I travel with work a lot and stay in central London a few times a week. This is the first place I try to book when I'm in London. I am always well looked after from the minute I arrive to the moment I leave. I genuinely don't have a negative word to say about it. From the value for money to the comfort of the beds all boxes are ticked. The location is walking distance to public transport which can get you anywhere in the capital which is another bonus. The staff are on the front desk 24/7 and are always happy to help. They even recommend amazing restaurants nearby if asked. My only issue with it is it gets booked up quickly and the next best places close by aren't in the Glendales league. London needs more hotels like this and more staff like these guys. It really is a good experience start to finish! VIVA LA GLENDALE!!

Unfortunately this place was really not up to the standards. Hair on the bed sheets, 1 single toilet roll, the walls are full of dorty hand marks, the heating doesnt work, and its so full of dust.. Small tiny towels.. Honestly, i dont leave bad reviews but this was genuinely not a good experience. We ended up buying our own cleaning spray and toilet rolls

rapidly becoming my favourite place to stay in London. Look, its not the Ritz, but its nowhere near Ritz prices. This hotel is perfect for city breaks. I've never met staff as accommodating and helpful as the guys that work here. Its beyond clean. Extremely comfortable, in an amazing location and is leagues above the competition in the area. I've been travelling to London for the last 6 months and when they have availability, I stay here. I'm not just saying it but for the price you CANNOT beat this hotel. LONG LIVE GLENDALE

It's not clean, the room is very narrow, you can't move around at all. It doesn't have any services or necessities. It's also not safe as the door doesn't close securely.

PLACE WAS A DUMP. found dirty socks under bed. panties in heater. they did make bed, but not sure about cleaning no a/c. had a desk fan. no elevator. had to walk 2 flights of stairs. bacteriel hand soap instead of bath soap. no toiletries. room too small. not even six inches on side or bottom of bed. chips on bathroom sink.closet was a cubby hole about 10x15x24

I had to cut my trip short. I stayed for only one night, of the five nights I paid for. When I asked the concierge if there was anything I could do, he said it was only between me and my booking agent. So I called my booking agent (Expedia), and they said they would have to contact the hotel. Of course the Hotel said no. It would have saved me alot of time and aggravation if I had just been told the truth at the outset. Also, when I asked the front desk when my 50 pd deposit would be put back on my card, he said the day I left. But the day I left, another front desk worker said the next day. By contrast, my Canadian airline gave me a nominal refund as soon as I cancelled my flight. And I had not paid travel insurance. The British business ideal is honesty and fairness. The proprietors of this hotel were neither honest nor fair. I do not recommend this hotel!

The Glendale Hyde Park is just a short walk from Paddington stations and close to a variety of restaurants (our favourite was Bizarro Italian) and shops. The front desk staff was always available, pleasant and very welcoming. The twin room was quite cramped and had a musty odour. The beds were on rollers and would move if you leaned against the wall and were not very comfortable. The rooms do not have air conditioning but at least a fan was provided. Despite the great service, I would be pressed to stay here again.

Value for money Vs competition

This hotel is the best out of the lower end of my budget list. I type in hotel/private/bathroom/max £80 if I’m staying somewhere for work midweek. I don’t want anything fancy. Clean and tidy
