great as well.

The hotel was under construction it was noisy; a bit dirty. there was no phone in the room; if u need to make a phone call u have to step out to go at the corner or at the nearest market. I would not recommend it to any other hotel customers. I was very disappointed....I should get a discount from the noise coming from the exit door next to my room...the first day I checked in, i don't think the room was vacummed...maybe once the construction is done...they can book the rooms....otherwise...not highly recommended for now...

I ordered a double room with two single beds, I got two single rooms. They were dirty, the bed springs were poking through the mattress in one off the two rooms, bit beds were extremely uncomfortable. When we saw the rooms we almost went down starts and demanded our money back. [...]

We thought we checked into a hotel. We were given a room with three beds head to head against a wall(hostel)- went to investigate outside bathroom - nonworking toilet with feces in the bowl and the shower had no shower head attached. Complained and given an en-suite room with sagging mattresses and ripped sheets. Toilet still did not work properly. Black mold and peeling paint on ceiling and walls. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, watered down juice and bad coffee. Telephones in lobby and room were non-operational. Had to go down two blocks to public phone. This "hotel" should not advertise as a hotel but as a hostel, but I would still not send my kids to it. This was the only disappointing experience in England. The staff could not answer any typical tourist questions as to directions to sights or when typical events may take place. They were totally uninformed or did not care. I rate this hotel ZERO STARS[...]

I would like to see this hotel renovated.

This hotel was in a good location & priced reasonable, that's why we booked it. It was horrible. Dirty, boxes of mouse poison in halls & the room. Had a shared, filty, digussing bathroom. Dirty room, 4 inch matteress on bed & just filty. When we returned to the "lobby' to complain we were told we had booked a "standard" room. We could up grade to a better room for 33 pounds more. It was not any better! We took a walk, found other hotels on the next block & left.

My brother and I were there to make my sister's funeral arrangements. The hotel and rooms were clean. Rooms were quite small by American standards, normal London size in this price range. Carpet was old. Staff was friendly enough. Street noise penetrated bedroom window at night. Nice light over bed. Excellent location. Sainsbury's supermarket around the corner, 2 good restaurants & a newsstand across the street. 8-minute walk from tube. Walking distance to a few museums, Kensington Gardens, and Hyde Park. Good neighborhood generally. Many similar hotels in neighborhood, plus some new high rise hotels.
