Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort

Would only book for an extended stay.

The hotel and grounds seemed like they would have been a lot of fun. Plenty of activities to do and great location. The only problem, you can't check in until 4pm and you have to be out by 11am. I would only stay here if you were planning on staying multiple days.

La Quinta Inn & Suites Carlsbad - Legoland Area

Great family room

We booked a suite that had two rooms in one and really liked it! One room had a king bed and the other had a kids bunk bed. BOTH rooms had bathrooms, which was amazing so we didn't disturb sleeping kids. The kids room also had a small kids table with chairs, a fun ocean mural, and both bunks had their own light. Great location, just minutes from the beach, restaurants, grocery store, and outlet mall. Really nice breakfast with pastries, cereal, fruit, waffle-makers, scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage. Would have preferred to have the fridge and microwave in the king room, so the kids didn't mess with it. This may be a general issue with hotels, but the floor seemed dirty, and we noticed our feet looked dirty after walking on the carpets. Overall, the good outweighed the bad. We would definitely come back and it was a great price!

Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa

Can't wait to return next New Years!

My daughter and I came to the New Years Eve bash and stayed at the hotel. The party was a blast and it was so nice to be able to walk to our room afterward. I highly recommend their New Years Eve family party! The staff were all fantastic and the room service food was great. We took advantage of the heated pool and spa, which was open 24 hours/day. Our stay was a bit pricey but well worth it. We enjoyed walking to the hotel's private entrance into Legoland where we purchased our tickets and avoided lines. I enjoyed the fridge in the room and the layout of the bathroom and room with balcony. We did not visit the restaurants but hope to next time! The weather was amazing and the location was great!
