Very hospitable stay in Kyoto

The Intergate was really beautiful, very comfortable, and a great stay in Kyoto. We arrive late in the afternoon, were hungry and tired and were thrilled to find a complimentary happy hour with a variety of treats and drinks. What a welcome! The facility had everything we needed and found our connecting rooms perfect for our family of 4.

Overall a nice hotel. Daily refreshments and snacks depending on the time of day was a nice touch but the front desk staff did not tell us about this when we checked in, still managed to enjoy it so no harm done. Facilities were ok with massage chairs, onsen and only two washing machines available, with such a busy hotel it was a fight for vacancy!

We like the breakfast options as well as their afternoon sembei, wine hour, and ochazuke hour. Having this space available for our group of eight travelers was a plus to let us chat. The staff are excellent at arranging for cabs and other needs. The facility has a public bath too. The laundry only has 2 washers so it can get backed up as the dryers needed 2x to dry. We did a search for coin laundry nearby and found a good one with large washer/dryer units that would complete it in 1 hour that was a couple of blocks away. One of our friends left a duty free package and they found it and shipped it to a relative so we could pick it up later. I have stayed here multiple times now.
